220 Nm doesn't sound like a lot of torque, my petrol 1.0 TSI already has 200 Nm of torque.

@@patrickvanbeek5058 yeah, its not that much just looking at the numbers, but remeber that on an engine like this, the torque is avialable from very low rpms, unlike the tsi. But the tdi here is not that powerful, because its an understressed engine built to just last a long time. Completly different purpose than your 1.0. still a good engine for small cars tho

@Johny Balleron Yes, that's true. But the 84HP 2.0TDI has it's 220Nm torque from 1500-2500 Rpm, while the 1.0 TSI has 200Nm from 2000-3500 Rpm. The TDI has it's maximum torque 500 Rpm earlier, but also 500 Rpm shorter. So in terms of torque those are almost equal, but because of this I don't think the 1.0 tsi can be as heavily loaded, and it certainly doesn't last as long as the TDI.
