It’s not “macerate”, that’s done back at the manufacturers when it’s being made as alcohol is often the solvent used to blend the ingredients together - it’s “oxidation” that you’re referring to which occurs when you spray it and release the residual alcohol left over from when they bottled it and that allows the oxygen inside the bottle.

@@johnnyamsterdamxxOxidation is part of the maturing/aging process. The main point here is that maceration happens before fragrances ship to retail.
Babycat is 🔥🔥🔥. Vanagloria is the best and closest to Babycat about 95% similar. It came out first and it’s from the same perfumer. If you want a more niche experience. Grab that one

Wait for it to oxidize and mature… I purchased my BabyCat in London back in November 2022 and when I revisited this fall 2023, it had sat for about 10 months since I last wore it and the vanilla and incense were deeper, richer, and even better.
BabyCat makes my cat purrrrrr! I love it!!!!

Finally got my hands on BABYCAT. It’s definitely very good. It’s amazing. My brother-in-law was able to pick up a bottle at the YSL boutique in Paris.
Babycat is fire 🔥. But Vanagloria though..... Surpasses BC by lightyears away. Babycat is designer's Vanagloria. Le Vestiaire collection's gem is Caban to my nose.

I have the clone of this, Nayel Queen by Arabiyat prestige, and I prefer the DNA of this over Tuxedo. it's the resinous warm vanilla, cozy, comforting, and addictive, i'll spray it on every now and then, to enjoy, just around the house.
II get out of the shower, get on my fragrance free body oil, then spray my babycat! The vanilla comes out once it spreads on moisturized skin. I'm a woman, and I ABSOLUTELY LOVE Babycat. It smells like rich, pulled together, money!
Where I am from, Tuxedo and Babycat are easily available at all authorized retailers and at the YSL official site. Babycat is a great scent !

The drydown is almost pure vanilla.. interesting how babycat evolves.
You're explaining exactly what I'm smelling when I spray Paris corner rifaqaat on my skin. The spiciness in the beginning with the peppers and the ginger together with a green note is popping on my skin with the vanilla far away in the background. After 30 min the spiciness goes away and the vanilla+tonka are getting sweeter like a vanilla custard not to sugary/syrupy sweet but just enough sweetness to make you feel cozy and warm. And that warm cozy vanilla combo is lasting for hours.
So I guess rifaqaat is 90% clone for babycat giving your description of the OG.

I own baby cat and to me it’s like a burnt caramelized crème brûlée with spices in the background. I also bought mine from fragrance neveah. Baby Cat is exclusively only in Europe I believe not available in the states and it’s discontinued too.
I live in North Mexico, Nuevo León, it’s in the high end luxury malls here. Just a 2 hour drive from Roma, Texas. It’s around 300 usd

I ordered nayel queen earlier today as you said it was way more smokey than the paris corner fragrance (i love smokey fragrances). Plus, i have hypnotic oud by Arabiyat Prestige and it's beautiful with great quality and longevity, it's like ameer al oud (by the firplace), but way higher quality, no synthetic vibe.
Leather first for me then spice then vanilla & spice! Yours is an Excellent description

Bought a full bottle but it always made me remind of YSL Libre (not sure which flanker, EDP or Libre Intense). Long story short, my babycat now belongs to my fiancé. Tuxedo is still king. Cheers!

My man. You *really* need to get your hands on that "24Rue...". It's the Jewel in my 170+ collection (17 YSL, 9 of them La Vestiares) and you're gonna ball spray all day when you get it. It's freakin' dynamite. You need a trip to Europe to visit some stores 'cos that 24 ain't readily available online. You'll thank me. Hell, even Jah's gonna love it!

Difficult to find. Nah. Just take a trip to Paris. It was in the department stores. Seriously though, my wife loves vanilla and thought a bottle would be coming back with us. She did not like it at all. Interestingly, the sales associate handed her a mouillette sprayed with Tuxedo. Same reaction. I could say that I saved a lot of money, but we then wound up at the Diptyque counter.
Babycat is nice, but it doesn't touch Tuxedo. There are some other great ones in this line of fragrances
