Yep, he even toured the US with the purpose of discouraging them from joining the war - actively involved undermining the Palace of Westminster!!

I was listening to a podcast a while ago where a historian was saying that Wallis Simpson should have been given an award for services to the British Empire for getting him to abdicate.

More than you can imagine. He was passing confidential government information to Germany while he was on the throne.

It's fortunate that Harry has never been in Edward VIII's situation because the damage to the BRF would be 20 times worse. Edward still had some power, however diminished. Harry, fortunately, doesn't. But both have been proven to be not very nice people, i.e., very selfish , self-centered, childish, narcissistic, not very bright or self-aware individuals. My opinion.

I'm not from Britain, but I think you all should be glad you got the brother instead.

Fascinating story . As usual Edward VIII comes out of the affair very badly and an idiot . His abdication saved the monarchy .

It seems the man was not killed in his bed. And the· friend that stayed for the night did not hear anything because Oakes was not there.

I don't think he was guilty there was something shady from the get-go something to do with Edward and his co-horts for sure. And the guy stayed overnight not to hear anything with that brutality or smell any of the burning he's full of BS
This son-in-law I think was just going to wait patiently for the father-in-law to kick the bucket naturally.

Regarding the photos of the crime scene shown in the program, who took these photographs? It appears that the crime scene was in fact photographed.

This was a very interesting documentary, but the background music spoiled it for me. Why do presenters do this? The music is too loud and distracting, and wholly unsuited to the story.

And the Windsors were there at the time. Oaks wasn’t being protected? Strange.

The using of a pipe on the head suggests a domestic close maybe staff, agauntance, just popping a bullet in the head suggests buisness.

Who did it? DUH. How about his "best friend" in the connecting bedroom who apparently "heard nothing?"

Perhaps the police were bribed by the accused to bring the palpably false evidence about the fingerprint so as to undermine the prosecution case. However, apart from the burnt hairs on the accused, the evidence against him seems non-existent. He could have been burned by candles at his dinner table. If he didn’t notice it he would be able to explain it away.

Can’t explain the son in law’s burnt hands.
He did it. Weak Prosecution .
