For those who don't know Speed, Speed is a Japanese girl group that debuted in 1995.They are from the Actors School in Okinawa, which produced Namie Amuro, and all four of them are from Okinawa.They are strongly influenced by American girl group tlc.At the time, they were 11-14 years old and very young, but were known for their excellent singing and dancing skills.
At least they didnt claim to be original like MHJ 😂

I would say that Japan is good at creating blueprints but is not good at innovating the and tends to keep them in their purest form. It has pros (lucrative market that still buys music) and cons (lack of innovation).
Whereas Korea is good at taking things that already exist and is able to implement at a high level of skills. (Ex: technology, K-pop which mixes Jpop and western pop).
It has pros (practical approach) and cons (will always be seen as high level implementers and not innovators)

@@newbunnie1 In Attention Performance video, the part where they are dancing at night kinda looks like a rooftop, it took me a while to realize they were in a different part of the stadium, and just like in the Speed video you can see the buildings in the background. Also, I just noticed one the outfits wore by a Speed member in the stadium (Dark long sleeves top, low rise beige pants, sneakers) this outfit was also wore by Minji in Hype boy in Music Bank. The whole styling of New jeans debut is a copy of this group. So is kind of embarrassing that MHJ says that ILLIT is copying NJ when her ideas are not original.
MHJ is a huge hypocrite. Literally everything she stole from speed to use for new jeans. From now on, no one dare to say new jeans is something new or

Back in 90s, I agree, but nowadays kpop became too big that most recent jpop artists sound and dress very similar to kpop. They're constantly influencing each other, it's not all negative. Just something observed living in Japan for decades.
@@user-j5ja95 Japanese people do not blame Korea for imitating Japan, but they do tend to dislike Japanese people who imitate Korea. (I think they accept the self-proclaimed Japanese kpop groups created by JYP and Mnet.) The Japanese understand that Japan and Korea are mutually influencing each other.
The problem is that Koreans claim that everything inspired by Japan is their own originality.
