Sam Selvon: The Lonely Londoners

The Lonely Londoners is a 1956 novel by Trinidadian author Samuel Selvon. It follows the lives of a select number of black African and Afro-Caribbean immigrants to London in the early 1950s. It is important not only for being a good novel, but also for providing a fictionalised portrait of (a part of) the Windrush Generation.
