  • The three hills of Barborka, Buchlov and Holý in the Chřiby mountain range are age-old dominant feature of the area around the town of Uherske Hradiste. The Chřiby Nature Park with its ring of foothill villages offers not only picturesque mountains full of forests, meadows with rare flora, rocks and solitary boulders whose face has been shaped by water and wind over the centuries. Moreover, this country is full of stories about St. Cyril and Method, who left a distinct trace in this part of Moravia in the vicinity of the nearby Veligrad. The Buchlov castle, ruins of the Cimburk castle, the mysterious Pulpit and mythical Kozel, the burial mound sites near Tabarky, excavations in the underground of the Velehrad basilica and the archeological open-air museum in Modrá - all these places bear partly real and partly mythical traces of people who live, worked and died there. Hundreds of astonishing stories are hidden by the forest giant trees. The authors of this exceptional documentary invite you for a trip whose aim is not to educate but to reveal the unique atmosphere of this mountain range.
