The gold leaf added that extra GLAM! These are gorgeous. So so excited that I found your channel. Good luck with your future endeavors! Bien hermoso tu bebe đ Please do a video showing how to make more pastries ! Maybe a collabsible chocolate heart!? đ
I had bought these gold leaves quite some time ago for another dessert I had in mind, never used it at all. Now you've gave me an idea to use it on cakesicles. I'll be making these for my friends baby shower. There very easy to make and doesn't take up too much effort and time for it to come together
Where did you buy them?
Beautifully explained đđđ
Gorgeous!!!! you and your cuttie too!!!
Thank you đ
Perfect đ
Awesome Technique
You made this look so easy đ lots of great tips and Iâm so happy you cut into it to see how it looks from the inside - very helpful. Could u make a video of your whipped frosting
I recommend using a cooking tweezer for the gold leafs!
Thank you for this helpful cakesicle video love! they seem easy but sort of hard at the same time haha but you broke things down and inform some facts I didn't even know! â€ïžâ€ïž
Thank you so much for your comment, it means a lot that it is helpful for some đ
This is amazing! đ„° For the store bought cake box, how much do you use and how many can you make? Thanks!
Hi! These look amazingđ Could you post the link for the bigger mold?
Pls make a video on how u do ur frosting!!! Itâs so hard for me to dođ€Šđ»ââïž
my first try was HORRIBLE, im going to try to do it now that you gave me a lot of good adviceđ„ș
Iâm glad this video was helpful â„ïž
Girl I wish I watched this video before I made an attempt đ€Šđ»ââïž cuz when you explained bout the getting the edges of the mold thick enough it would of saved my life đđđ
Lol trial and error girl! Thatâs how I learned to reinforce my edges because mine would break đ€Šđ»ââïž
Love this video!! How much do you charge for your cakesicles?
If I were to buy these I would buy them for $25! Or mor
Love your videos. You seem so sweet! â€ïž
I just found your channel and think you are doing a great job. You make it look pretty easy. I'm horrible with chocolate, I make a mess, can't seem to keep the chocolate melty for the whole project, horrible at getting chocolate in a piping bag, etc. I still try and come out with nice results but it is always such a project for me. I don't do these things often which is probably why I make such a mess and have a hard time. Two things I've learned.
I don't like using the wilton chocolate because what I mention above. I usually use a higher quality chocolate which helps but it is still a pain for me. Next I use the Wilton Candy Melt-n-Decorate bottle. You might alread know about it. I can melt the chocolate easier. If I feel that the chocolate is in danger of hardening I can throw it back in the microwave. I can pipe out the chocolate easy and it comes with 2 tips but I believe you can use other Wilton tips. The only draw back is that if you have more than one color that you need to melt it is easier to have a bottle for each color because the bottle has to be completely dry when you melt the chocolate. Thought I'd throw that out to you in the case it would be helpful. đ
I'll be tuning in for more videos. BTW, your little boy is so stinking cute!
Edited: I forgot to mention that I'm not a fan of the Edible Gold Leaf. It looks like someone tries to pull the cakesicle off of some gold paper and some paper stuck to it. I can see it being used to look like a gold nugget though. Just my 2 cents as you had asked to comment on thoughts for that.
Thank you so much for tour tips and sweet comment â„ïž
Even if my chocolate hardens in my bowl I just pop it in the microwave. It neverrrrrrr stays melted while I finish my project. I pop it back in the microwave AT LEAST 4 times. Lol but thatâs okay! Iâd say to just keep practicing whenever you have some free time (and patience) and itâll keep getting easier for you! đ
Very nice
Hello girly love your work! What chocolate did you use for this order?
Thank you â„ïž I mainly used Puratos Carat white chocolate with a tiny bit of Wilton pink candy melts to give it the slightly pink color âșïž
Hi is it just whipped cream mixed with cake crumbs or some flavour added?
Do you have to wet the brush before using the gold leaf or the brush is dry?
Hi, did you wipe the mould with alcohol first to make them nice and shiny?
How far ahead can I make these for an event ? What is the time frame on storing them ?
Great video sis! Gorgeous cakesicles! Iâm not big on gold leaf I donât see the hype so I donât use it much. Have you tried the tube circle (yeah I have no idea what itâs calledđ€Ł) mold to make cakesicles? They are cute also.
Iâm pretty sure I know exactly which ones youâre talking about! Lol it no I havenât... YET đ
Sweet Sunflowers canât wait to see what you come up with when you try it.
How long do you leave them.in the freezer for? When putting the first chocolate
How long do the cakesickles last for? Thanks for the video
Congratulations to you
I do the same steps as you where you say to reenforce the sides after freezing them the first time. But for some reason the first layer on the sides breaks off, showing the second layer. Does that makes sense? Iâm not sure what is causing them to break, they donât look bad or show the cake, but I donât like the look of it. Do you have any tips on how to fix this? Thank you! Loved your lesson đđ
I remember that did happen to me once when I first started! Maybe when you put your first layer on the sides it might not be thick enough and thatâs why even after your second layer it breaks off because itâs thin? Just a guess đ€ lol
How did you get your chocolate in such a thin consistency to drizzle it?
What kind of melting chocolate do you use?
I loved the video!! Very helpful. How much do you sell these for?
Thank you â„ïž I sell my mini cakesicles for $3 each with a minimum of 6
This might be a weird question, but can you mix any colour at your chocolate? If not, what is the other option?
Yes you can!
What color pink was that ? Or what kind of chocolate thanks â€
what chocolate do you use? yours looks super creamy and smooth!
I use ASM (Semper) White Chocolate Ganache! Thatâs why itâs also so creamy because itâs ganache and not just pure chocolate âșïž
For cake pops if people only want 1-2 of them would you still make it?? Because I know youâd end up with extra cake.. or is there a minimum amount that they have to buy in order for you to make them?
There has to be a minimum of a dozen!
@@SweetSunflowers ooo okay haha thank you!! Bc I would see some ppl sell 1-2 cake pops like đł do yâall eat the rest bc đ„Žđ€Ł (me not having a big sweet toothđ)
Can you make a candy apple video
How do you store them for a next day occasion? Refrigerate or leave them out. Thank you
I would leave them out as long as their boxed up or stored in a container with lid!
How long do you put it in the freezer for after the first layer of chocolate x
Iâd say for about 5 mins! Just enough for the chocolate to harden
How do you keep your sticks from moving as you unmold them? I have the same mold and when I filled the cup, I stuffed the cake in and then inserted my stick. Then pressed down again to make sure it was tight and compact. When I unmolded the cakesicles, the sticks just slid out. I was thinking of coating them with chocolate when inserted, just like you do with cake pops, but I've yet to see one tutorial doing that, so I left it. Help?
I reinforce them with chocolate chocolate after I take the mold out of the freezer! Because the chocolate is cold from the freezer when I reinforce with chĂllate it sets super quick so the chocolate stays put. If you do this and itâs still sliding off it may be that you put too much frosting in your cake pop mixture and has made it become greasy thus making it slide off the stick.
What chocolate did u use? How do u melt is so perfectly?
Ghiradelli chocolate is really good!!
Are your cake and whipped cream homemade or store bought?
The cake I made with a store bought box đ€Ș lol but the whipped cream is homemade âșïž
Hi there! I want to know how much do you charge for the bigger cakesicles. I guess the regular ones! I think 3 each for the mini ones is a fair price but I donât know what would be fair for the regular sized cakesicles. đ€ and do the customers pay you in advance or the day they receive their order?
I do $4.50 for the bigger ones because they are significantly bigger and use up a lot more cake mix and chocolate! I do a deposit of half their total at least 2 weeks before and the other half is due when they pick up their order!
Thank you for being so honest with your viewers! We really appreciate it! Oh yeah another question, where do you buy your white chocolate? I tried looking for putatos carat but I couldnât find it.
How long do you freeze your cakesicles?
Anywhere from 3-5 minutes! Just as long to make the chocolate solid
I wish I had seen this video before. My edges were too thin and I over filled it so the I could see the cake and my edges broke.đ€Šđœââïž well now I know
In white chocolate you put gel colours or liquid colours
You have to use specific candy color! They have to be oil based and gel or icing colors are not oil based and will break your chocolate
Hi dearđđ
How do you melt your chocolate, mines wouldnât stick to the mold
In the microwave! Mine used to not stick to the mold either and I realized the chocolate was still too warm and not tacky enough and thatâs why it would just slide right off the edges. You can see in the video that once my chocolate was tacky Iâd get a popsicle stick (or a spoon, or anything of yours choice) and id bring the chocolate up the sides!
How much do you charge for the mini cakesicles?
$3 each with a minimum of 6 âșïž
How far in advance can you make these?
Id say you can make them a week in advance if youâd like, personally depending on how many orders I have I like to do the day before or same day âșïž
Omg!! I canât get it to work for me. Am so frustrated. They keep breaking on me, or chocolate set up to quickly on the back and look ugly!
Donât give up and keep trying đ practice practice practice!!
Me personally, I don't like the gold leaf. I don't care for how it looks. I prefer drizzles and sprinkles and cute stuff like that. But that's just me
Oh my goodness I love your baby I would me munching on his cheeks lol
How much do you sell this for?
She said 3 dollars for one with minimum 6 per order
