Hello Adam that picture on the book is Bertrand Russell. He was a famous 20th Century British Atheist, mathematician, and philosopher.😃👍👍♥️
🕸🙇♀️”..Amazing!”
Yes! Thanks, I was struggling to remember his name, as well, but knew that face & picture!! ❤
The thing you thought of as a nighty I believe is actually a slip for under clothing. Doesn’t matter to me whether you do paranormal or your normal explores, I love to see them all. What we see with these explores let’s us as Americans see what is wonderful in many ways in your country. Thank you ❤
Yes I agree as I will never get to visit his country or any other country for that matter.
I agree
Yes I agree it's a slip maybe under her Sunday dress for church but it's not a nightgown 😊
They're called Petticoats.
My Mums family was from England, I ended up living with my Mimi an my Great Grandmother in my teens. Years later, I got engeged to an English fella even went to meet his family for 3 weeks (amazing place England)but, never married. I also love Adams videos, great work, mate.❤✌️
I get it, the desire to steal a treasure but why must these "treasure hunters" destroy and ransack everything in the process instead of showing the respect as you do, Adam. It is sad to see the plants dead and dried up that were once taken care of with love.
I've always wanted to know why they have to just trash a place, break windows, knock he's in the wall, and dump stuff all over the bed the floor and everywhere. Just because a ace is abandoned and has not been lived in for a long time does not mean one has to tear heck out of it. 😢
This explore really brought home the feeling of a warm home with her sitting in her chair with her slippers on and surrounded by her healthy plants. Slowly she walks away not to return to her chair and the plants wither and die. The cobwebs are built and the house breaks down. It’s so beautiful to see the arc of life in these explores with you Adam!
The shells are Pua shells. They make jewellery with it, usually set in silver. I have several pieces myself. Also called Abalone.
They were often used as ashtrays
And you must be a 🥝🇳🇿
I have one too lovely.
Can’t say it enough. It’s so sad to see the beautiful furniture and trinkets let to rot. So sad. Love your explorations. 😊
Her little slippers left there. Bless her so sad ❤
Child, Grandchild…..nobody to come get things. 😢
No judgement in that. You never know another’s story. Their circumstances may not allow them to make the trip. Perhaps they did & got what they wanted.
It could be anything. We certainly don’t know. Obviously they cared enough to send cards, etc. Looks like many years have passed.
Thanks, Adam. Great explore.❤✌🏼💜
But whoever dealt with the funeral would have attended they should have gathered the personal effects this is wjat I don't understand
This is a great video. This house was once a happy cosy home to a much loved couple
Hi Adam - the painting at the beginning is called The Boyhood of Raleigh ...Hardwick Hall is in Derbyshire ❤️
I recognised it as my Dad's aunties had a print in their house in the 50s.
Absolutely love your sensitivity and respect as you do your explores, great job.👍🏻
The slippers next to the chair, feels so sad. Lovely house Adam.
Please remember to click the thumbs up, it helps Adam😊
Adam!! Are you planing to go back to this one mate? She's still there, But she's waiting for him and he doesn't come, it's quite sad 😢 she's so lonely x
Those were abalone shells or known as Paua ( pronounced, pa-wa) in NZ. When polished up they make beautiful jewellery or stand alone shells. Another great vid, thanks Adam
What a sad, sad place. Someone must have loved these people, yet their belongings have been left to rot in a vacant house. Thank you for showing such consideration and respect to their memories and possessions.
"Set the mood" you make me howl 🤣🤣
All of the above is a fascinating and beautiful exploration. Greetings to you 👌😍👍🫴☯️
Up there in quality, atmosphere and fascinating finds, Adam! The two odd things hanging in the cupboard were folded hangers. They unfold each side to create a normal clothes hanger. What was moving about this explore was all those cards - so lovely to see how much the occupants were loved. After all that’s all that matters, right? Already looking forward to next week’s explore! 👍👍👍❤️❤️
Dear Adam. Really enjoyed this little time capsule. I appreciate the care and respect you take when exploring these lost and forgotten homes. Looking forward to more like this and of course your paranormal stuff. Warmest wishes. Pam
I bet this was a loved sweet little old church lady that lived there..Love your explorers Adam.
I love your videos and it's really sad that the homes that are abandoned are just left to nobody it's heartbreaking especially like this one
I still use my old 1960s butter dish. Tub butter isn't butter lol it's mostly water and shortening that our bodies don't need. But then home churned butter many say yuck to lol
I love home churned butter.
I don't use tub butter either and have a few old Pyrex butter dishes that I use. Charity shops often have them available
Lovely explore Adam and you are so respectful . This house seems very basic with no bathroom! 😮. Loved it though , especially the wallpaper ! I Remember wallpaper like that . The overalls , she might have been a dinner lady , but in days gone by the women often wore these overalls to do their house work in to keep their clothes clean . Having said that I can also remember , shop assistants , hairdressers, cleaners ….. etc wearing them too. The ‘nightie’ is an under-slip these was worn by the ladies under their dresses. Half slips were used if the lady had a skirt on . The things in the wardrobe are actually clothes hangers that folded up when not in use !
It's great to see you doing what you have always done best Adam, good old-fashioned explores, I really enjoyed this one! Cheers! ☺✌
It's shocking how the house has been abandoned from the late 90s and still got all the furniture and belongings sat there untouched why has the family not done anything about it just think about the people next door as it's got to be a mess and over grown garden but good explore again Adam
The small painting is The Boyhood of Raleigh, painted in Budleigh Salterton, Devon. Great exploration, as always 👏 👌
What a sad house full of so many memories. All let to rot. We are born with nothing, and we leave with nothing. The only things we keep are our good and bad memories. Hopefully more good then bad ❤
I find it strange that people are living next door to a home in such condition without trying to clean it up. Other than that it's a great place thanks Adam
Agreed!, the hole in the ceiling and all the rotting wood would be causing issues next door to it...weird how it's not been tended to, being a terrace.
Not very fung schway, your humor is so spot on. ❤
I'm always amazed how these homes are left abandoned for years in America the banks or city or county take them over and set them up for auction sales and then folks in the real estate business usually buy them up and rehab them and back on the market they go. It doesn't seem to work that way in the UK. I'd love to understand what the laws are for the UK when it comes to homes and property. But as always love your videos so interesting wish I could see your country also it's a dream of mine to travel to the UK but alas I'm too poor to leave my patch of dirt in California
I know all too well that situation. I would love to be able to do what Adam does but my physical health and finances is my problem. But at least we can see some really great places with Adam. ❤😊
Adam please do paranormal investigations again thanks but I'm excited to see this tho
Nice little house Adam. I didn't notice the lack of a bathroom until you said something. I can't imagine raising a family in this time without one. 😲 I can't imagine a house in the fifties with w/o one! I can't. I was a child of the fifties and everyone I knew had a full bathroom. Even the kids that lived in the country. Can you tell this is freaking me out! 😂😂😂😂 Have a great week. Stay safe and I'll see you next week. Looking forward to your trip with Dale! 🙏💗
I was born in the 50s and lived in a house without a bath or running water until I was 13. We had a pump in the yard and an outhouse.
Maybe no bathroom is why no one wanted to bother with that house after she died 😊
My gran raised 13 children in one of these 2 up 2 down houses built 1865 with a toilet in the yard . Water didnt arrive till 1957 and even then just cold water .I took the house on after she died in 1985 didnt get a proper bathroom until 1998. Did have an electric shower fitted in the bedroom though 😉
My grandparents in Kentucky didn't have bathroom either , outhouse in the back . Plumbing came 1960s 70s ..... country folk
I was born July 1958 we lived in a tenement. The toilet was down a stair and a half. Only gas lighting.
I love these videos, I love old places and history and the mysteries of the past
Looking forward to watching this video. When the next haunting one ? Love all your videos 🙂
I love that little house, thank you Adam..as always brilliant
Cool I enjoy these.
❤❤Great Explore, this One. Loved the Old white Fireplace!!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
The soap dish was actually a face powder dish. The house needs a total makeover by builders. It makes me wonder if it affects the neighbours. It can’t be good for them !
I was thinking the same thing. It's kind of like a duplex as we call them here in the states. You would think the neighbors would clean it out to keep people from going in and rummaging around.
I don't think it's a nightdress, Adam. I think it's an underskirt.
When I was a kid, my mom called it a slip. You wore a slip under your dress.🙂
Yes, you're right, also known as a slip. :-)
Yes a slip worn under your dress or skirt and blouse. You have to love his sentimental description. 😊
Yes, a slip as sometimes you could see right through your dress or skirt.
You looked so big in that house Adam lol I could just imagine a humble loving couple living in there all cosy and simplistic as always thank you Adam love your explodes
31 minutes late because I forgot to press notify me .
Going to enjoy this one Adam 😁
One of my favourite channels to watch, can't believe I've only found you recently but love both the exploring videos and the paranormal ones, very sincere and respectful to the properties you go to 🙂

Another fabulous explore Adam. That skelton of the creature was very creepy. Great work as always. Look forward to this all week long. So good.
You do some beautiful, massive houses So to see a simple terrace was nice. The huge spiders really wouldn't have bothered me but as soon as I'd seen "the bugs" that looked like roaches, I would have been outta there faster than a bat outta he'll! 😮😮😮😮
Another great video Adam love these time capsules
I like your videos bc you respect the people who lived there awesome job adam
Classic love Adam and mark some of the old buildings they explore
Omg iam so excited to watch another adventure I worked the graveyard shift when there isn't much to do I binge on your videos you are awesome 🌟 😊👏👏👏👏👏♡♡

Looks intriguing
I look forward to these posts would love to see you passing on spirits to the afterlife . I think you have the perception to be ordained
Lovely. I'm sure whoever lived there was a charm
Particularly enjoyed this explore. Those strange things hanging in the wardrobe were folding coat hangers ... my parents used to have some exactly the same!
Got my notification on ..see you on Sunday 😊 xx

I would love to explore a house like you do its amazing what vibes you can get from an old building!!
This was a cool explore thanks for sharing much love to you ❤😊
Hi Adam the fireplace from downstairs would flue in a different direction up to the chimney. Though it would warm the walls. Enjoying your urbex.
That makes sense ...thanks
Those were folding clothes hangers for traveling.
I didn’t realise how much I missed ur full explores til last week. Would like paranormal too but really love your old type vids when there’s so much stuff
Fantastic Explore Adam me old Mate! Best wishes from Lincolnshire. 👍🤝🙂
See you tomorrow Adam. Sounds like another fun explore. 👍😁
Thanks for taking us with you to this time capsule, I bet it was lovely once upon a time ❤
Really nice little house.Thankyou so much for showing me Adam.See you on the next one.Lovely to think you'll be working with Dale again.
The man on the book cover looked like Bertrand Russell. I love how descriptive your explores are and the care you take when handling things. Always enjoy your explores and of course when you add some paranormal investigation to it. Looking forward to your next post. Cheers.
Had you turned the book around , I think the book title/ author would have been revealed. Brace I think the authors photo was on the back cover.
That was brilliant as always! I'd love to do what you do, but no way could I handle those spiders. ❤
same!!
Another fantastic exploring, thank you Adam xxx take care ❤ waiting for next Sunday xxx
Just found this fascinating channel. I would love to explore old properties because of my interest in history & nostalgia. Adam shows so much respect its admirable.
quite a lot in that little place ,they done well to get the things up the stairs so narrow, it sad to think some one old sitting in that lot alone ,
So sad. Wonder what happened to her family. I just love your work. You are amazing
The shells were aboloney shells, the little lamp up stairs you said something like look at little lampy guys was actually a camping light you use in your tent. I wonder if the wife made the husband smoke in his designated room, that's why that room was so tar and nicotine stained ? And no other rooms were. Great explore, loved it . Stay safe. Cheers. 😊
Nice explore! That place is rotting away!
No toilet no bathroom, very strange 😮
Sunday night can’t come quick enough. Really looking forward to this video 👻👍
The fire surround in the front was Victorian or Edwardian but the back one was typical of the 1930s then an electric heater was put in later on in the late 50s 60s maybe there was bomb damage in the chimneys and roof be in a town terraced house. Great film as always Adam.
Them wallpapers are coming back in fashion mine early 1970 was orange and brown x
Very interesting house well done Adam.😛
Top Mark(s) again! 😁 props to you mate, just loving your channel! Thank you 🙏🏼 great work!
Another good one. Thank you for sharing
Lovely explore such a shame no family to pass on belongings to 😢 xx
Hi Adam Sunday soon comes around ,an I know you are on your channel yea lv Ann 🇬🇧🇬🇧❤️❤️
Glad to see you back ❤
Dear Adam, I appreciate how respectful you are of the places you visit. The shells in the wardrobe are abalone shells. My Dad would pick a few when snorkeling. Thank you for sharing your adventures. Be safe and take care.
An amazing little home, have never seen slippers left in front of a chair like that before, it's like she could still be sat there and you can see legs/feet in them, very Erie!!.
Love how you still have the up most respect for the owners things ie the little candle holder and broken dish etc.
Fantastic find again Adam, can't wait for your big trip and to see your finds.
Loving your Chanel 👌🫶👍🏻
Let's go, Adam! See you tomorrow. :)
See you Sunday
Great little house ❤
That was very derelict and rotten. Love the old houses like that. Wonder how long it will stand before collapsing Adam. Please wear gloves.xx take care❤
Hii Adam. Thank you again this old home and people's life and everything. Oh,,what sad this. But see you video again. Byee Adam.👋🍮☄☄
Fantastic time capsule ❤️❤️❤️
What I hope from all of these homes, is that the poor old dears that lived in these places prior to moving on, weren't living in complete decay! If they were it would be some kind of elder abuse. Wooden furniture lasts forever. A few beautiful pieces in there still worth saving. Thanks for taking us with you again on another trip into someones past. Always love a good wallpaper :)
I wouldn't want to own the house next door to that property 😮
Adam you mentioned people from a certain period being stuck in their ways. There's an element of truth in that. However back then people were given hand me down things not just clothes but furniture too. I believe it was due to hard times and rationing etc. You had to look after what you had. When you see furniture 50+ years old still functioning and looking decent that's quality. Many of these people in their latter years trying to cope after years paying taxes, some fighting for their country are expected to deal with life on low money (ie - pension). So it's not surprising to find old items amongst their possessions. Obviously they maybe simply holding on to precious memories through these possessions. Just saying. Another good video Adam. All the best. 👍
I was born on May 5th 1946. Interesting house!
Great as always Adam. Jo
