    This makes me so happy. Your approval of indian food makes me feel - despite the differences we are the same. We can relate over good food :)
    You would think, with the cultural differences, difference in spice tolerance, taste buds & how taste can be 'subjective' - it's a bit surprising to find common ground over this.
    Also the last part (conclusion) makes me happy. I feel even though you may have indians in UK, you must come to india to get a 'full perspective' and make sense of the weirdness that is india, and the indian people.

    The biggest mistake every first time foreign visitor makes in India is to land in New Delhi. It’s absolutely the worst place to land for your first trip and the city is not ideal for a first timer.
    I would suggest to any first timer to either fly into Bangalore or Chennai or Hyderabad. You will ease into India and those cities are much more laid back and friendly than New Delhi or Mumbai. New Delhi has scams everywhere starting at the airport.
    The worst you are going to get in Southern India is the tuk-tuk overcharging you as a foreigner which is very typical but you should know how much to pay based on where you are going. The typical foreigner price is 25 Rs per km and you find out from Google maps how far your destination is and you start from there.
    The Golden Triangle is a hectic and touristy place and everyone and their mother wants to go there. The real Indian experience is outside the Golden Triangle.
    Landing in Delhi for the first time is like landing in Luton or Stoke-on-Trent as a first time visitor ( not that both places have international airports lol).
    If you ever go back to India, fly into Bangalore or Chennai or if you are flying from SE Asia, you can fly into Kochi, Hyderabad etc.
    New Delhi is the worst place to fly in to get accustomed to India but most first time travelers make that classic mistake.

    There is a country called Nepal and it is the second country in Asia where LGBT marriage is legal. If some English speaking vlogger shows LGBT marriage in Nepal, they will get millions of views from Indians and Nepalese people supporting the couple. However, some Korean vlogger who makes vlogs in Korean or some Latin American vlogger who makes vlogs in Spanish shows this they will get less than 50k views.
    Therefore, in order to get views they will try to create negativity in Nepal. They will show child goddess in Nepal. Then they will show a disciple washing her feet with milk and drinking the milk and then the vlogger will also do that.
    Then the next video will be titled: I drank milk from the feet of a Nepalese girl, Did I get Food Poisoning? In the thumbnail he will be shown with a gloomy face. However, nothing has happened to him.
    Then in the comments section of these kind of videos there are Koreans and Latin Americans abusing South Asian people. Which is shocking because no South Asian has ever harmed them.

    About the safety of solo women travelers, a lot of them have had a safe journey and some have had a bad experience. But it depends on how dumb or smart you are, now, I'm not blaming the ladies or anything but if you are going alone to different countries regardless of your gender, it's not a smart move to go blind without any research just for the sake of 'adventure'. For example, one solo woman for some reason decided to book a cheap hotel BEHIND A RED LIGHT DISTRICT. Most can imagine how that would go.... Its quite simple. Don't stay in cheap hotels, don't be reckless for the sake of adventure, do your research, uber is available in india so no need to take unnecessary risks. Its so simple really but vloggers especially get very reckless for content.

    • @AbbyandGaz
      @AbbyandGaz  Před 5 měsíci

      I agree research and precautions are needed especially for women. Which is what I meant when I said adventurous, I meant you have experience in countries that need you to be more mindful of your decisions to stay safe.

I was referring to some influencers who go to countries on a shoestring budget, then go to slums for some reason because it's adventurous apparently and eat random street food, and after doing all this when they have some unfortunate incident due to their own stupidity they call India trash and defame it's name instead. It's nothing but frustrating, we need more vloggers like you guys.

    i dont understand why the so called safety issues arises only when it comes to india meanwhile there are people being shot every week in the US and especially indians, just because all the crimes get so much attention that happen in india but when it comes to other countries, nobody really cares, also you cannot generalize a country when you have not travelled it entirely, you still have not visited the northern states like kashmir, ladakh, Manali, meghalaya and so much more, you have hardly travelled 20% of india, so this "indian travel guide" doesnt make sense at all. you sound like bunch of western hypocrites

    • @AbbyandGaz
      @AbbyandGaz  Před 5 měsíci +2

      Firstly we did not ask the questions so you are directing the safety question at us when it came from many of our followers. We were simply answering the question. Also we aren’t talking about the US in this video we are speaking about India. If we were travelling the US people would also ask us about feeling safe due to their gun laws.
      Secondly if you listen we do actually state that it is difficult to generalize India as it is so large, diverse and we only did certain areas. We are just talking about our experience and this is a question and answer from our audience. We don’t claim to be experts on India hence why it is not called a travel guide 👍🏻.
      I think you have completely misinterpreted this whole video☺️

      Absolutely 100 folds safer than India. There are mire than a million Indians live here, students, refugees,asylum seekers, immigrants etc, all of them live safely enjoying. By the way in India you don't get other origins particularly Caucasians,Africans,Chinese, Caribbeans or South Americans naturalized, whereas in the UK we host people across the globe fyi.
