24 years since it's release in the UK and it is still a banging tune today. When I first heard Anastacia's voice singing this it blew me away, went and bought the single , then the album. I was in Berlin for a month in 2000, and this song was everywhere. I was hooked instantly. I thought Anastacia was European, because I had never heard of her or her music. I had to dive deep into research when I returned to the States (I didn't have internet back then) I was shocked to find she was American. I found it a damn shame such a talented and beautiful singer wasn't a huge star in her own country. I've been a fan ever since! Can't believe it's been 21 years since this song was released.
Given the time period in which she gained recognition i feel it would’ve been extremely hard for her to break in America. The industry was saturated with sultry female pop singers - Britney, Beyoncé, Kylie, Spice Girls, Pink. European audiences were very blessed to hear of Anastasia, an amazing vocalist who in another time period would’ve been international.

This track never gets old for me. It takes me back to the first time I heard it on the dance floor in a club in Sydney Australia. I bought the CD at the airport when returned to Canada. I was introduced and completely in love with Anastacia. Her anthems are legendary and every gay club dance floor was transported to high levels of frequency as we danced the night away. She continues to elevate the music scene and for me is one of my favourite artists. I sincerely hope to see her live one day!

This was a big hit in Australia. I did think she was a bit ahead of her time and really needed a style people could copy. She’s strong and quite physically perfect for her age. Her serious talent was too great for the purpose. She was not promoted properly for her abilities. There’s no way I at this late stage can copy this. I was hoping it was less clubby and goddess like.
