People always underestimated Larry b/c he wasn’t an elite athlete. They still do. He didn’t just read and react. He anticipated and got to the play first.

They say he's not an athlete? In his MVP years, he was about the fastest and quickest Forward in the league. During the early 80's, everyone on the court looked like they were in slow motion next to Bird. He did not jump, but neither did Magic and Kareem.

Bird was a better shooter, better passer, better rebounder, and better post defender than Jordan. Jordan was only better at dunking and perimeter defense.
Kareem was a better overall scorer (efficiency and volume combined), better rebounder, and better overall defender, than Jordan. Jordan was only a better ft and long range shooter while still having no shot as effective the sky hook, and stealer.
Bill Russell was a better rebounder, and much better overall defender than Jordan. Jordan was only a better shooter and it's arguable who was the better passer. Russell could dunk and layup just as effectively if not more so when he actually went for that.
Dr J was just as good at dunking and layups, better rebounder, better overall defender, and no worse a passer. Jordan was only better at shooting.
