The 12 Days of Christmas start on Christmas Day and last until the evening of the 5th January - also known as Twelfth Night. The 12 Days have been celebrated in Europe since before the middle ages and were a time of celebration. ❤ we celebrate Jan 6th as well. That is when the 3 kings came to present the gifts.
...Or those 2 swimmers in the pool on a cold day are Canadians. ;) When we visited Florida in January back in 2016, we, of course, chose THE coldest week to go, but that didn't deter my kiddos from swimming in the unheated pool that came with our rental house.

And yes - some people keep their trees up until Epiphany - We celebrate all 12 days of Christmas. (you know the song.. the 12 days of Christmas). You start counting Christmas day as the first day - you'll end up 12 days later on January 6th. So, in the Christian church - Epiphany begins Carnival Season - Mardi Gras, Lent, (40 days) and then Easter.

I celebrate Christmas on January sixth I’m American but my mom is from Russia and we celebrate since I’ve been born Russian orthodox Christmas :-) 🎄 love Rothy’s!!! I was there in December got a couple pairs to take home.
They may leave it up for those that celebrate Eastern Orthodox Christmas. My son’s friend celebrated this past weekend on 1/6-1/7.

SOUL, TURNING RED, and LUCA are all cycling back into theaters in limited runs over the next few months. I think it's a really fun idea since they really only got exposure on streaming in 2021 and 2021. And I'm really looking forward to seeing LUCA on the big screen.
