Salah missed an open goal in first leg which means 1 goal for liverpool while from barca vidal and dembele missed the goal vidal freking fell and tried to pass suarez which is dumb and dembele missed even easier chance than salah. That makes 5-1 first leg also the penalty was not given but we will not count that in the second leg barca created 4 chances out of which 3 were by messi. First one jordi alba should have scored bu he passed to messi who was outside the box and vandj intercepted second one ok lets say that was hard to score so we aint counting them but the third and fourt should have been scored by suarez but hr Didnt which makes 4-2 second leg and 7-2 total legs. Messi's Barca eliminations are typically like this (or Argentina's too), he can play amazing and people will still say he "disappeared" because they're casuals that think this is FIFA on PS4 and basically only goals scored by a player are relevant. If any of Messi's teammates from Dembelé in the first leg to Alba or Suárez in the 2nd leg had finished the clear chances Messi created for them like champion teams do (Ramos in 2014, for example, or Suárez himself for Barca back in 2015) then Barca would've gone through.
Gladly he finally had a team in Argentina where his teammates followed suit and he won an international trophy, so now let's see if the PSG super team actually meshes well, because he might have a big chance at one or two UCLs now more than any of the past 5 seasons with underwhelming teammate performances at Barca.

They usually win games through individual brilliance of Neymar, di Maria or Mbappe. I do agree that Robbo shouldn’t have shoved Messi in the 2nd leg but let’s not act like Messi is innocent either. He punched/hit Fabinho in the head in the first game. He’s done that move many times in his career and always got away with it until the other day when he was given a red card.
Rakitic did a horrible tackle on Naby in the first game and he had a groin injury as a result of that and couldn’t play for several games afterwards.
Suarez deliberately kicked out at Robbo in 2nd leg and couldn’t continue to play the second half of the game.
Matip and Fabinho didn’t inflict any injuries on anyone whereby they couldn’t continue to play. Not trying to justify the fouls they made but merely putting things into perspective. At the end of the first game... even though Liverpool lost, they went out of their way to shake hands with the Barca players. They where gracious in defeat. Can’t say the same in the second leg when Barcelona lost.
