Great coverage! Ignore those guys that are saying this video is bad or whatever.
Good video brother love watching mow work
Love the Guy with the Lantern LOL.
There will be some flat rail there for sure.
Engine must be slipping on the rail
love the throttle great video
For sure, awesome sound. Don't get to hear that clearly with a moving train and wheels clacking.
Looks like the derailment caused the rail to roll over in the crossing. That'll be a pain to correct. Did they ever get Hulcher or RJ Corman out there for the rest of the mess?
RJ Corman trucks were in the north Worcester area a few weeks back, grade crossings have seen new work.
If Magneto weren't a bad guy he would be very helpful in this situation...
Only thing interesting about this video is the sound of that EMD 16-645E3.
It was really cranking it up, but couldnt seem to do more than just a short budge. Thanks for uour note. Please subscribe.
@@agawam68
Subscribe? Why? Lame video except for the EMD sound. The axle that was supposedly rerailed, if you watch closely, was not entirely rerailed.
@@ckuehncnwhsyt Thanks for your kind comment. I guess you must have been there as well. No need to watch the video then.
Soooo how did they get them all back on?
Here in Illinois we have derailment Cruise that have special machines that are lift the rail cars back up and put them back onto the tracks you would think that everywhere every rail company would have them kind of equipment
what is the purpose of the chain hooked in the bogie?
The chain is hooked to the lead end of the truck assembly and the car body. So that the lead wheels are up off the ground in order to re rail them. Once the lead wheels are back on, the trailing wheels should hopefully follow
Matthew is correct, the chain can NOT lift the wheel it can only help steer the wheel in the correct direction.
Nice!
How did this happen?
Good thing they didn’t tip. We had a derailment a few years ago here in CT. Pan Am’s PLED was crawling north thru New Britain at the 15 mph track speed when 7 overloaded bathtub gons tipped and spilled trash and debris all over the road.
That was back before the Dash 8’s when the CT line was powered by GP40’s (350-353 & 319) and PW 2009. Wish we could go back to those days, now I have to travel all the way to Maine to see the GP40’s.
New Britain, My home town. When I was little, I used to watch trains from an over pass on West Main.
The rails in the switching yard just west of this derailment are in horrible shape. These run along the east bank of Farm Pond, and run behind residences. Huge flat burrs, some rusted and fallen off, giant gaps between rails, crushed heads, sunken sleepers. And always loaded with lots of trains with nasty chemicals. If anyone knows someone who can inspect these tracks, please do! This pond is historic and the center of leisure activity in downtown Framingham. We can't afford to have an accident here due to negligence.
Definitely a CSX moment. I saw the aftermath of the derailment on my MBTA train to Worcester.
Now at 21 dislikes. Some people give a dislike to keep this, or other vids, from showing up in their feed. Not that they have a dislike for anything in particular about the vid. Just that they want something else.
If they're working on that rear truck on the tanker car, didn't they notice the tanker's front truck is also off the rail?
Go point. I noticed that MANY of the wheels on the first five cars were off the tracks.
If that's carbon dioxide in those tanks it might have been a botched hijacking by the hard-up brewers crippled by the shortage🙂
Don't understand why they don't uncouple each car and use a rerailer and then recouple the next car, and so-on ,instead of wasting time with 4x4s
The rail flipped over so it would be very difficult to get the wheels back on the rails in such a precarious state.
Well they better hook up 2 or 3 on that wet rail to even have a chance, but doubtful.
Looked to me like they were just trying to clear the crossing till more equipment could get there. They only blocked the last truck so it wouldn't do more damage to the crossing which would be harder to repair. The front truck they let just keep crunching through what was left of the track.
Instead of fighting the resistance of every derailed wheel all at the same time why wouldn't they just unhitch 1 or 2 cars down from the locomotive, rerail those then backup and rehitch, go down 1 or 2 more cars and unhitch there and re rail those next two cars, and so on.
They need to seperate the first car then rail it and fix the track and couple one more and do the same again.
Or get another engine.
What's up bro remember me from way back in the day al taft
Couldn't have chosen a better place to derail. Breakdown engineer, hang on I'll just give this front wagon a shove while you take it up to notch 10
À cause des locomotives trop anciennes dans ce cas là
They ca use frogs where the street stops. Those butterfly frogs will work.
As everyone can see frogging the cars on wet rail with one SD-40-2 ain't gonna work trying to get them all back on the rail at the same time. Better call Hulcher to get them all back on the rail and a whole lot faster than they're going to with one SD-40-2. Just my two cents.
I can see there MOW is a bit lacking if everything hit the ground but three you can't blame that on the crossing being filled in to much
IT'S JUST THE AFTERMATH
We can fix this. Here, you grab one end and I'll grab the other. Remember, lift with your legs! On three. Ready? ONE...TWO....
Click bait. No footage of derailment.

I don't know what aspect ratio you are attempting... but it sure hurts.
I tried to hang in there. I'd rather grab you by the ears and make you focus on what matters instead of that damn panning left and right. That thumbs down... It's mine.

I saw no derailment. The train was already stopped. Should have said “boring video with crappy camera work of cleanup”

@@agawam68 you have thick skin and a good sense of humor. Anyone with vision can see the derailment. Rodger H. is a noob !
@@psbergeron03 I dont let folks like that disturb me. They are already disturbed!
That could have been me conducting that train. I leave for training in Atlanta Nov 20th to become a Conductor for CSX for the Framingham yard. I'm glad to see no one was hurt and not a huge amount of damage done. Could have been much much worse.
The work of the clean up crew is truly amazing....and dangerous
Good luck to you and stay safe!
