He’s 40 and he’s styll better than 90% of the nhl lol
As a Caps fan, I watched every one of their games except the blow-out loss to the Red Wings (because I accidentally found out the score before I watched it). Thus I caught every goal Ovi scored during the season.
My observation for this past season: where's his trademarked one-time slap-shot from his office (the left face-off circle)? Seems like he didn't score that many from there. As it turned out, among the 31 goals, he only scored 6 from his slap-shot, against the Predators (#7), the Stars (#9), the Panthers (#11), the Avalanche (#14), the Flames (#21) and the Leafs (#22). And he scored the first one on 12/30, more than 2 and 1/2 months into the season.
As a comparison, out of his 42 goals in 2022-23, he scored 11 from his trademarked slap shot.

Despite that abysmal first half of the season, breaking the record seems like a matter of when not if again. He's 42 away, so he only needs to average 21 in the final two years of his contract. He scored at a 52-goal pace (22 in 35 games) after the all-star break. Will he do it late next season?
Im pretty sure yes but he needs new playmaker to feed him. Hopefully caps will get one on next years deadline.

Все голы как близнецы: либо из офиса вантаймер либо из офиса сразу после сбрасывания, ну и парочка голов на добивании. И теперь у Ови другой распасовщик - это Строум, который сам большую часть сезона был лучшим бомбардиром команды.
Тебе ясно на английском, да с указанием номеров шайб и команд, выше написали: из 31 гола всего 6 из офиса. С другой стороны, чего ж другие не забивают, если это так легко?
