That awkward moment when more Americans are relating to the Mexican girl’s food and not the American’s . Lol
Yes!
RiP- true tho
The awkward moment when I as a Mexican relate more to the American girl....I didn't crave anything from the Mexican lady...besides the tamales and posole. I guess that's what happens when I have lots of Korean and Chinese friends growing up. I eat like them and crave Asian food more.
RIGHT
Linda Vel sameee I have a Asian friend and go to her house a lot and always eat dumplings and ramen and Asian deserts it’s sooo much better than what my mom cooks
This should be LA vs Mexican food lmaoo
It is
taiwanese vs mexican food
Yeah
Mexican Vs Asian food 😅
That Asian girl be eatin good
They should do a “What different American ethnicities eat in a week” or smth and compare White/Caucasian-American, Asian-American, Mexican-American, and African-American just to see the diversity between the meals within the same country :) (also cuz I feel like they’d all be very different from each other)
Facts
no more america pls 😩
Yes please! This would be super interesting
YESS that would be really interesting.
YESSS AGREED
Should be asian vs mexican food
Ye
Imagine they make that an Anime battle
Exactly. That's not typical American food.
Yup, feel like it's hard to hard a representation of all America. It's so diverse
True tho
Mexican American vs Mexican would be cool to see
Monica Solis this is legit what it is lmao
Yea
@@K.d_ship no it isn't this is a Mexican and asian-american
Yes
Why do they like our country
I’m Mexican-American and typically eat the foods the girl from Mexico ate, so it would be interesting to see what white-Americans eat weekly
I'm white and eat more like her too, but I am from Texas so maybe that skews it.
The American does not eat what a normal American eats lol
@꧁ʕ•ᴥ•ʔ omg ʕ•ᴥ•ʔ꧂ Not that type of White American i ththink they mean like someone who has deep American roots. What you eat can be put in a Greek video
100% agree, would be super interesting
@꧁ʕ•ᴥ•ʔ omg ʕ•ᴥ•ʔ꧂ that sounds pretty good ngl
That's why I love Mexico🤠😍
You can see the difference of voice tones manera and movement that Mexican haves and I think it’s sooo friendly and warm
Yaaa, I agree🤗. I may only be Mexican-American, but people in Mexico are warm, friendly, and genuine people ❤
This Mexican girl is a living god, HOW DID SHE OPEN A MAZAPAN WITHOUT BREAKING IT
No
Title should read "A Week Of Food: Asian-American Vs. Mexican"
rich asian-american lol
i mean ok, but if they were white would you say "white-american vs. mexican"??
Rania J sorry but white people ain’t eating that everyday
@@raniaj8462 Use common sense do you think they'll call it that? I mean if they were to use that then French-American, Russian-American and many more title for different mix raced people would cease to exist.
I don't think I want to know the LA woman's food bill for that week, oof
Im glad I’m not the only one who thought this 😱
Guys.. She mentioned her mom a lot in the video. I can only conclude that her mom made all the dishes. It would of been a lot more authentic if she was actually cooking her own meals like the girl in Mexico.
@@EllieBoBellie13 She mentioned a lot of takeout as well I believe
The Mexican is so much more genuine I feel like
Yeah. Latinos are more social and friendly. The one in LA seems very rigid and comes across as too corporate professional.
@@DiamondFlame45 yeah sure but I mean like the other one seems so staged and as if she changed her life for that video
no i feel like the american has a very normal “camera-personality”. i’m sure she is nice as well in real life and eats those foods. tbh i eat less than her so her food is believable at least to me.
genuine people don't live in LA, if they picked a nicer city it would've been similar to the mexican girl
I thought it was going to be like that but I disagree both ate really clean down to earth foods and I think both were genuine
How she open the mazapan without breaking it😳
Hahaha I was thinking the exact same thing
With care and love
@@cindymartinez2152 I just went "awww" at your comment, that's so sweet and wholesome
@@cindymartinez2152 that's how you gotta open a mazapan
I had 35 years of practice, now I am an expert ;)
Twerking Class? How do I sign up yo 😭😭
Am I the only American who eats plain things like cereal 🥣 or a bagel with cream cheese 🥯?!!
They go fancier for the show i guess
Welcome to the club
Keep in mind that she lives in LA. This is very LA food. The rest of the country is normal like you.
Before An Blogger She is an Chef, She would obviously try to make the food herself most of time
Sonic Cookie
I agree. Another reason is that she is a different ethnicity, and obviously different ethnicities eat less of what “normal” Americans eat. Not saying different ethnicities can’t though lol
Diana: Ya voy a comer saludable.
*Come tacos dorados, tecolotes, tamales...*
Honestly, me. ❤️
American: this is Taiwanese
And this is japanese, chinese and korean lmao
Pak is known as a first name in S. Korea.
Twerking class?!?!? That sounds interesting
😂 😂 😂 😂
Kinda wondered about that
when was that
yea, twerking is a type of dancing lol
How are you
The diversity of foods in the U.S.A and Mexico is really big. You'll need more than 100 videos to cover it all up. That's why some people may not feel identified with the foods shown in this video. Both countries have immigrants all over and that's what makes their cultures so rich, this may not look like "American food" for some people... but what really is then?
I agree with your comment, is wrong to generalize what the American and Mexican people eat just for one person who obviously had a different influence based on their culture and habits
"Both countries have immigrants all over and that's what makes their cultures so rich"
No.1 Not really with Mexico. No.2 such a comment like this makes it sound like countries like Japan, Norway, South Korea does not have much culture when really their cultures are even Richer.
@@SmellsLikeNirvanna mexico does have immigrants from all over the world since the colonial days it had the most diverse colonial population in the americas and the culture impacted mexico, there are many things in mexican culture that might seem very mexican but has roots in India, China, Russia, Romani, Morocco, Egypt etc not to mention all these people genetically influence our gene pool which is why most mexicans are very mix racially which you can find youtube videos of mexicans taking a dna tes. Now a days its the USA due to its economy while in Mexico the immigrant population isn't as big as the one in the USA. Not to mention, the average American isn't mix race and everyone tend to marry within their own group creating. Mexico is a true melting pot country, meanwhile America isn't.
@Carlos M. melting pot of ethnicity. USA is a melting pot of culture. Difference. Mexico’s history of mixing was long ago, it’s basically homogenized at present. The USA hasn’t. There’s a difference between cultural melting pot and just being a racial one. It’s the reason why you can put an asian lady in this video with asian style food and call it American but if you did it calling it “Mexican” it will make no sense.
Thats what I am saying! Not only is the Americans girls diet very asian American but its very LA too I feel! There is no one diet for Americans and same for Mexico. My family is from Mexico but not Mexico city so our foods look very different than hers. I love seeing our differences
People think mexicans are all about hot stuff, but nooo, they should appreciate our food a little 😞
“are u sure about that”
@@goalback2766 "yes we are sure"
@@goalback2766 "super duper sure"
I think it depends where from. My family is from apatzingan and we love our food spicy haha
I wouldnt really say this is usa vs mexico
More like asian and mexico
like asian-american and mexico
Diana is living her best life! AND IM HERE FOR IT!
She's so cute! And I agree. She inspired me to treat myself😙
Video edit: Asian American food VS central México food
okay, but how much money does that American girl spend on her food-
Pancakes for dinner make me nostalgic for my time in Mexico when I was a child 💗
American Southern girl says: We are having pancakes for dinner because they are cheap. Same thing for biscuits and gravy.
Dude I’m from Nuevo León and the choco mil actually hit home 🥺
Greetings
I once ordered that at Starbucks y me dieron algo súper raro.. Ni estaba roja.. I felt weird
How are you
I really like that they asked an Asian American to do this! I feel like as an Asian American I'm a perpetual foreigner and this helped to normalize what I like
How did she open the mazapan without breaking if your mexican you know what im taking about
Took me 20+ years of practice haha
Uhh... I broke it and it fell 😭🔫🗿 I know
Only the true pros know.... 😋
Master
Omg this is so accurate , being from mexico city and being home . its simple delicious quick food or snacks . choco milk with platano got me hahahhaha
Im gonna eat healthier-then eating fried tacos and chocolate bar 😂
I love flan, flan is a staple in my household. My abuela made the best flan
"Estar con los amigues" - Queen. I see you and I appreciate you for challenging patriarchal Spanish!
1:35 HOW SHE DO THAT I HAVE NEVER OPENED A MAZAPAN WITHOUT BREAKING IT
There is a way to do it :]. I also know it :D
eagletmars HOW
@@MAXRIMA22 first, make sure your mazapan is fully intact before you try it. Many people try to open it, and it is already on the verge of falling apart.
1. Find a fully intact mazapan
2. Slowly grab the mazapan from the middle wrapping that is sticking out (to be unwrapped). Once you make it looser, you will see the other edges that you can pick from.
3. The point is to not put too much pressure on any corner, so start in the middle, and work your way to whichever wrapping part is available (middle one is most noticeable at first), until more and more edges from the wrapping slowly come undone.
That should help, and if it doesn't work the first time, try again :D ♡
OMG YUUUUM PINEAPPLE CAKE!!! I havent had that in ages but its so so good. I still havent had breakfast yet and Im lying in bed just watching youtube and it's almost noon
I would love to visit Mexico
yesss, it’s beautiful and the people are so nice and fun! I hope you can visit one day!
I have been there because I am Mexican it's so beautiful and the food is so good you can find different shops on the as some times 💗
Streets sometimes*
beca :] I hope so too!! Definitely after covid!
Cami Paiz I want to eat the food 😭😭
Feel like Americans eat in such different ways that you can make a series only about how different ethnicities in the US eat and still be super diverse. Do you agree?
Thanks for reminding that I REALLY need to try brown sugar boba popsicles!
This is gonna sound so weird, but as a mexican girl who lives in the north of Mexico, I was shook to see the difference of how we eat in the north compared to how people eat on the middle-south of the country. And yes, we do have some dishes in common, but it changes so much from region to region. It’s fascinating!
Greetings
Jasmine did well in representing Taiwanese-Korean (with some Vietnamese and Japanese) cuisine. I think she ate a little healthier than an average US person.
Title that also works : Mexican food vs asain food
I know no American in America who eats like this American.
I do 😗
She’s Asian tho so it makes it more diverse and interesting she be eating goooood 😍
You should get out more
I know no Mexican in Mexico who eats like this mexican
Juan Los maybe regional differences
Jasmine's diet looking very similar to mine, lots of noodles, I'm craving sushi and boba too! 😍
Literally no average American eats what the American ate.
Thank you
Ikr
asian americans (like myself) do :p
I mean she was just showing us her actual meals, if she tried to make it more "Americanised" she wouldn't be being authentic to herself
You’re telling me those basic ppl be drinking overpriced agua de Jamaica. I didn’t know hibiscus tea is agua de Jamaica. 😂
Never been to a video this soon in my life
i mean.. everyone angry at the 'wrong' diversity examples etc.. but you got a lady here representing mexico who had a milkshake for dinner calling it a complete meal.... she isnt representing the average any person lol
That’s literally average, chocomilk is super popular. Take out food too, KFC, McDonalds, Crepes, Italian food, Chinese food. We eat that a lot in Mexico
Ahhh I love Diana’s voice!!
There should be *Mexican vs Indian* food
I wanna see which food is more spicy 🙏
Winners don’t do different things, they do things differently.
-The Shades
These week of foods from diff countries are great! Keep em coming pls! I wanna see HK and NY, or Indian and Australia or something like that
This was insightful. Thank you. As an American, I realized how two people can come from the same country and have dramatically different diets. I don’t eat like either host in this episode; however, both culinary styles look enticing (especially the hot cakes with condensed milk 🥞)
So we gonna ignore twerking class? 😂
Watching her eat foods from Mexico makes me feel home sick 🥺 especially the tunas! I miss just being able to walk down to el tianguis and buying a big box of them for what the price of 1-2 would cost here in Cali (along with stores calling them “exotic fruit”, um whaaaa).
Greetings
This borders on being sadistic!!! Every bite looked spectacular! The Taiwanese pancake nearly killed me. The vegan meal ( being a vegan myself) was very pleasing. Thank you for the joy!!
"obviamente con todas las normas de seguridad debidas"
yo: VEMOS
Damn these people eat super healthy, I guess I'm wrong when I eat chicken nachos for breakfast 🤣🤣🤣
9:44 I love that she said “Amigues” :3
The way she made the coffee is the reason I clicked on this video!!!! Yum
I want the Hispanic girls youtube I could watch her ALL DAY
Am I the only lazy person that has cereal or oats for breakfast?!
Funny how the Mexican girl at first starts trying to look super healthy with her food, but then comes “delivery Friday” and all of the days after that become “delivery day”!!! Hahahahaha on the other hand the American girl eats what it is real healthy food. Also what’s with the “amigues”? Thing?? No sea ridícula hombre!
Choco milk smoothie with banana is sooo good, I either do chocolate or blended strawberries. Though I don’t eat it for dinner, to me it’s honestly a snack LOL (also the clown palleta is BOMB)
That Asian girl's meal is almost like Korean style.
Mazapan sounds soo good right now.the egg and bean combo is also bomb! I definitely think the mexican meals slapped on the American ones.
That tuna/tomato/crackers lunch looks yum! And I too have had dessert every day since COVID started. No regrets!
To the people reading this: have a wonderful day and stay safe during these hard times 🧤😷🙏
Have a cookie to feel better 🍪 🍪
Thank you Cookie Monster
She opened the marzipan without breaking I love her
Wtf is a Marzipan
I rarely see anyone with the same name as me so when I saw that at the beginning of the video someone was named Diana, I was so excited!!! 😁😁👍 Also loved this video Idea!!! 👏👏👏
is a common name in mexico but still I think very unique not a lot of people has it 😁
Yup very common name in Mexico, I know at least 3 here in Mexico City.
She is eating more asian food than american food
Wow el Marzapan didnt break... That's so rare
Greetings
I was hoping to see some bistec encebollado, ropa vieja, or carimañola.
Central and South American breakfasts are so much better than the standard fare served at a Denny's or IHOP.
@Jasmine
Frankly, the food the average American is chowing down, is a lot more diverse than the "USA" food shown in your video, Tuesday tacos, Wednesday a pizza, Thursday chowmein, etc. you get the drift. Otherwise, the video would need to be recaptioned as "a week of Asian-American food vs. Mexican food".
Or even better, just as suggestion for a follow-up video, would you consider making a follow-up video, entitled "stepping outside my culinary bubble", when you would eat unfamiliar food (to you) that can be easily ordered in melting-pot LA, for a week or so, e.g. Ethiopian, Soul, Persian and Peruvian, which sound like interesting and contrastive options to me personally.
A week of food in Mexico VS a week of food in Asia*
Seriously. Thank you. Because thats not what normal Americans eat. Thats a different cultures food.
honestly lol
Say it louder for the ppl in the back
But she lives in America. Why are you so bothered? She's American and Asian, she can eat whatever she wants
It's so funny that y'all say "that's not what normal Americans eat" by normal do u mean white? wth
Man, I am hungry now. Vamos a comer !!!
A Tragar se a dicho! XD
Brown sugar bars?! That sounds delicious! Where are those found?! I’m suddenly STARVING
You can probably find them at your Asian grocers. Or just try the internet.

LMAO TWERKING CLASS!
"I don't do takeout much"
Has cooked like 5 of her meals (no offense)
“Un poco de Chile” puts a bunch
Why was my mouth watering ALL VIDEO???? I agree, she is asian American and her culinary experience is asian/American, not traditional American. Traditional American is donuts, waffles, breakfast sandwiches, croissants biscuits and bagels, burgers and hotdogs and southern foods like mac and cheese, bbq ribs , philly cheese steaks ECT! As a Mexican American my diet is very similar to my Mexican girl, but also it has a very traditional American twist.. I enjoyed the video! But I would also enjoy a video of a Mexican American vs Mexican food diary
Random question does ANYBODY know any contractors in Mexico that can build a wood mobile home?
can we talk about the twerking class lmao
El Pozole Rojo got me right in the belly feels
That smoothie Tomate joke 😂😂😂
I eat the same two to three options for breakfast and lunch always, only my dinner ever varies
i love that she said “amigues”
Please do Mexico vs Canada
My mouth during this whole entire time 🤤
Ah year nostalgia in the thumbnail (He's a clue I'm not American)
NGL I really like these types of videos but I’m Nigerian and I wish there was a Nigerian representative you know to show off the *BEAUTIFUL*😘 culture
😩Oaxacaño pozole on a cold day🙌honestly it’s crazy how different northern Mexican food is v. Southern Mexican
Mexico city isnt in the southern or northern part, its part of Central México
There’s no such thing as too Asian to be able to display American food. America is a diverse country made up of different ethnicities. Theres no such thing as universal American food like this is what all Americans eat because there’s no such thing as a universal American all Americans are different and that’s what makes this country so great.
The Mexican American girls food looked so bomb. Only thing I would have done differently would be to sub the bacon for nopales and have nopales with eggs and then sub out the meat for a veggie protein source. Her meals looked so good! I got so many ideas from her. Going to try making nopales quesadillas now. The Asian American girls food looks delicious too. I love vinegar foods but I have no idea how to cook any of it properly.
Finally I am not weird for eating the crust before the pizza TwT
Can someone please explain what exactly chlorophyll water is? Why is it green? Is it ACTUALLY sugar water that the plants produce? Is it sweet? I've never seen this in the US before and I'm really curious.
Love those brown sugar boba bars!
Hello my friend
Ahhh eggs with bacon or salchichas, refried beans and a cup of coffee.. that’s my breakfast every single day yum! 🙂
Giiiirl! I need the list from the restaurants your ordered from in Mexico City!
Im here for the Mexican food! 😋❤
