I have my grandad's old box call he bought in 1956. That thing has killed more birds than cancer. I probably would give up turkey hunting if I lost that thing.
These are the best turkey hunting vids on CZcams. I’ve got a 40+ year old box call that is my go to call. I’ve tried a couple newer ones and they just don’t make as good a sound. Like others have mentioned, if I lose it I’ll be devastated.
Went out this morning after watching Jason's vid on CZcams. Gotbalot of good tips and took them to the woods. Called in my first spring gobbler! What a day!
Thank you Jason for your teaching and explaining how to best use the box call. I feel by watching you experienced Turkey callers, I’m getting the hang of the box call. One side note, my wife and dogs hate me and I’ve only begun! 🤣 But she knows how important it is for ke to be a perfectionist with Turkey calling. Thanks again.
I enjoyed your video. I saw it and decided to watch. I've been using Lynch's foolproof call. I've had it for 30 years at least now. It's brought in many a bird. I love that long custom made box you have. Thank you.
I stumbled on this video because I just picked up a vintage Lynch box call at a garage sale for a buck. It’s from 1958 (or that’s what the side of the call says) and it is still in the original box so it was pretty cool! Never hunted turkey yet, so I wanted to check out a video like this to see if it’s something a beginner could use. Turkey season just ended here in Utah, so I’ll have to wait til next year but thanks for the video!

A good box call can last a lifetime and become a family heirloom if kept dry and chalked. Latex mouth calls are meant to be disposed of after a couple of years.
I use a box call by holding the lid and moving the box it works for me betteri have one made and gave to me from a good friend who is gone now its all cherry and will make any call a turkey makes i have killed most of my turkeys with a old all cedar call but after many years the wood just died nothing like a box call the easiest of all to learn
Sorry, I've heard hens slide into a yelp, and I've killed big Toms with that very call. They don't slide into a yelp loud, so you don't normally hear a loud slide into a yelp, but they do slide into a yelp. So, if you slide into a yelp, the slide is lower or quiter than the yelp. Just sayin.

I think box calls are the best of calls. For years it's the best ones
I bought one 4 years ago and never used it but seeing this warrants trying it this year .Going to hunt here in Ontario Canada
