I did watch both parts, but I'm posting a comment with all my thoughts here:
I remember watching your Smash 4 videos, being on Smashboards and GameFAQs before Brawl came out, then watching these videos before Smash 4's reveal. The adrenaline rush I got from Ridley's reveal in Ultimate, after a decade of being called every insult under the sun is a moment I will never forget. I backed out of the community for a while after seeing how intense things got. I still think about new Smash characters for fun, so I'm glad I'm not the only one.
I've always liked some of these ideas (like Takamaru, Sukapon, Lyn, Paper Mario), though I've been a lot more considerate of other aspects of potential newcomers such as the type of game they're from, what role (play style, personality, etc.) they could add to the roster, and if these factors can make characters fun to play as.
I'm torn on Captain Toad because his whole thing is not being able to jump in his game and he'd use items and obstacles to fight. While interesting on paper, it might be clunky to play as because he'd have many limitations, and taking off the backpack would just make him Toad. I really enjoyed Treasure Tracker, so I'd like to see a stage with more music from that game. If Captain Toad were to be in Smash, I could see him being an Assist Trophy more than a Fighter. It'd take a lot of effort to implement him, so I'd rather see Geno, Pauline (who also has a legacy), or another character just to balance out series representation.
Zelda representation is weird because the only truly recurring characters besides Impa are Link, Zelda, and Ganon. It's just they don't distinguish any of them, which is disappointing. Like, Toon Link and BTOW Link could have vastly different movesets from one another. For this reason I'd like to see a proper Ganon (from A Link to the Past and Four Swords Adventure) with a trident and magic, or just re-imagine Ganondorf as he's been the worst example of this. In terms of side characters they're all about the same priority as one another, which is likely why they appear as Assist Trophies. I do think Impa is the most deserving of the side characters, but I think there's some legal barrier using anything Hyrule Warriors in Smash. The Age of Calamity spirits in Ultimate are copyrighted by Koei Techmo, so I guess it's considered a joint ownership between them and Nintendo? It makes me think why they haven't added Hyrule Warriors content in two Smash games now. As much as I want Skull Kid, I think they're gonna go with a new character from Tears of the Kingdom to push modern Zelda games.
I'm mixed on Takamaru. He would stand out for being a traditional samurai, and a modern version of Murasame Castle would look amazing in Smash. Tho, I actually prefer a character like Saki Amamiya from Sin and Punishment. While Takamaru would be really cool to see, I just like Sin and Punishment more as a game compared to The Mysterious Murasame Castle (I've played both), and technically Sin and Punishment is a series of games that also gets regular re-releases. Saki also has a presence in Smash, and there's a lot of options for Sin and Punishment stages and music. Saki would also bring a 90s anime aesthetic, which has been gradually missing from Smash as franchises like Fire Emblem and Xenoblade are appealing to modern anime fans. I'd be ok with picking one over the other, as I think featuring a legacy Japanese character would be cool to see. If anything they should make a new Murasame Castle game.
Metroid is interesting. I remember making a comment saying how franchises are represented in Smash aren't as comparable to one another on Source Gaming's channel, and I'd like to use Metroid as an example. Personally, I think Raven Beak is one of the most deserving characters to be in Smash, and he's more than just a one-off villain. He's connected to Samus' established backstory spanning decades, and everything in the Metroid universe is connected. So even if Raven Beak doesn't appear again, he's integral to Samus' backstory by being an actual Chozo, he appeared as the main villian in the game that reinvented the Metroid series (being the best-selling game as well), and he has a clear moveset to pull from that would make him hype af to play. In cases like Fire Emblem and Pokémon, this point doesn't matter because they have rotating casts per game. The Zelda series in Smash just has Link, Zelda, and Ganon to a fault. Mario gets to do whatever it wants for being the Nintendo IP. Even how to represent franchises in Smash can be a discussion in of itself, and one that'd be good to have.
For Kirby, I don't know if it needs another representative. Part of me doubts Bandana Dee will make it in because he's a bit too predictable. The most you can do besides his spear attacks is give him other copy abilities, but besides that I could see him being an Assist Trophy or a Mii Costume if they're not gonna lean on a ballot or fan polls. I wouldn't be against his inclusion, but they'd have to wow me by basically making a whole Bandana Waddle Dee Fighter Pack, while making either his play style or personality really stand out. I guess it depends on what you value for Newcomer choices.
For Fire Emblem, I feel like you're right about Lyn specifically. I have a gut feeling Lyn would be a hidden character because she's been named the most popular female hero in polls and Fire Emblem Heroes. She also has a legacy of being the first worldwide FE protagonist, so she definitely deserves it.
Sukapon has been a running joke, even in my real life. I voted for Sukapon in the Smash Ballot after I 100%'d Joy Mech Fight six times in 2015, and wanted him thinking they'll notice because I'm a Western fan voting for such an obscure character. When Sukapon was shown as an Assist Trophy, I literally fan-gasamed harder than I did to Ridley, Simon, K. Rool, Banjo, or Sephiroth and people I know (who don't play video games) still meme about it to this day. I wish I recorded it, but I can only describe it as *pure, adult bliss.* The reason I went nuts was because I feel like my vote directly contributed to Sukapon getting in Ultimate. Like, who else voted for Joy Mech Fight on the Smash Ballot?? The other new Assist Trophies were also popular requests, so we know Sakurai was listening during that time. I don't think I'd have the same reaction now that he's already in Smash, but Sukapon getting in as a Fighter would make things come full circle for me.
For third parties they'll probably stick with expanding relationships with third parties since it worked so well in Ultimate. Your breakdown of that was spot on, but I'm worried they'll resell most of the third parties as DLC knowing we'd buy them. Let's hope they don't.
With new third parties I'd rather see Tails and Knuckles. Having the 3 lads in Smash to complete Team Heroes, and they all play differently enough would be amazing to see. Even on their own, Tails and Knuckles are considered popular video game all-stars. Tho, they should also update Sonic's moveset since it especially now feels dated. Shadow wouldn't be be a bad choice, but I'd be disappointed if he was an Echo Fighter after Ultimate. I think Alucard and Zero are in a similar boat, but I agree that Sonic warrants more representation.
To rant about one more character: besides Rayman, the one character I really want is Monster Hunter. It checks all the boxes to be a great Smash character, and I know a lot of hardcore MH fans would get on Smash if they include as many gameplay mechanics from the series as possible. The pool of moves, stages, music, assists, bosses, costumes, etc. are endless. And Capcom just refuses to do it. This is MY new impossible dream pick. I would throw any new third party in the garbage if I could get a MH Fighter, with a stage, 50 music tracks, 100+ spirits/trophies, Assists, Mii Costumes. It'd be so good. Please-
As much as I can go on about this, I'll cut it here. I'm glad to see one of these videos again, and I hope my rants make some sense.

Honestly one I’d the best rosters I’ve seen ngl. I will say that I think some choices like tetra, sukapon, and lyn are more than likely not gonna happen but I certainly wouldn’t be mad if it did. Personally I don’t think they’ll cut roy but I do think either chrom or lucina need to go cause three awakening reps is ridiculous and that many fire emblem characters is already insane.
For cuts I’d say the list should be: dr Mario, pichu, young link, Corrin, chrom, dark pit, terry, piranha plant and possibly incineroar with presumably one more third party character getting cut for legal reasons
All the new additions you listed are great but I do think by the time smash 6 comes out we’ll more than likely need another Splatoon, animal crossing and pikmin rep so octoling (non echo), Tom nook (or some other animal crossing character) and the pikmin 4 protagonist all seem like good bets. And then also by the time smash 6 comes out I feel like pauline will have fully become the new rosalina so I wouldn’t be surprised at all to see her become a new addition. I also don’t see the need for a fourth Xenoblade character at this point unless multiple games come out in between now and the next smash meaning that pyra and mythra will be not be new enough to represent modern xenoblade. Finally I’d say andy from advance wars is a no brainer cause nintendos trying to bring the series back and no better way to do that than to put him in smash. Same goes for isaac from golden sun if they decide to revive the series
I’m haply someone has a brain though and doesn’t think the roster is gonna get cut down to something ridiculous like thirty characters when that’s just logically and financially inane

I believe you kind left some characters that are from new series/ current series in smash and have the potential that your didn't mention. I did watch both parts. (1/2)
Ring fit trainer- the ring fit trainer is likely going be in the next smash game and could be likely replace the wii fit trainer in the base game. plus ring fit adventure did so well during launch and lockdown it became one of the top best selling switch games. plus there so much potential come to moveset if you play ring fit adventure.
akira from astral chain- astral chain was a hit for both platinum games and nintendo. astral chain is the new series that is gonna be likely in smash bros because their moveset and concept of the game in general. plus astral chain is also going get a sequel for the next nintendo system since nintendo fully own the ip and platinum say there planing do 2 more games in the astral chain world. that I believe nintendo give platinum the wonderful 101 ip for exchange for astral chain ip.
this next one is a third party is an koei tecmo/ team ninja rep. they did so much with nintendo during wii, wii u and switch era. they help develop other m, they co-develop fire emblem 3 house, they develop marvel ultimate alliance 3 for nintendo and marvel. they made the zelda/ fire emblems warriors games became their best selling warriors games to date. they did so much with nintendo so far it a far chance they get their reps in smash in the base game and ryu hayabusa is likely their rep in smash bros. I don't see crash happening until the dlc comes and if the Microsoft activision buyout go through that will be his only chance. because the whole lawsuit with activision right now it kind of not a good time to added crash back in ultimate.
