- Lumina is now available to go get. Here's how to get it. It took me about 3.5 hours to complete with a fireteam and other people around. If you are solo, it will take longer.

So do super multikills. I got it very quickly through infinite Chaos Reach in the Blind Well.
Huckleberry+catalyst+taken psion multiplication: Just let them sit out there and mow them down like every 2-3 seconds.
I got it before I realized I was doing it with Masterworked crimson

Exactly what I did, Quickfang, Fighting Lion while running escalation protocol. Got it done very quickly.

-Get Rose.
-Get it from your collections.
-Have fun in Crucible.

The PVP isn’t the worst if you grin and bare it. I originally started off hating Crucible, but now I play a lot of Crucible (well actually Gambit but close enough, I still do Crucible for Exotic Quests tho) and it’s because it poses much more of a challenge than most of the base game content. Strikes are too friggin easy, Nightfall strikes are too hard to solo and I don’t have consistently active friends, Raids require friends that can be on for a couple hours, and I’ve already beat all the campaigns except Shadowkeep, but I don’t own Shadowkeep. So I do Crucible and Gambit to give myself a challenge without it being a challenge so difficult I want to peel my eyeballs out of my sockets with a rusty spoon for doing
Do supers not count? Just keep your super charged for an invader.
Carpe Noctem or if you’re a warlock running Graviton Lance and Nezarec Sin, and play Gambit. You’re super will almost always be charged due to the buff that Nezarec Sin has

One shot weapons, panic supers and the same 10 weapons time and time again dominate the meta. It CAN be fun (especially if you're winning) but more often than not nobody wants to play it.

@@olivre9872 It's flawed from a design standpoint. Forcing a player to complete certain game modes just to earn a weapon is ridiculous. This is the equivalent of going to work in order to buy something you like. Sure it happens in real life, but aren't we playing games to forget real life? Is just not an enjoyable experience.

Cool! Another weapon that I'll never get because I don't have anyone to play with. I feel like lately Destiny has been hitting the team aspect harder than normal. Before it was mostly Raids (which I've never done) but now it's many pieces of gear/weapons too. This sucks. I love Destiny but I don't know how much longer I'll keep playing if half the content is locked away from me. Team stuff is cool but quests like this aren't the kind of things you can auto-matchmake to get. Sucks.

For the handcannon kills in Crucible, Rose gives you more progress. It gives four percent instead of one.
Every Hand cannon is worth 4% teammate kills are only worth 1%

Fun fact: In EP, rounds 1-6 give 1 point, and the boss round gives 2 points

A good place to get orbs of light is the opening encounter of the leviathan. Endless waves of Cabal spawn, and I was using masterwork weapons, and chained my supers relatively quickly.
First name Last Name that’s what I did. I also used that as an opportunity to fully complete the Fighting Lion catalyst, two birds with one stone. Now I’m on the three different quests.
Or or or or, and follow me on this one run the fanatic strike produce orbs on the way there and at the final encounter he'll retreat 3 times each time he retreats, spawns an absurd amount of adds to pop your supers on

Finally after four whole weeks i finally got lumina after grinding as a solo player only on weekends
Mr. Healthy Challenge:
《Strikes and Nightfall only》
Two people must use Lumina and other healing abilities/ults and cannot attack bosses.
The person not using Lumina is the only one who can kill mini-bosses and bosses.
If the person not using Lumina is killed, everyone must go back to orbit.
Everyone can kill regular enemies.

Why do so many exotic quests require pvp? It pisses me off to no end
Especially an Exotic that shines best in PvE.
The one exotic with PvP requirements that actually pissed me off was Ace of Spades. It made no sense, lore wise. He had zero ties to PvP content (to my knowledge. Feel free to correct me). He was part of the Vanguard, and a fan favorite since the first Destiny. Of all things, why stress your strictly-PvE player base with PvP challenges? I don't care about having to fight other players for other exotics. But Ace of Spades was sort of crossing a line when it came to exotic quest requirements.
@@NuclearOlive that one actually didn’t bother me as much for whatever reason. It pissed me off at first because it meant I would have to buy Xbox Live Gold, but once I actually did the quest it wasn’t that hard. It just took an obnoxiously long time

I personally love it. I love games where i can be a healer and I love hand cannons (don’t we all) but this weapon really makes me feel like I am ten times more useful. On console this weapon feels great. The damage is very good.and rewards a kill by allowing you to heal and buff teammates and yourself
He forgot to mention it gives a 35% buff to all weapons after heals

For both players ta boot. Now if they release the catalyst to heal you also when you shoot another person.
Thanks for the guide! Got D2 while it was free and bought Forsaken for it so now I have access to both quests. I was originally gonna do just the quest for Thorn because someone told me this one was a pain in the ass but now that I’m seeing what you actually have to do, it seems MUCH easier than the Thorn actually. I already got the first part done by running a Masterwork Graviton Lance on Escalation Protocol, the multikills from the purple blobs that explode still count as multikills, so doing just the first segment will generate like 40-50 orbs due to all the chain explosions on the thralls that just killing one can cause. Again, thanks for the guide and I will def be getting Lumina soon. Thorn is also almost done for me and doing the stuff for Thorn was fun. I’m doing it during the Iron Banner to add a little spice and challenge to it and so far it’s been the most fun I’ve had in D2.
I can definitely see this become a go to PvE exotic paired with Phoenix Protocal and Well of Radiance. Heals and buffs for days.
I'm seeing a lot of people saying it's great for middle tree solar warlock
a little bit of advice for those stuck on deny invaders step. firstly dont worry about invaders until you hear drifter say 'your portal is ready' after he says this pay attention to the 'blocker incoming' and 'enemy portal is ready/active' text usually thats a pretty good indication your about to be invaded as most teams with common sense will bank motes before invading. next your best option is to run counter invader you really dont have any other option if your going to solo gambit. lastly like drifter says 'find them before they find you' and drop them quick personally i used secondary bow subtle calamity to do this if your lucky youll catch them before they kill you or someone on your team. one more thing before i go dont die trying to kill the enemy revenge from the grave tactics dont count quite literally it is also worth noting that usually invaders have their ultis up so be wary of that fact.
When u pull Rose out of the collections it gets a range mstrwrk. The gun is very strong in PvP
I just want to say, the endless thrall part in The Whisper really is one of the greatest things for quests. Sat there with a masterworked Crimson. Generated the orbs, got the multikills without reloading, and did two Werner bounties in a matter of minutes.
For the 50 orbs in the 2nd last quest you can go to reckoning and generate orbs for days. Hope it helps :)

Unfortunately the damage buff (35% in pve) does not stack with well, empowering rift or melee. So the only situation where I might consider using this (raid) is pretty much out of the question. Maybe phase one gahlran where you can buff your team mate and adds will die a bit quicker?
It does trigger benevolent dawn for middle dawnblade locks when you heal with it but it seems like a gimmick and not at all that useful in pretty much any situation
Fireteam leader step is a nightmare for solo players

As someone who initially played Warlock because he was thinking Sunsinger would be like Paragon or Ritualist in Guild Wars (a healer / support job), then went Titan because of the Paladin-like gloriousness of Destiny 1 Ward of Dawn. Then as someone who was disillusioned by Destiny 2's total step backwards in Year 1:
This gun alone and the new Sunsinger Well and the new jobs for Titan have made me want to play again...this FEELS like the game I wanted and was promised 6 years ago.

I wished I would not had to do an arbitrary pvp thing for a pve gun in gambit. Feels like an unnecessary roadblock for pve players who will be stuck on that step like me unless you cheese it in which case I simply dont want to do or play the game for. Very saddened for the time waste I had today.

Its not a hard quest, but the weapon is a little underwhelming. For me its mostly because it can't generate orbs of light. If it could do that its perfect in PvE. In PvP its overshadowed by other 150 hc 's.
Once it recieves a catalyst then it will.

@@avinavr7875 All I said was the minute it receives a catalyst, it will generate orbs of light. Never outright said that it would get one, but one should assume that it will at one point since there are catalysts for Post-Forsaken hand cannons in the database.

Fred Frod I had the rose equipped while doing the quest and it still doesn’t count doesn’t work. Do you need to do a specific mode and a specific time?
For the orbs, it's far easier to just go into a Whisper mission with a team IMO. my team found that progress was shared across the team members, although chucking on a MWed Huckleberry will get it done in not much longer solo.

As someone who mained support in OW. this is something I was hoping for. I always wanted a way to play like how I did with Zennyatta and this weapon gives me more of that feel. Especially with warlocks. My go to for group play.

also if u go to the green room in whisper heroic u can clear thrall there with huckleberry(if u have the catalyst, doesnt have to be fully upgraded) and thats how I did it. It took maybe like 10 minutes, so its a good option if ur alone

Riskrunner for multi kills without reloading is the quickest and easiest step you can do in this quest. Escalation protocol wasn't bad but you had to have nearly a full lobby to make it go faster than blind well. Should probably point out that the not on my watch medal has a time limit of ten seconds so gotta be quick in getting that invader kill.

Mine was in Alton dynamo on Mars. It's literally in the secret room near the top where you have to shoot the vent to jump up in that has a sleeper node in it.
