The power of all the ground infantry are scaled up for gameplay. What can a few dragoons do to a science vessel in lore? They would get squashed if the science vessel landed on them. And the maintenance crew on the vessel alone could probably overpower the dragoons with their number.

50 marines : EZ kill.
To be fair, if they had used the real dizes and power of these things, most of it wouldnt be affordable

SC must be a really scary universe to live in. No wonder marines were freaking out and shaking during the SC Broodwar cutscene. What's crazy is they were just facing zerglings.
And this is still pretty tame compared to the one that is riping off
Still Warhammer 40ｋ universe is darker, scarier, horrifying, and no ones are safe even The Emperor of Mankind himself lol
@@jhr891 If the people behind 40k didn't back out there would have been a 40k game instead. Blizzard just continued with their work and made their own game. But I agree on the size, the high majority is minuscule in comparison to the 40k universe.
@@AutumnPulse Wasn't the first Warcraft game supposed to be a Warhammer game, but at the last minute Blizzard lost the rights, so they decided to tweak a few things and changed the name of the game, thus Warcraft was born lol

coz he just stormed the maxed out hydra army and they all died. 1 high templar storm > 200 maxed out hydra. as a zerg, makes me rage.

Seeing how big the Spear is makes me think it's hilarious that the ship did a warp jump to dodge a measly 4 missiles.

It’s crazy how big a sci vessel is, heck the raven is humongous..
A couple things I learned:
-Void rays are massive.
-Ravens are massive.
-Science vessels are massive.
-Broodlords are smaller than I thought.
I remember there was a mission in broodwar where you go inside a sci vessel so a knew they were big.. but a din't expect that they were bigger than battlecruisers
Well considering the Amerigo, a science vessel that was destroyed and had a mission take place in it, is shown in a cinematic to be incredibly large, it kind of makes sense. You should look up: Battle on the Amerigo, to check it, it's a great cinematic.
@@nehemiahdavidkotico5315 To be fair, Science Vessels are bigger than Minotaur-Class Battlecruisers, which are more modern, but smaller Battlecruisers while the older Behemoth-Class Battlecruisers are bigger than a Science Vessel.
The freaking mothership or voidray
Imagine a VR-supported Battlefield-type game based on Starcraft universe. You walk out a Barrack as a newly trained Marine, see the sky turns red and purple with the Swarm, Terran and Zerg alike dying everywhere around you. You scream a battlecry, shoot your whole magazine at a Mutalisk swooping down at your squad. Unbeknown to you, a dozen of Banelings have already surrounded your base. You say "Fuck" as everything turns black...
You open your eyes and the first thing you see is a man with long hair: "Hey, you, you're finally awake."
All I can imagine are my fps plummeting...
Command and conquer Renegade uses your ideia, u play as a comando (special ops unit) in c&c universe, can walk in/out strutures and drive tanks.
Battlezone 98 and Battlezone 2 does that as well

The spear of Adun is actually insane... Only 3 of these Ships existed and 2 have been lost. Yet in the Campaign the power of the ship has been constantly downplayed... :D
I wouldnt say the ship's power was downplayed. This ship was generally in orbit of whatever battlefield you were undertaking, not only providing support abilities for you as the battlefield commander, but most likely keeping a massive enemy support fleet from engaging your battlefield. It has been stated on multiple levels during the campaign that the Spirit of Adun is under attack, and while sure, its huge, it doesnt mean it is perfectly defended at every part.
I don't know what you are talking about, solar ray can melt basically any unit in the game once per minute for just a few energy and it can rain a super melting uber ray or cause orbital bombardment.
Imagine having to do a double marathon to go from one side of a battleship to another.

Well, there should be gravity, because Kerrigan and the others wasn't floating around when they are inside it in space, so it shouldn't be much of a problem, I guess. 👌

I think that Overlords are actually full of gas and are kinda like big blimps.

@@raylyz well the lore explaination for that is that overlord store light gas inside them that makes them able to float like balloon that they can release and reabsorb at will
Just imagine if overlord can have landing and infestation upgrade in the technology, we could see overlords rush again 😳

It was many surprises to me, how many units are actually much bigger than in the game, and how small units, such as marines, without the problems crashes some kilometres of toss air army ;D
If you look closely enough (closer than possible in this video) you can see a sign on the rear of the Spear of Adun reading "We brake for nobody".
That's ludicrous!

If the game' dmg is also properly scaled and tuned according to the size, Terran would have no chance of living at all, like at all.
In my perspective, game unit is just a representation of the real unit in the game lore. Such as one marine in game is equal to a squad or a company of marines in game lore

I remember that from a official source, the battle cruiser that we build in games are actually a version specifically designed for close surface tactical air support, like a scaled downed version of the big ones, hosting 6 pilots only. Like an AC130 gun boat.

I think lore wise, drones are fully capable of killing marines, as are all those other big monsters that in normal gameplay are helpless. I can imagine a swarm host crushing a marine, a lurker attacking without being burrowed, even the defiler looks intimidating from up close.
Yes if the marine didn't shoot them first. Keep in mind that gauss rifle that marine fire is our equivalent of AA gun, compactified. You know, the one where we joke how a commander is asking the gunner about a certain direction and telling them they want to delete it. The power armor is there not to give protection for the person inside but so that marine can actually shoot the damn gun without being blown away.
Essentially a single marine a mobile battery.

Forgot the Gorgon-class battlecruiser, should be inbetween mothership and leviathan I think (unless maybe you were only doing units in compeditive SC1 and SC2?), other than that great list I love it :D

Behemoth class are the SC1 cruisers
Starcraft wiki says thay're 560 meters long, so they're actually smaller than the Minotaur class

According to different sources the gorgon class is bigger than all other classes, except some super bcs, but then it's just 560meters in others, while the Bucephalos is both a super minotaur and a gorgon.
The white star is the biggest terran ship and a Super Gorgon.
Plot twist: These are all toys in Kerrigan's room, which is why she is so big at the end

@@MrHaLvlsS because the sizes in-game aren't meant to be realistic
@@MrHaLvlsS well void rays are basically giant lazer cutters, so they are designed to melt through armor of targets with thiccc metal armor. But if the game were to be realistic, terrans would win every game with worker rush, because 1 SCV can crush a probe in only 1 claw or pin a drone to the ground and drill its head in, so I wouldn't complain about not being realistic if I were you.

am i the only one who miss the old SC1 vehicles like the Goliaths, , Vipers, and Wraiths as well as the bigger class of Cruisers? not allowing us to use them in any multi mode of SC2 was a big crime! a big finger to us! otherwise , very interesting how the sizes of these units make the things different, when we think about this universe

According to this, the Spear of Adun is approximately 46 miles long. And the Leviathan is just over 6 miles in length.
Just about right. The spear of adun is supposed to able to hold enough Protoss to keep the species alive on the ship alone. In the event of Zerg takeover they would fly the ship into deep space and try and live out their lives as the only remaining life.
I wonder how big the Terran supercarriers are
