Can’t wait to have one!!
nice
Definitely gettin one 🤝🏼🔥
This video was great! More useless, ineffective technique tutorials please! 😂
Btw where can we purchase the type of wood sword you are using here (takemitsu)? It is oak with silver paint?
@@teegees I purchase from this Japanese store called "Muromachi" in Kyoto. As far as I know they do not ship internationally. And yes it is oak with silver paint!
Fun fact: Hummingbirds are the only birds that can fly backwards
If you feed them at your house and they get used to you, you can get them to come right up to a feeder held in your hand. And male hummingbirds “dog-fighting “ are a sight to behold!
Hummingbirds is the helicopter of bird.
Thank you sensei for another knowledge

Just for the friendly smile of this samurai you need to give it a like!
That's zatoichis signature move
Indeed it is!
The hummingbird is one of the cuuuuutest animals ever! (Also, I want to practice.)
taishi fighting for a "love worth to die for" 😂😂
That phrase awfully sounds familiar!😄
Congrats on your first tutorial video! 👏 The instructions seemed easy enough to follow. Just have to get a sword that's not sharp first, you were right to include that warning. 😅
Yes! Safety always comes first!🙏🦺⚠️
Awesome, it's the Zatoichi flash cut !!. Great tutorial. Arigato Toru.🙏
One of the coolest scenes from Zatoichi!
Nice video😂
Even if useless it is still a cool move.
In the next video can you do a reverse sword-grip handleling sword fight?
Always a pleasure to see you
抜刀した後しまう意味は無いけど、例え薄皮一枚だろうと相手より早く出血させられれば良いので思ってるより実用的だと思う
なるほど!重たい刀でもできるように指トレが必要そうですね!
I love your videos! Thanks for the amazing content !!!
Arigato for watching🙏
Great tutorial thank you for sharing toru sama ! you’re the best I really hope to learn from you in person one day !🙏🏼
Love the tutorials! 👏🏾
I'm sure you already know how to do this😆👌
めちゃくちゃカッコイイですよ~😂
It's one of those moves that if you're not careful, you instantly KO yourself haha.
I once practiced this technique a long time ago, before watching the video I decided to try to memorize it, and the first time it worked, haha, and after watching the video I found out that there are many different techniques, it was unexpected for me 0_0 now I will have a technique for a long time for combat scenes)
I think the most important lesson here is that you have to put the sword back in really slow, or your sheath moans.
Shogo mentioned if you slam your sword into your sheathe, you may break the sheathe if you misorient the sword into the sheathe (upside-down).
The technique I learned was actually the opposite direction. It was meant as a parry and was supposed to be followed up by another attack as soon as the katana is sheathed.
That's an interesting way to look at this technique, and it does make sense!
Did you forget about how to draw an odachi video
Oh yes, I also forgot we did a video on how to die beautifully in a choreographed fight a while ago😅

That was awesome. Thanks for the lesson on this cool looking technique. I think the hummingbird stole the show!

I really like that move. I already knew how to do it, It looks really neat. I don't remember who I learned it from, but whoever it was, said it was their interpretation of the Tsubame Gaeshi.

That was hilarious. New sub! This guy knows how to have fun.
Thanks for the sub!
Wish I had a sakai katana though😢 anyways nice vid and don't forget the flurry strike and heavenly strike! XD

@@ToruUchikado thank you for the author reply dude hopefully win the Assassin's Creed game comes out it will have some cool combat in it only time will tell thanks for the comments you're awesome keep up the good work dude
Cool trick, and now I know the name! I've done it with a shinken, but only a handful of times. Unfortunately, there's just no power behind the "cut" or "nukitsuké" (draw and cut).
Thanks for the info/demo!
Subbed!
Thank you and welcome aboard!⚔️
Hey, I've done this thousand times with a real katana. It can still cut an opponent, despite how much people think that it was useless in combat or duel. In fact, this technique can still do damage in close combat range. Only true swordsmen will understand. It's still good, NGL.
Im from india❤
I mean...my only complaint is the distinct lack of straight bladed swords to pull this off with lol. Zatoichi is known for doing this with a straight bladed shikomizue...of which there is a very noticeable lack of such types of training or fake swords. It may just be my inexperienced opinion but I think that a curved sword kinda lends itself to this a little better than a straight blade so I find that Zatoichi pulling this off with a cane sword is a bit more impressive than if he was using an actual standard looking katana, it also lends to the surprise factor when he does it so fast and smooth with something his opponents are not expecting.
It's actually called Zatōichi Flash cut
Zato style: zatoichi strike (or) zatoichi flash
Tough!! 😤😤
Zodachi
Does the bamboo sword you use also come on wakezashi size?
Yes although they don't sell it as a set. I've bought a wakizashi version as well!
Awesome. I'll definitely look into it. They don't really have any good stores for that kinda thing here in Vancouver.
Please train me, I am willing to train hard for it but please I want to be your disciple
Wow that's great! are you a trainer? can i meet with you online, maybe learn in person, and consider a friendship with you?
I do not offer any online/in person training at this moment! However, I might be doing more tutorial videos here and there!👌
For Uchikado sama, What is the appropriate pronunciation for Zatoichi; (Za-toy-chi) or (Zato-ichi)? Just curious.
Zatōichi. So more like Zatou-ichi?🤔
@@ToruUchikado Arigato Uchikado sama. 🙏☺️
Seems like you don't get to have much grip during the process. Can you actually cut with this technique? It seems you need yo have insane strength in your fingers to cut like that.
Never tried it, as I consider this just a performance move. I highly doubt I can cut anything thick or durable with this 😅
looks easy but takes years of training
Might take time to do it smoothly but I believe you can learn this in a day if you follow the instructions!🙌🏼
not bad ..... but I do it faster with a real Nhonto katana .... it's faster if your saya opening is at your waist when you draw against your hip.
Also ...using your core and hip to draw with your hand against your waist.
Actually ... I can use this technique in real battle to disarm anyone.
Even if they draw a gun.
So who says you can't use this effectively in real battle... they just aren't training enough and have poor skills.
I can do Kenshin high heaven technique cutting hakama in my sleep.
It all comes down to discipline of training and belief in yourself.
keep the dream alive carrying the torch for others.
