As an Aussie, I really enjoyed the performances of Daniel and Mona. The Aussies & Americans have long feasted at the table of swimming medals without other countries actually turning up. Look what happens when a country turns up with hard working and talented athletes.
What an achievement for this young man. The future is so bright for Irish athletes, they've done their country proud. Hopefully they can all get a well deserved rest now 😃

Have to disagree if you watched any of the interviews Rhyz always mentioned he was looking forward to supporting team Ireland following his great victory for his country.

A bit disrespectful towards his triathlon compatriots "a bit better swimmers" well, only 2 plus minutes, would love to see Wiffen try a triathlon, I doubt he would get halfway through the bike before he'd get reeled in. Shelia Taomaria, Andy Potts, Richard Varga were all Olympic swimmers turned pro triathletes, guess what Daniel none of them became WC or World Cup winners, a bit of humility pal.
