I found in the beginning it can be a little hard to follow what's going on but overall bogdan and Elizabeth will be my favourites in the book
Great review. I'd score it a bit lower than 88/100, myself, but I share your appreciation of the clever set up and the four main characters.
Started strong then fizzled after the first act, picked up again at the midpoint, and the pacing halted again around the third act but ultimately finished very strong and emotional. I’d give it a 68%
Always wonder when i should start a series .. now there is two books out and a third planned for next year, would you say it is ok to read the first two now or would this make the year of waiting a little too annoying?😅
I haven't read the second one yet. I have heard very good things about it though. I'm sure you'll be fine waiting 😅
i just completed the book and really enjoyed it. As an American, there were some references that were lost on me but that did not hinder my enjoyment
I'm glad you enjoyed it. There is a sequel to this book coming out this month, so I would definitely take a look at that one as well

I wanted to like this book but didn't , hated last few chapters so many murders and lost who did what and why ? I can see it as TV show on Sunday afternoon .
I found a lot to admire in the book and his writing but was ultimately furstrated in its flaws as a murder mystery. The deep dive review on my channel runs to 30 minutes and gives praise but also ends up giving it a bit of a kick-in. But with millions of pounds and stacks of positive reviews to fall back on, I don't suppose the great man will be too vexed.
