    After all the work was completed, looks like all that you would need to paint could be done with a rattle can... good paint in those as well, (your paint and their can) so its on the road a good two weeks ahead. I worked on logging trucks, drove mostly but never cared for the cab over so just conventional rigs. I went with my brother in law to a couple trips long haul.... it seemed like you never stopped filling out log books and when working on one once, found a stash of them tucked into a compartment that put you inside the cab cavities. Musta been twenty books back in there that were years old. While on the road and in a lower section of Roseburg... had a double corner to get back to the highway.... I made my attempt and seen that a stop sign was in line with my rear trailer wheels.... I was so frustrated that the sign just met its demise and as it folded over I was feeling real bad but as soon as the last tire went over the sign it just popped right the heck back up.... Hmm, no marks, no foul! I went back to bend in the middle rigs and stayed there for some time. Nice work on that rig and shows that just because they make new ones everyday, you can still save your own rig. I am not sure if people understand how much goes into a truck and how we kept them going as a part failed, it was redone keeping it ready and way cheaper monthly bills

      @eln0n01 Před 3 lety

      @@matt89108 i mean, is it safe?? From what i can see in this video this truck was rebuilt with new parts, and you’re wrong about it being worth zero,
      Idk what world you love in but this isn’t the 80’s where a rebuilt meant putting bondo and hammering shit back to its its original shape, manufacturers have these manuals where it tells you WHERE TO CUT THE OLD AND ATTACH THE NEW PART, ooh ooh and they sell you the brand new part just like the one they use on them at the factory, when you finish you have the opportunity to drive a modern day vehicle for a fraction, i’d take that.?

    European trucks are infinitely more complicated than this..which is why a truck with half as much damage as this would never be rebuilt - either exported to Russia or Africa or Greece or broken up for parts at home. Is this really economical to do this with both chassis and cab needing replacement? Really enjoyed watching the process, you've some skills I'd say
