Omg, I'm going to spend money with another one of Simon's sponsors. Never bought from any other channel before. The first one was Simon introducing me to a brand of male hair removal tools.
Just waiting for my father-in-law to confirm my wife's time of birth and I'll order one of these maps.

Bit annoyed tbh Simon. This isn't a dig at you but the platform I watch you on. Since ordering from your sponsor which is a business that relies on surprise...... every single video I've watched since I keep getting their adverts despite placing the most expensive order they offer and now I have to keep trying to turn the volume down so my wife doesn't know this company exists yet.
Why does the Internet advertise more incessantly the products that you've already bought?

I live in southeast Arizona, near Libby Army Airfield. I am not sure why, but for the previous 2 weeks, the Thunderbirds have been using the airfield to practice their airshow. Twice a day, every day, for 2 weeks straight they would fly their routine. Sometimes as a solo, and sometimes in a formation of 2 or 4 planes, they would scream directly over my house at an altitude of about 200' and cranked over in a 2~3 G turn; it was great!!!

My cousin was a Thunderbird (number 7Jet).. Tragically was killed in a house fire when he was with the team. Got to meet a lot of the officers and enlisted at his funeral which had a flyover as well. Went to quite a bit of shows and got to see a lot of what goes on behind the scene that the general public doesn’t.. Very interesting how detailed and coordinated everything is..

The Blue Angels have video on YT (as do other teams I'm sure) showing the training and how they do the shows. Only the lead plane is watching the surroundings, the rest of the pilots watch a spot on the next plane and basically keep it in same the position on cockpit window throughout the maneuver. The lead pilot calls out the start of each maneuver and they all have to time it spot on. Talk about trusting your wingman, having nerves of steel and a steady hand.
The announcer you hear at the shows is actually one of the pilots, at least for the Blue Angels. There are more pilots than fly in each show so new ones always being trained. Pretty fascinating stuff.

Not to be overly critical, but you missed an accident. In the 70's (not sure what year anymore,) the #7 jet flamed out when landing in Cheyenne Wyoming. It had two flightcrew members onboard. One of them ejects and landed on top of the rodeo stadium and broke his leg from the fall, the other, I believe was the pilot, ejected when the fuselage was on its side and he ejected into a hotdog stand, which killed him.

I grew up in Cheyenne and remember this accident. Pilot stayed with plane to avoid campers at Frontier Park. A kid was injured on the ground. I think the crash was on take off, not landing due to the way the runways are set up, though I’m not positive.
