It's so brilliant. Because I thought that the game would just simply send Robin back in time and repeat the events. But no, in the end it brilliantly ends showing how your brave sacrifice doesn't go unheard

Obviously when i got to the ending and saw this cutscene everything was so bright in my head and i felt weird for its ending. Absolutely my favorite game of all time
I saw Matthew Mercer (voice of Chrom) at a panel at Colossalcon earlier this month. He talked about how they initially had trouble figuring out what to put for the final line of the game, since the animation on the lips was so detailed compared to the rest of the lip-flapping in the game that their initial translation and other equivalents just didn't work. So while they were struggling with it, Matthew was struck with inspiration, said "I've got this" and goes into the booth to record. The rest of the staff is waiting patiently. And then he drops the line, "I can see... your butthole." and destroyed his co-workers. I cannot unsee it in the lip flaps. But yeah true production story, straight from Chrom himself.
Okay, you cannot convince me that Chrom and Lissa were not standing there waiting for Robin to wake up, snickering about how they were gonna prank him so good by reenacting their meeting, but they also made sure he/she knew that everything was okay.
Except for one major detal: :"Welcome back. It's over now." It's all what Chrom said to the avatar after this hero destroyed Grima, thus it's the end of the main story.
I did cry at this end. for a second when it started, I went "goddammit, we're in a loop." then I saw the Mark of Grins had vanished and Chrom said "welcome back. it's over now" many years were shed
"Welcome back, it's over now." I was crying when this scene came, because the simplicity of it was heart-wrenching yet so perfect. For a second, I thought I'd been transported into the past again, but when I saw Robin's hand, I knew that wasn't the case. I was so happy to find out he'd returned and he could be with his loved ones again
This scene literally made Fire Emblem Awakening what it is - omg I was shriveling up inside with complete and utter happiness and sadness all mixed up into one enormous feeling of awe!!! Oh! It makes my heart hurt just seeing this scene! It hit me hard because I had not even been expecting anything like this after all the credits!! ;_;
It was 4 in the night and I was ultra hyped in my room, playing the last fight. Had a Chrom romance in my first PT, so it was extra emotional, decided to sacrifice myself so nobody ever would have to fight Grima again. and in order to atone for both our sins. I was a puddle of feelings on the ground afterwards ^^ Then ran through my room, internally screaming and praying for a miracle. The character endings passed. The "The End" passed. And then... this. Wham. And no mark. I admit: I cried. A lot!
So I finished the game while waiting in line for Peter Pan in Disneyland and wow I never thought I would be destroyed by this cutscene. Cried during the ride :')

I remember crying my eyes out when the final decision came up and trying my hardest to keep away the tears during the credit scroll, only to break out in tears of joy during the final cutscene. I was so happy my character could have a happy ending where they were able to give the ultimate sacrifice and still be around to love her friends and family. I became too attached to this game.
Honestly this cutscene made me so freaking happy, i thought that everything was a loop, but the final lines just are everything to me, after all the battles and troubles in this journey, we can finally be with our friends again :)

I played the demo of this game ever since it was released but only got it this month. After the whole game, I was desperately hoping there would be closure, and then I saw this. It's the first time I've been so elated by a video game ending in years.
It's been years, but my brother gave me a copy of Fire Emblem Warriors and boy it got me ridiculously nostalgic, the remake of this scene and the theme... This scene, I like both versions but this makes me sob harder than a college student on a finals night. I hold it so dearly to my heart you really don't, and probably will never understand. I am literally sobbing as I'm writing. I think I'll replay FE:A as soon as I'm done with FE3H.
I sometimes replay the last battle just so I can see this magnificent scene again. I really wish they would’ve put this scene in the theatre with the extras in the game, but I guess it adds something a little extra to the feels with you work for this ending.. especially if you choose to pair the avatar with chrom ( like I did most of the time lol). It’s so bittersweet and I love it.
Awakening is my first FE game and I just finished it tonight. It got me shedding a few tears sacrificing MU and leaving the Shepherds behind. And then this cutscene played, I thought 'Aw is this gonna be like FFXV?' And then Chrom says those 5 words. Got me crying my eyes out. Took me almost half an hour before I could calm down and write this comment lol.
Shit this made me have the feels. At first I thought he my avatar was sent back through time because of his sacrifice, but then the game said sike bro your back!
I cried excited for this part because in the game I had Robin marry Chrom so to see her come back to her beloved husband and sister in law and free from her father’s power and control she can be with her husband and baby girl and have her future son Morgan made me so happy.
I just got this one about an hour ago. Odd thing though, it doesn't show up in the Theater option. Is this one only accessible by beating the game, or is there something I overlooked?

It's Chrom and Lissa finding you after the war is over and the mark on your hand at the beginning is gone to show that the future had been changed for the better and the evil is now gone.
well the Avatar sacrificed himself to kill Grima once and for all, at the cost of their life. Everybody in the army believes they'll be back and will search for them, and this cutscene shows that they actually survived. happy ending yay
