- Induction and Development Lead at cancer charity Maggie’s, Andrew Anderson OBE said on Friday (April 26) that the announcement of the return of Britain's King Charles to public duties gives hope to people with a cancer diagnosis.
Buckingham Palace said on Friday that the monarch will return to public duties next week for the first time since being diagnosed with cancer as he makes good progress following treatment and a period of recuperation.
In February, the palace revealed that the 75-year-old king had been diagnosed with an unspecified form of cancer detected in tests after a corrective procedure for an enlarged prostate.

Wonderful news but I bet he’s not having treatment on the NHS. I hope that tens of thousands of people who are at the bottom of the waiting lists can take comfort from this.
While President of the US has the most expenssive and private health care, most of the Americans can't afford insurance and if they can most of the time the treatment will force people into bankruptcy.
I had a wonderful experience whilst receiving my cancer treatment in Royal Berkshire Hospital in Reading and Health Space in Bracknell. Forever grateful to all wonderful NHS nurses, doctors, my oncologist and a surgeon ❤🙏🏻💕

We wish him a speedy recovery. It's quite obvious he was unfit to be King without his health issues but now he should make way for young prince George to take over. The bad seed of a unfit father & a mother with mental health issues has shown William as weak and unfit as his parents. Luckily enough our new beautiful Princess of Wales has given monarchy wonderful children.

Charles can come out and fill public duties after surgery and Chemo at his age but Katherine and William are still camera shy after 5 months. They try to make us believe Katherine edited a Mothers Day photo, went on school runs with her mommy, went to a farmers market with William, took a birthday pic of Louis last weekend that was 2 years old? She is also well on her way to recovery while also having many set backs to her health? Kennsington needs to come clean and let us see Katherine. Their words hold no meaning at this point.
