I wanted something stiff and waterproof to put in my window boxes for Christmas and winter. I think acrylic is the answer. Thank you! Now I just need to figure out if I'll cut out snow men, or Christmas trees or words, or maybe ornaments to hang from a tree made from some sticks from a tree.

Hi, I have a dx125 I used a 3mm and it didn’t cut all the way then it started to echo cut. I then got 1mm and it did the same thing. Then broke when

I recommend using shrink plastic instead. The scan n cut cuts shrink plastic like a dream. I suggest using genuine Shrinky Dinks because they shrink uniformly
I put down my color sheet on my acrylic before I cut. No matching up. I also use my junk mats with double sticky anti cat scratch tape for a firm hold. I also engrave on metal and emboss on leather this same way.

Why does my scan and cut stop after 1 pass on the acrylic? I have the same machine as yours. It will not keep going. I’m using 2 mm acrylic. What am I doing wrong? I used a deep cut blade.

Is the film up when you cut, or on the mat. I couldn’t figure out which way you put it down.
Film on top - she said she didn't want the film sticking to the mat so she took the underside off 😊 hope this helps..
Hi Courtney! I just bought a Brother scan n cut sdx85. I'm attempting to cut 2mm acrylic with it. 1st pass is fine but the second pass doesn't line up with the first and then it stops. Then a message "material is too thick". Everything is auto and I've raised the lever on the side.
Did I buy the wrong machine? Any tips or info would be highly appreciated.
How did you determine the proper settings for acrylic , like pressure ? I always test cut for vinyl…. Love to make keychains 14:22 for little ones.

It automatically puts a box, a cut line, around your design. That way you don't have to pull off and throw away so much vinyl, nor waste it. It also makes it easier to weed because there's less force needed pulling away the vinyl.

Maybe it works but, Its like take a bettle and make it work like a pick up, it will crash and you will ask yourself: What did I do wrong 🤔?... Is it patriarchy?... 😂😂😂
