- In this episode recorded not long after the game, we look back at Arsenal's 1-0 win over Man Utd at Old Trafford on Sunday. It wasn't a great performance, but Leandro Trossard's first half goal was enough for all three points and to keep the title push going until the final day. We chat about why the attacking performance was so inhibited, but there's praise for the way we defended against a United side that offered little to threaten us. Underlying it all though, was a sense of pre-game dread, and we discuss that, and the prospect of the final day, as well as answering listener questions about Spurs game against Man City on Tuesday, William Saliba, and much more.

Partey made 1 bad mistake but so did Rice, Odegaard was also caught giving them a dangerous break just before half time. White played a mad pass to Tomi in the 2nd half. Saka plays a bad cross field pass that ended in a dangerous counter. They all had moments today and very few of them played well. I'm not saying Party was good but he was not worse than Saka or White, who struggled all game.
That was quick 😅
COYS and COYG
Ewww brush your teeth
😂😂
Lol
Picture this: North London Derby next season and the Arsenal fans chant: 'You won us the league! You won us the league! Tottenham Hotspur, you won us the league!' Please Spurs make this happen.
🤞😅
🤣
goodly evening?
This team deserves the title, its just not fair and you know those bums down the road will bend over
That Colin Robinson reference is spot on 😂. Ten Hag is just draining the life out of Man United and it’s hilarious to watch.
🤣🤣🤣
It’s been a great team effort this season and it feels good to be an Arsenal fan again after the feelings of hopelessness in the last several years of Wenger’s reign.
I wish I could respect Man City more but it’s hard when not only are they backed by a nation state but there are also all those charges against them which are being brushed aside.
Maybe all our players should have 115 on the backs of their shirts at the start of next season 🙄
I can’t find the actual quote but going into the last game of the season I’ll always remember what Arteta said after villa. Losing 1 game and drawing to city between Christmas and (assuming we beat Everton) May 19th, and winning every other game not being enough to win the league shows the standard that city set. What other league in the world would that run of results not win you the league? None. I can’t wait for Sunday, regardless of the outcome. This team is outstanding and this season has been a joy to be involved in. Well only get better next year, these players should be so proud. I know I am!
How is Saliba not in the pl player of the year
Best intro ever!!!! 😂
Wow normally these take a couple days
Our midfield was shambolic, only Raya and Saliba were excellent in both halves!
Throw Gabriel in there too
Momentum changers is how we go to the next level. Look at our bench, plenty of talent, but how many on that bench will come on and change the momentum of a game for us? Games like Man U when we take lead but then become cautious and sit back are fine 9/10 times as Arteta has built a team that is incredibly reliable defensively so we can see it out. But games like the second leg vs Bayern when we go into that mode and concede we lack options that will swing the game back our way. Look at city’s bench. Game changers, options that change the style or approach or force the team forward, that’s what we need this summer, that’s the next level for us.
James absolutely spot on - the palace game added that pressure going into the game.
James, you MUST have clipped, then copied and pasted what you’ve said between minute 7-8 at least 3 times this season. -proud listener to literally every one of your poddys
Wrong again, James; if Villa draw against Liverpool and draw their last game of the season they will have 69pts. If Spurs win their last two games they will have 69pts. BUT, Spurs's goal difference is currently eight goals worse than Villa - there is no way the Spuds can make up 8 goals in two games. NO WAY. You're right about one thing, though; you are hopeless at maths.
a steelband would be AMAZING!!! 🙌🏾👏🏾
the sooner we upgrade on Partey, the better.
No sound, Andrew. 😢
Best podcast on any format 🤘🏻
hot off the press
I shall be wrestling the bald headed champion whilst the Spurs v Man City game is on
It says everything that last seasons black away kit was like gold dust, yet this year's yellow monstrosity they can't give away.
52:00 the magic man was going on about that on sky. He thought it was disgusting that spuds had a parade before their last home match. Having heard that debate Spuds have to try even if villa beat Liverpool. Anything else (eg an own goal) would have to be investigated.
Lez do disssssssssssss ❤️🤍
#RedArmy #Ou2B #EiE
lovely surprise!
There's no audio Andrew 🫠
More confidence in West Ham doing us a favour
All I learned from this game is that Amad Diallo is some player.
47:00 there is a part of me that doesn't want spuds to qualify for champions league (and hence beat shitty). They have huge debts and qualifying for it could generate millions of pounds of revenue.
Eveningly good!
Unironically and emphatically, COYS!!!
Wow that was quick! This fixture is never easy....despite of United being poor
Glad we won but my god was it stressful 😂
47:00 😂😂😂
holy shit right away
Goodly Morning 🌄
Is it fair to say Tottenham vs Man city is the biggest game of this season
Please Spurs, do it for football
Partey is an easy scapegoat but Arsenals fans are quick to brush off Odegaard being poor away from home to a big club once again.
😮goodly evening guy's that wasn't pleasant ❤ arsenal tíll í díé
huh? that's fuckin' quick
"He's shite" 🤣
I'll shave my head if Spurs get anything from the game against Man City
Squillaci
My opinion:
OK. A win and 3 points. I take it. That's the only matter for me now. The damaged already done in the Villa game. What else can I say? Just wait, hope and see what happen next. Anyway, based on this game as what I've seen...
1] Ten Haag seriously doesn't give a damn for this game especially many of their main players injured. 60%-70% players are old players and kids. And a few of them not play in their real position. Imagine lazy old Casemiro play as CB with an old Evans? McTominay plays as a CAM? So, this is a gift from Ten Haag to Arteta. Maybe Ten Haag agreed with Arteta and doing a favor as long you don't batter my team as what Crystal Palace did to us, I will be fine. He focuses on the FA Cup final and that is the only thing can save his job this season. Maybe Man Utd really hate and don't want Man City to win again this season. Too hard to swallow when your rival wins every year.
2] Today, both Tomiyasu and White get cooked by Amad and Garnacho. White is the worst. I agree White is good in going forward but defending??? He is very bad. He always gets cooked with pacey winger. Luckily, Saliba is always there to stop it.
3] I don't know if this a game strategy or what but looks like we stop playing after scored the goal as what been agreed by Arteta and Ten Haag before the game. At least for Ten Haag, the fans won't blame him too much on this result by putting most of old players and kids and still just loss 0-1. It doesn't look so bad compared to what happened at C.Palace. After the 1st goal, Arsenal just lost everything. They lose almost every 50-50 ball challenge until the last minute. First touch getting bad. They became so lightweight and Man Utd being so aggressive and press hard. Partey became a 60yrs old man. The passing at the final third became so horrible. Miss passes between them and not clicking at all. Like this is the first time they are playing together. If this is a game strategy by Arteta, then I can say this is the quite bad strategy I ever seen. You play against Man Utd team C, they are in very bad form, and we are in top form, and you still want to hold 0-1 until the last minute??? What happen if you conceded a goal by mistake or reflection in the last minute? Can you recover back? I don't like we stop attacking and defending by holding the lead 0-1 till the end. It just not good for my heart. Especially when it comes to Arsenal which always give a free goal to the opponent with own clumsy mistake at the back. We have seen it before many times.
4] Do any of you think we can still win this game IF Man Utd play their main players such as Varane. Martinez, Rashford, Martial, Shaw and Bruno at this point of time? This is hard to answer. OR is it we haven't put the second gear in this game? I don't know if this is really a game management, or we are just unable to keep our mental strong enough or nervous in this situation and condition. Play a very important game at your no 1 all-time rival and very good in counterattack. But holding 0-1 is so dangerous especially against Man Utd.
5] OK. Man Utd gave us a win as a favor. Does any of you think Spussy will do the same favor to Man City? We know they hate us and what damage it could be to them if they lose to Man City? Any great impact especially if Villa loses to Liverpool? Just wondering... I know Man Utd are out of race of top 4. No impact except if they have a chance for the Europa League but Spussy still have an opportunity for top 4. That's the different. OK.... COYG
No audio there Andrew 😭
