I cried a bit when Hwasa gestured at Wheein at "Half of my life is yours" while smiling at each other....their friendship is really magical, I mean, what are the chances you and your CHILDHOOD bestfriend will get to be in the same group in the Kpop industry?? As all of you already know a lot of friends in Kpop got /inevitably/ into different companies....but WheeSa tho... THEY ARE SO STRONG.....damn,, I CRY EVERY TIME I SEE THEM BEING ALL BFFs

I'm sorry but no female idol group compares to Mamamoo. Their line distribution and how they're actually a vocal group. I can't even imagine how amazingly live their concert would be! They are the future and I feel like they're what other female idol groups should strive to be.

I like the diversity of groups and concepts, many people like different things and they're not all going to be vocal powerhouses, so I'd word it differently. What I'd want them to strive for is having great relationships and putting their emotions on stage, whether fun or other, like Mamamoo :)

But if you see the big picture, although they all say they want to last such and such long, most of these idol groups will graduate into other fields in the entertainment industry or creating their own music - the best scenario would be getting together once in a while to produce an album. So really... idk, they gotta do what they gotta do. Also, Mamamoo's performance concept isn't something they can just train for tbh, they've got to be born with it whereas dance and vocals can be trained. But with the rise of MMM I think maybe we can look forward to new girl groups with similar energy ^^

I can see many future groups looking up to them because they want to make fun stages and actually train their vocals. I'd appreciate that. They don't have to be powerhouses but I do feel they're the type of group any idol group should strive to be like. They could be the start of what the next generation needs in a way. ;)
Houston Scott Yes, to this! So many groups now are gushing over Mamamoo, if this happens then I'm really looking forward to the next generation. Sorry if I seem like I was "arguing" with you, aha. I just have many thoughts on it. Like how there have been powerhouse girl groups before, but what they lacked was a dynamic stage presence and being able to control an audience's attention (I guess that's why they aren't as popular) - I think that's what really counts as an "idol" and artist. So even if they're not the best singers, if they can do the antics that Mamamoo does on stage like it's the most natural thing in the world, I'm all on board~ Another example is Bomi and Eunji of APink, and I'm sure other idols, but the thing is putting them all into one group xD

The producers of this show must've love the girls so much, I'm not complaining tho because I get to see such amazing performances.
of course they do, and it shows. how it shows? Mamamoo is the only female group that has appeared in Immortal Songs like *14-15* times. the next female group with the most appearances is Gfriend with 4-5. unfortunately in 2019 they stopped appearing due to their schedule. but we got more than performances when other groups don't even get 1-2 so it's more than alright.
even the veteran singers, etc said very good words even when they appeared for the 1st time as complete rookies. one of them said that in 2015 they will win the best rookie award, and they did win.
@@SapiaNt0mata 14-15 times was possible because they actually won it thrice (u get nominated each round and if u win u get the next perf)- first idol to achieve this feat and the one's with the most wins (3)- ggs. They perform competing against actual veteran artists and musicans btw.
immortal song really show how talented moonbyul as a rapper, how she's difference with other idols rapper, she is soulful...whenever she is rapping, it give me shivering and shoot straight to my heart...solar, wheein and hwasa??well nothing much to say about them, they are super talented with super power vocal and no need to argue that.. they are complete each other, without over shadow each other..everyone has their A++ factors, thats why i fall in love with mamamoo...

I agree. Moonbyul is shining in her own in every of their performance here. It might be short but i don't know man, I am looking forward to her raps. It's like a spoken poetry, she does it really really natual.

I forgot to say it somewhere else, so I'll say it here. I don't usually like traditional rap which is kind of gruff and tough. This is probably one of the main reasons why I've loved Moonbyul's voice and rap from the very first clip I've seen. Her voice is deep and powerful yet melodious, when she raps, many times it sounds like she is melodiously reading a poem, and of course I love it even when she uses the traditional style 'cause that suits the power of her voice as well. She's the only rapper I've seen who can incorporate so much emotions in their rap part, even if it's short, and I love every bit of it even though I don't understand Korean, and the way she uses her voice to portray those emotions just leaves me speechless❤️❤️ In conclusion, I love Moonbyul's rap to an unhealthy extent and it's fine by me😅🥰😍😍❤️❤️❤️❤️

When I first heard Moonbyul rap I thought it was awkward and didn't match with their selected songs, but now I realized how much power and emotion it adds to their performance. I swear I almost cried when she stepped up and rapped the second part. They know where to add her to fit the songs.

Please don't take this as a hate comment, but I still can't get the "feel" for Moonbyul's raps. Idk, they still seem awkward and out of place/rhythm. Otherwise, I usually love her adlibs and the singing is always on point!

At first, I was awkward at it too. But, as time goes by, I realized that byul's rap isn't just rap, she's trying to tell a story on their performances in immortal song so she changes up her tone whenever they we're here. But, her normal rap on their songs really isn't like this/

Eventhough I'm not professional in music (and also not good in English) but I want to talk moonbyul's rap. Rapping is really hard to fit in this kind of music but I like how rapping is such a transition to each parts of the song. It increases pressure of the song and really leads to the peak of the emotion by other members. And for the only one Moonbyul, she did really surprisingly well in this song, everything in her can fit in this song !! OMG, her voice, I'm dying

2:28 every time they sing this song Wheein and Hwasa do this, turning to each other (not just to get the timing of the harmonizing) but also pointing to each other singing the words not to us but to each other and meaning it.

Hwasa is an expert emotional singer. Even the way she looks while singing is the mark of an expert singer on stage. She manages to choke me up listening to her sorrow (cry) vibrato which further emphasizes the effect. How would this not affect anyone that hears it? Then the perfect compliment at 2:11 when the backup singer in the background smiles after that tremendous harmony passage. Normally, the backup singers fill in the difficult harmony parts because most groups cannot do it live. In this case, the singers in the main group handle it so well that the background singers are impressed.(as they are not singing during that part at all) I normally do not react emotionally to powerful singing but in this case I must acknowledge the fact that Mamamoo has some of the most powerful singers that have ever existed. Then watch at end where the last harmony comes in. Again, the backup singers are watching while they sing this too all on their own with perfect emotional harmony.

nimoo For me I don't like most girl groups because most always have cutesy cutesy, chase the boy concepts and songwise 😅 the only cutesy and chase the boy groups that r acceptable for me r AOA (jimin in my profile pic', EXID, MAMAMOO doesnt rly have the cutesy cutesy concept but has a few songs abt boys and such, and SISTAR. Idfc sistar is cutesy and boy concept but you can not NOT stan amazing girls like them. In total the only girl groups I will stan are MAMAMOO, AOA, EXID, SISTAR, 2NE1, and ofc BLACKPINK becuz BP are just badass 😂😂👏🏽. Ik i say I dont like cutesy cutesy concepts but these r gud exceptions, except 2NE1 arent cutesy cutesy. That's why I like boy groups better than girl groups BUT the ults for me are BIGBANG for boy group and MAMAMOO for girl group. All in all I have 24 groups I stan :/ both girl and boy combined, so basically if I was to have a longass 24 fandom names squished together it would be pretty hectic 😅
looking at the audience's reactions, i know we feel the same way. listening to this performance is boarding an emotional roller coaster ride blindfolded, driven by the 4 of them. the arrangement of their parts in this song was complex and multi-layered, and creates suspense for me. every time they harmonise, the roller coaster rushes downslope and fills me with a thrill, but then immediately their voices blend and morph into another beautiful sound and im still feeling the thrill of the previous part but then they launch me into yet another drop downslope. THEY REALLY, REALLY SANG A MASTERPIECE. my breath is controlled by their voices
This is a perfect description of the whole masterpiece performance.
This song showcases how talented they really are in blending voices and taking on pitch. One part, you'll hear Wheein in lower voice as Hwasa did the upper then the next, Wheein's in upper and Solar in lower. Then suddenly Solar will belt out those high notes as Byul drown us with her lyrics. This is really overwhelming to watch I feel like crying. Their talent is something else!
I hope i'm not the only one who thought that would die because of the many chills that got bc of Solar's high notes, moonbyul's insane rap and Hwasa adlib

At first I felt so bad because Moonbyul gets fewer lines. But as I watch every Mamamoo's performance, Moonbyul's rap is so important. It adds that 'special spice' to their performance. She is the only one who can make and do a rap even though the song is ballad. All four of them stand out because they each have different vocal techniques and personality whenever they are on stage. I just love all four of them.
The song speaks for itself but I love how Moonbyul's rap adds little details to the story, like in "Delilah" & "Backwoods". All those harmonies especially by Wheesa at 2:49 & Solar's high notes are definitely a few of my favs in this performance.
