I have the red colored one. It's a VERY cool practice amp and it's VERY portable! Great sound. Quality electronics. 😎👍

Yes...without being a salesman...this amp is most likely the best small portable and durable practice amp. Naturally there are better in higher price ranges and sizes what comes to sound and versatility but still this challenges many. Maybe the tone knob is a con and the fact that delay and reverb can not be used simultaneously but no big deal. All the sound types are great. My fave is Brit combo (VoxAC30 TB) but others do work so well for me. It is loud enough and only 3W. Bad quality 20W amp is weaker.

I have this same amp and I have to say I only like the JC Clean and Black Panel voicings. I just can make the overdriven tones sound nice, at least for my ears. Kiitos muuten hyvistä videoista, otin seurantaan!

Great video as always, the only problem is the cost is on the higher end for the roland (at least in my place), but I recommend you do a video for Blackstar ID Core V3, solid amp for the price.
true, some amps might have a much higher price depending on where you live...

Good review. I have an original one (first version before that) and it has been a great portable amp (had since 2011) that has some very good sound.

Which sounds better as a practice amp (for low volumes) this one or the Orange Crush 20rt?
I prefer the micro cube for that purpose...Orange Crush 20rt is not bad either, but micro cube just works so well when played quietly😎

Please would someone share the specs on the power supply? The unit I bought came with a CUBE-10GX power charger. 5.7 V 2.0A 11.4 W (which on the face it looks like the power supply for the bigger CUBE)

Thanks for the great review! I just tried to get one and two music stores told me that it was discontinued and they won't be able to sell it anymore. Guess I have to get a used one. If anyone knows where to get the Micro Cube GX, I'd be one happy Guitar beginner. :-)

I noticed too that you cant ge this from anywhere. It's weird that Roland has not stated that this model will be discontinued. It still shows as an active product on their site... Also another thing is that this model has sold so well, its weird that they are discontinuing it. They probably release a new upgraded model... But lets see...

@@guitaristnextdoor8430 Yesterday I called their Service Centre and the guy on the phone indeed confirmed that the Micro Cube GX is discontinued. He could not tell me if there was a new model coming soon. I went to Ebay after that and ordered one from Japan. :-)
@tinnitusattacks unfortunately that seems to be the case...I emailed Roland and they answered me today. Roland Micro Cube GX is gone. 😱Discontinued. hopefully they will continue manufacturing it at some point or release an updated model😎

How about using it with acoustic steel and nylon string guitars?
