Runescape's #1 Players Throughout The Years

- Hey y'all, in today's video I would like to go over a good portion of the #1 players within Runescape throughout the years. From 2002 to Now. Even though I try to avoid errors, I am sure I missed a few players along the way and for that I apologize.

Other shoutouts regarding the video:
Bluerose13x: 1st to 99 smithing in RSC days, reached #2 on leaderboard overall, potentially #1 for short bursts.
Green098: in top 10 for significant portions in early RS2, was even said to have reached #1 temporarily
xxphatmagexx: reached #1 on the hiscores in late 2009
Tezzjr/Miss Tree: reached #1 on the hiscores around late 2009
Corrections:
*mispronounced telmomarques, corrected through text on screen.
*misspoke and said "bonebreak6", the player's name is bonebreaker6 (corrected via text on screen)
*I also found out afterwards in an old Zezima AMA on reddit that his name is pronounced "ze-zih-ma", therefore I mispronounced this as well
*there was a player in the 2011 era that held #1 temporarily named jdelacroix. I pronounced lacroix as "la crew" it seems to be pronounced "la-croy"

Its not necessarily RS history but jagex history. I recently talked with a friend who hasnt played since the early 2000s. We cant remember the names of the games but jagex tried making other games. We specifically remember a game where u chose a wizard and had to semi platform and shoot spells at another player. Does this ring a bell? If so make a vid on it im sure itll flood peoples memoeybanks

I remember seeing kingduffy 1 overtake Zezima and it being the "talk of the town" for a while whenever it would be brought up. The community felt so small and large at the same time back then. Everyone was just interested in playing to have fun and enjoy the content and shit talk while the economy collapsed lol
now we play to suffer and the economy is collapsing in real life ....wow
N0valyfe deserves a video just on him, his brief career was exceptional for the era. Dude arguably pioneered efficiency-scape
his old website is a pretty great archive of 2004-2006 era. He started an account and overtook Zezima within like 18 months of account creation. I think he was one of the first players to have multiple 200m skills
Had the chance to converse with N0valyfe while WC'ing maples back in the day.. I'm surprised there isn't already a video about that growth ✨✨
I'd like to see a video on the first 99s, first 200m in each skill, and how many 99/200ms there were per-year, in both games

I remember clearly meeting N0valyfe in 2006 chompy bird hunting when he was successful achieving rank 1. He'd pretty much done all the high score stuff and was doing what we'd probably consider as the trimmed completionism stuff. This guy from memory sort of just came out of nowhere around the front page Runescape 2 high scores around 2006. Around the time I was playing the main top cats were Zezima, Uloveme, Chopperman and Liluffie88 plus Yogosun. It was a big thing back then with the older players completing big chompy bird hunting, castle wars sets, champion scrolls. It was a different time, and it was a great time to see these things that were super duper rarely seen completed.

You have a really amazing channel dude. I was active in many of the communities you make videos on and I thought most of this was gone forever. I don't know how to explain the very early runescape/youtube communities. They were all super weird in hindsight.
I thought Bluerose13x was #1 for a minute. She was one of the first to 85 mining and was the first to get 99 smithing, making her the only person in game who could make rune full plate for a short period of time. Even if TKS was the #1 at the time, Bluerose was the most important player during early RS.
Of course a woman was the first to get 99 cooking

i'm pretty sure Gertjaars was banned for rwt or botting. He used to have certain ranks in the 200m high scores and you can't find them these days. He was the 2nd person to get 200m crafting and 8th to get 200m ranging xp. Also 7th to hit 200m firemaking

As many runescape youtubers, i see that you're trying to expand, but you won't lol, this is your niche and this is best chance you have. I don't want to put you down, but IMO this is the reality, you can try to move onto any other subject you want, but those kind of topics are so over saturated that the chance to break in there are next to nothing. Do what you want to do, but runescape is your most likely key to success
