Just wanted to thank you for taking the time to make this video.
My wife wanted to purchase a new machine, but with your expert guidance it’s all fixed for under £10!
So thank you very much sir!!

That is a great video! My wife's Bosch was purchased originally in 2007; the motor stopped today, and indications are the brushes are worn out again. This will be the third set i have installed in this washer. I have not had to repair anything on this washer but those carbon brushes. They are relatively inexpensive and thanks to your video, will be easy to change. I remember a little of how it is all put together from doing the job twice before, but thanks to your video I will easily swap them out again, no learning curve required now.
Thank you sir for posting this information!

Thanx for this instruction Stuart! Saved me a expensive repair job! Specifically the details on removing the motor and connector without damaging or hurting was helpful.

Hi Stuart, came back to your enlighting video, because after 9 months, I had to replace the brushes once again! And the original brushes lasted about 13 years! Do you know if there's such a difference in quality in these brushes, let's say between original Bosch or some kind of imitation? Once again, very instructive video, thank you!

Spot on. Thanks very much, that saved another call-out. And with a bit of luck we'll get another 9 years out of the machine!

Thanks for the video! An easy way to know if the brush is put the right way is to turn the motor by hand a little, you should NOT hear a tic-tic-tic sound, this way the brush mut be put the other way round. I changed the brushes with the motor STILL installed on the machine because I was affraid to take the belt off. (relatively not easy but still managed to do it in about 20 minutes or so).

Wonderful video and very useful. I have never done any of this before and based on this and other videos decided to have a go at it (slightly different model machine, motor was quite a bit harder to get to as with mine it was obstructed a bit more), seems to have worked like a charm however.

Really good tip to put a towel under the motor- mine fell off suddenly & dented the casing a little bit!

Hi Stuart, I got an E43 fault on my Bosch WAQ 283soGB.
There was also a slight burning smell. Is this normal with worn brushes?

Hi. Thank you for the helpful video. The video is very clear. But my problem is that the motor of my Logixx 8 is stuck and there is no much space. Is there any way to remove a side layer or the bottom layer in order to have more space?

But I am not a washing machine engineer .
I just like to fix things myself as apposed to pay out stupid money .

I would have thought if you can lay your washing machine on it side you would have better access.

Some of the more recent washing machines don’t have brushes.

Why are the brushes at an angle? In most motors, they are perpendicular to the commutator..
