    I went to one of Keith’s concerts. As he spoke the truth without compromise my pride and rebellion rose up. Then he quoted Jesus, “Because you are lukewarm-neither hot nor cold-I am about to spit you out of my mouth.” Rev. 3:16. He said the word spit means vomit. He said if you are lukewarm you make the Lord sick to vomit! I hated Keith Green at that moment! I thought he is not walking in love. He is judging me! I went into spiritual shock and could not drive my car home for some time. The next day I checked out the original word for “spit” and found it meant vomit. At that point I knew I made God sick! Of course he loved me…but I made him sick by my lukewarm actions. I repented…I stopped walking in sin…I put my shoes on and went and conducted 350 Outreaches for the Lost in Pakistan, Africa, India, China, Mexico, Canada, Indonesia, South and Central America and Australia and led ONE MILLION PEOPLE TO CHRIST! [and now I am going for one billion]. The truth sets people free [Jn.8:32] not some sissy, sweet, watered down, compromising, hellish fake gospel…but the truth given in love.

    I've been listening to the song for over 20 years and it still gives me goosebumps. I'm so grateful for my life. They're such lesson for connecting me. I've had my ups and downs, and my life has not been necessarily easy but compared to the early not there right now, my Life has been easy. I cry every morning to claim that the Holy Spirit guides me in the right direction. Sometimes I get confused, frustrated, and fearful but I know those feelings are not of God so I basically have to repent every day and trust in him that he is leading the way completely. God continue to make me grateful for the things that I have and for the direction in life that you were sending me.thank you Mr. Keith Green for being such a wonderful ministered to me all these years. Rest of the Lord my brother

    I read at the time that The Sheep and Goats transitioning into Asleep in the Light was taken from the great Oral Roberts ministry meetings in which the Holy Spirit moved mightily, causing many to confess sins. (He is playing a Steinway concert grand.) This patched into Keith's recording of Asleep in the Light. This is truly a shattering experience, and a witness to the Lord inspiring a performance on the spur of a moment. I cannot listen through this with out bursting into tears. Thank you, Jesus, and I hope to see Brother Keith in eternity.

      I agree, and at 56 now, and spending 35 of those years in churches like he is talking about, I can attest to the fact that he nailed it. He is ABSOLUTELY RIGHT. Most churches I've attended are filled with goats. Sin is never preached because the biggest contributors line up to shake the minister's hand as they are leaving and comment on the sermon. If one touches the " pet sin" or " sacred cow" of some rich church patron all hell will break out. It can't be done. The wardens and vestry will just vote to have him removed. They are there to be told what good people they are, how proud Jesus is that they show up every week and put their little envelope in the plate. In churches like that, that is how one tells a " real" Christian. They have numbered envelopes that they hand in every week, so they can deduct for taxes. Someone who puts cash in the offering plate, well. ...they just don't take their Christianity seriously or they would have envelopes. I wonder what one of those minister's would make of the widows mite.

    Whatsoever you've done unto the least of these, you've also done unto Me.
    It's food and clothes. It's shoes. It's a least of these kind of test. Be blessed. Jesus loves you. The rich man is being called to salvation. Give Jesus what's His and watch Him bless what's yours. Starting with your soul and heart. God bless you all! Jesus is coming. Send the messengers out by giving them what they need. Amen.

      @Samwell Samwell, Keith Green wan NOT bipolar NOR fanatical. He was dedicated with his whole heart and mind to Jesus. The person who is only half-hearted in their commitment, or, (as James says in his letter)double-minded in their commitment - that is the person who is spiritually bipolar. I call you out on your comment. I deem you unqualified to make such a statement; for either you are lacking the credentials to make such a diagnosis, and you have not had close treatment of Keith in a clinical setting, or if you have credentials and personal knowledge from treatment sessions, then you are disqualified by virtue of your blatant disregard of confidentiality and wanton violation of professional ethics. But truth be told, I suspect you just don't like being confronted with the truth he is sharing. But even if he was bipolar, the Word of the Lord stands. Rather than take his message WITH a grain of salt, you would be wise to take it AS a grain of salt, and as a flash of light. Trying to dismiss his message with a false accusation as you do sounds like something a sleeping person would say in order to hit snooze on the alarm so they don't have to wake from spiritual slumber and get out of bed. His passion on stage (and in his life) is because He actually believes what Jesus said in Matthew 25. He is sounding the alarm out of love for you so that you wake up before it's too late. Keith wants you to hear the Lord say, "Well done good and faithful servant. Enter into your rest." Not, "I never knew you. Depart from me into the fire prepared for the devil and his angles."

    This scripture has nothing to do with Christians. My brethren are the Jews. Sheep and goats have nothing to do with gentile believers. Has to do with Jewish believers and nation's that persecuted them.

      @@knowmusicman157 “He who does the will of my
      Father,” not he who is ethnically Jew. It’s false that Jesus didn’t teach non-Jews. He taught a Samaritan woman, a Roman centurion and he ministered to them. Even if Jesus limited his ministry to his people in his time, that does not mean that it was not God’s intention that Gentiles also be saved by believing in Jesus. Not only that, it is the testimony of the eyewitnesses and the apostles that the Gentiles will be saved by believing in Jesus and what he taught.

    • @knowmusicman157

      @@sedmercado24 Of course the Gospel is for all people, both Jew and gentile. Read carefully what I said. A gentile congregation. I never said he didn't ever speak to a gentile. The sheep are the lost sheep of "the house of Israel." Context is the key to interpreting the Scriptures. Interpretation is first. Then application. I gave you the literal, historical, cultural, interpretation of the sheep and the goats. Apparently you don't have the discernment to understand it or your pride won't let you be taught or corrected.

    • @sedmercado24
      @sedmercado24  Před 2 lety

      @@knowmusicman157 The Gospel is for all people yet Matthew 25 has nothing to do with Christians according to you. It's clear that the verse is teaching that what you do to the least of the brethren of Jesus determines whether you are a sheep or a goat. And who is Jesus' brethren? Jesus himself said those who do the will of God, and not "only you Jews listening me in this congregation" or "only those born ethnically Jews". The fact that Jesus taught gentiles is proof that his teachings are not limited to certain ethnic groups. If Jesus' teachings only apply to Jewish congregations who heard him at that time how can the Gospel be "for all people"?
      Moreover how is helping the needy, visiting the sick and imprisoned related to the persecution of Jews by other nations? Is Jesus teaching that he expects other nations to take care of sick Jews, visit Jews in prison and take care of Jewish beggars? How could these be a message to those who don't follow or even know Jesus? No. Rather Jesus is teaching that he expects his OWN followers to DO THOSE things to the least of his brethren - the least meaning those who are needy. So what does Matthew 25 have to do with national persecution issues? Your interpretation doesn't make sense.
