Oh man, don’t even get me started on toxic stan Twitter about Robert and Jeff. It got so bad I had to leave Twitter entirely, and that was a year ago. Is it still bad?

They used to say that Robert was a performative activist (when he wasn’t) because they thought he was making too big a deal about supporting trans rights, like telling people that he was putting his pronouns in his bio bc he heard it helped trans people (they conveniently forgot that he tweeted this in order to encourage other people to do it if they felt comfortable). As for Jeff, I think it started with him joking that if he dated a they/them non-binary person would that mean he would be dating multiple people. It was in slightly poor taste (hardly offensive and I’m nb myself) but he did apologise almost immediately after saying it on one of his streams. Wasn’t enough for Twitter tho 🙄. I don’t know everything they say though, so I might have missed some stuff but that’s what I remember.
