I think the thing that pissed most people off about her lip synching was the fact she tried to blame the band. If she had just come out and admitted it, I think people would have been more forgiving.
She takes full responsibility for the incident on her WWHL appearance. You have to remember she was barely 20 when the SNL thing happened. And it was her first taste of big success. She was likely terrified and embarrassed and said whatever popped into her head. Also, I would argue it was multiple people's fault and to lay the blame solely on her isn't fair. Do you really expect someone who is essentially a kid to really stick her neck out and say she wouldn't perform?
It doesn’t matter, she is terrible, her music continues to this day to be insulting to the ear drums and she’s a mass produced talentless hack whose music is already gone and will remain irrelevant.

here's a few ideas for natural cures for heartburn
Make sure you consume enough water.
cut down on tomato rich dishes eg pizza and pasta
cut down on French fries and mashed potatoes
Avoid smoking, drinking alchol or caffeinated drinks

No they wouldn't, people loved any excuse they could to bully women. And it was the band's fault too (well the drummer), who could've stopped playing the backing track when they realized it was the same song they had already "performed" earlier in the show before her prerecorded vocals began and it would've avoided a lot of the mess she got so, yea.
From Jezebel What bugged me about Ashlee then is that the story changed so much. First it was backing vocals and then it was that she had reflux and they even heavily edited her show when it aired to prove that she had reflux. She never once just owned the mistake. There were always excuses and it wasn’t her fault. I blame her dad manager for that more than her. She was young and he was terrible.
But this narrative that she worked so hard for what she had is somewhat of a joke. I remember on her show that the first time she ever sang in front of a crowd by herself was for a record label event. She got a record contract because of her relationship to her sister. She was not touring the country in small dive bars and state fairs scrounging for pennies to pay for food. She’s the music career equivalent of “born on third and thinks she hit a triple.”

Just the same nose job as all those years ago, she looks the same for the most part. If you look at her pics before her debut album era (and after) when she had her original blonde hairstyle she only looks a bit older now but it's clearly the same person.

Yeah people make it seem like her career was over at that moment, I didn’t know she made other albums and did tours, it’s just sad that people couldn’t let the SNL moment go, at least she made fun of herself like just laugh and move on, it’s just sad people just focus and judge her for this one moment without even thinking about why it happened and as if she’s the only person to lip sync.

Honestly, the humiliation of having that happen to her on live tv is punishment enough for lip syncing in the first place. That's the risk that's taken, I don't think she deserves any hate past that

She’s for sure had work done. I’m glad she was humbled by it-she blamed the band for the snafu rather than being a pro about it. We are all human, we all make mistakes but she didn’t want to own up to hers which is why she got roasted for it!
