    The Fuel Boost pump, is a on/off toggle, so have to push it again to turn off. Same for the starter. So it’s select Left, boost pump on, starter on then off and then press to turn boost pump off. THEN select the right engine and repeat. And that sound will stop. Think irl it’s a push and hold button. Hence the safe guard

      Nice! I was just going to post the exact same thing. Once you learn they are both on/off switches, it all works perfectly.

      I find that it doesn't always go off. Also, I can start the engines without it. It's sure loud.

      Yea reset for each engine start wish carrnado would put a bit more system function in this plane if only flying iron made it

    Don't switch on the landing lights because this effects the auto pilot, it's obviously a bug. I struggled for ages until I was told this.

      Same for me too. I heard about that in a reddit comment, and tried it out and sure enough as soon as I turned on the lights, all AP functions stopped working.

      I can't wait to get home and try this, I've been searching for a solution for ages. And I always turn the landing lights on beforehand so this makes sense.

      Thank you SO much! I had given up on it as I was hand flying this metal beast for hours at a time.
      Can't wait to give the AP another try.
      Is it all lights that affect it?
      Or just the landing lights?

    The troubles you're having with the AP are bizarre and not at all the behavior I have experienced. The roll knob and HDG bug knob work as expected, they don't make the plane turn the opposite way first. And when I select NAV mode, it grabs either the GPS magenta or the VLOC as expected,with just a little overshoot. It also can fly an ILS approach just fine.

      The official forums are full of people complaining about the autopilot being completely FUBAR. Its just super bugged.

    • @MojaveHigh
      @MojaveHigh Před 2 lety

      @@Andrei5656 I must have gotten the one bug free AP in my plane then. Seriously though, yes it's quirky, but I have figured it out such that it does what I want when I want.

      I've gotten ILS working too, but has anybody gotten LOC REV to work on an ILS backcourse? I've tried to get 109.5 to work on RW 15 of KBGR and no glidescope lock, and it actually starts veering me off course. RW 33 seems to work fine on the same frequency but on LOC NORM.

    Jesus Christ I don't think I've seen a single straight takeoff or landing out of this thing, myself included. Is the real Twin Beech this squirrelly, or is this just a Carenado thing?

  • @GumperVanLier
    @GumperVanLier Před 2 lety

    This is a fun plane to take-off, fly and land. It's very "eventful". I have no problems with the autopilot as I use a third party software to control it (GTN750 Premium - now has autopilot features). I find that you can use the coupler (autopilot knob to the right) and just leave it on HDG mode and click GPS on in the Garmin. It follows the flight plan just fine. On ILS approach I switch it to LOC NORM or do it with my GTN750. I"ve made RNAV landings too. I'm not a pilot in the real world and I'm not sure what the two RED Knobs are on top of the flight panel. it say feathering and can switch back to governor control. Don't know what that is.

      @kokoeteantigha389 Před rokem

      In the event of an engine fire or damage, you feather with any of the knobs.

    This video is 10 months old I bought this plane. I have a lot of trouble getting a stable trim, it seems almost impossible. Also, the autopilot pitch does not work great. So this makes long fights very intensive. I see that other people talk about this too. So it is a pity that after 10 months it is still not fixed. I try to bring it to the attention of MS but my question was put to solved the moment it came in and put in the community forum. I hope they will fix this soon because it is a great airplane for the rest.

    • @ucdbnxt7318

      To trim, use the PITCH wheel and then really, ALT HOLD. Works fine here. Flew for almost an hour last night... I always trim up some before takeoff...

    I got this and even had a flight this morning. Sadly, I'm still unable to manage the Autopilot. The pitch hold just doesn't work not even when it is tweaked in the direction intended. I got pissed and logged out. I'm aware of the landing light affecting AP so I didn't have the landing lights on at the time.
