- We’re in a backstage dressing room at the Rock en Seine festival in Paris on the 28th of August. Tensions between Liam and Noel Gallagher of the band Oasis were at an all time high. Just before showtime Liam decided to throw Noels 1960 ES355 across the dressing room.
Some Might Say this is the exact moment Oasis broke up. By that time, both the ES355 and the brotherly relationship were in pieces, unfortunately only the former could be restored.

Great drive down memory lane!
Wow sounds really nice, you can hear not only the notes rounded and well defined but also the semi hollow body, really vintage sound, that mesa boogie amp also does a good job.
Skyway Suuuuper Novaaaaa!!!
Classic!
Lovely playing.
Nice guitar and Nice playing, thanks Milo!
Thanks!
Great video guys!
Thanks! :)
Love that '58 Chevy!! First year any car had four headlights, and Chevy AND Ford came out with 'em the same year! I have this guitar but in a 1973 version ... even has the B7 Bigsby installed by Gibson Repair and Restoration. Someday, I will buy a $350 pickguard to replace the one that self-destructed in the case.
This guitar needs some heavier strings, though. Otherwise, what a beauty.
Awesome playing bro.
Thx Billy!
great guitar for thre money!! sounds smooth!
I would have also run through the pickups, rythm, both, treble, in sequence, with the varitone set to position one. Then the same sequence for the pickups with varitone set to position two etc. I played a 345 for a while. Varitones are interesting but I only liked a few certain sounds from it. They can all be tweaked with the tone controls on the guitar and your amp, plus a good EQ. Nice video.
Thanks Ralph for the comment and the advice! :)
Amazing video! Could you guys provide a link to the tune being played on the guitar without the commentary? I think person has played an amazing tune on this guitar.
Thanks! Unfortunately, we don't have that recording anymore in our archives :(
Great video
A black finish would look great ! I know I am judging the tone via "Long distance" on a phone but it does'nt sound that special. I usually ended up with a 335 or even 330 after playing a 355 cos the necks near the nut were too narrow. It is a bit like a Les paul custom to a Standard but as a Semi. It's sort of sad that it has gained the spotlight for splitting two Brothers up. My best made years ago just hit me with a plank of wood after I smashed a guitar over his head and 7 mins later all was well on stage. Broken guitars + big Egos+fatique = another ltd edition but what do I know?
Fantastic video. Quick question: I have this exact guitar, one of the 200. Is it normal that position 6 of the varitone is way softer and not as loud as the other positions?
A little difference in volume between the positions is no cause for alarm. If it's a very big difference you can check (or let a luthier) check the pots and wiring, just to be sure. :)
@milo, je hebt toevallig geen tab hiervan?😬
Can you tell me: are you plugged in as a mono or a stereo guitar? I’m confused with the specs. On the Gibson website it says mono varitone but the truss rod cover says stereo.
It's a Mono with Mono wiring! Probably because Noel changed up the wiring on his original Stereo model as well ;)
Thanks!!!
Hurry up ..the video has almost finished!!!!.one second per varitone turn. ONE SECOND. ONE SECOND, GOT IT?
Do you still have this? I need it"!
Sold already man, sorry!
There is only 200 made and there $10k? Is that right?
This guitar is limited and will go up in price. If you have the cash and want an investment that you can enjoy in your hands you may like this. If you are angry about the price Epiphone has his other offering for 1/20th the price.
Murphy lab 355 is around the same price btw.
On top of that, this is actually a killer guitar as well!
Does it only plays Oasis?
The ES355 or Milo?
@@thefellowshipofacoustics The guitar
@@gffg387 yawn
The trouble with the Noel Gallagher model is it only allows you to play 4 chords on it.
?
@@bogarbill6331 It’s a joke. Noel can only play about 4 chords.
@@SuperEdge67 not true at all. Try playing Strawberry fields 2006 Japan..
@@SuperEdge67 yawn. Go and take your nonsense elsewhere.
Gibson had the BB King Lucille and Now they added the Noel Gallagher Imbecille to the lineup. 🥰
Its actually the Noel Gallagher complete prick model!
This comment deserves more love!
Aawww someone’s jealous.
How many records have you sold?
As for BB King: he was a Blues player and could only play one style.
$10,000 US dollars and relic. Skip!! Not For me!
How much does your signature guitar sell for?
@@rkid727just 'cause you have a signature model does it make you better? Get a grip!
@ I’d say if Gibson makes a signature guitar for you, you’re pretty much a legend. Are you really arguing this?
@@rkid727 to be fair I don't think he said he was better just that this particular guitar is not for him.
@@voidtremors5814 maybe he could have left off the relic comment. Seemed pretty unnecessary to say that. Of course the price is ludicrous.
The axe is great, however, cannot stand Noel Gallagher.
Who asked you??
