I had all 4 of mine removed in grade 12..12 years ago. Yesterday I just had another molar removed after dealing with fillings and pain, the filling falling out. I was so nervous because I was awake for it but thankfully didn't feel a thing with the freezing.
Currently watching about 12 hours after I got my wisdom teeth out... I'm starting to feel stuff.. but it's not bad yet. Edit: end of day 2.. it's been about 39 hours sence the surgery.. I was expecting today to be worse than day one, but swelling is less than yesterday, pain is just slightly increased.. I ate a lot of mash potatoes today. Can't wait for day 3. Edit; day three it's been about 64 hours since the surgery ... I slept a lot today, and didn't eat as much as yesterday.. my anti inflammatory meds made my eyes sting, so recovery might be a little longer bc I'm off that idk.. I have sick stomach prob bc of the antibiotics which makes me less motivated to eat.. tmr is my last full day of recovery before college starts.. Kinda scared I'm not going to be well enough by Tues afternoon.. but looking forward to another day Edit: day 4... 87 hours after the surgery.. man having a sick stomach is not fun... with me not eating as much I've lost about 4.5 lbs since the surgery, I was just barely with in the health weight for my BMI but now I'm deff underweight, and I'm sure this will affect healing time, but with the sick stomach I'm just so unmotivated to eat.. The pain was low enough that I didn't take any pain pills today... there was some oozing of blood out of the bottle left sight ... I have a college class tmr afternoon hopefully I'll be strong enough to go... I am getting pretty good at Gymnopedie no 1 tho... swelling was a little less today.. hopefully tmr it's going to be significantly reduced bc I barely close my mouth all the way bc of the swelling Edit: end of day 5... about 147 hours sence the surgery.. swelling is dramatically reducing by day day.. my left side is way less swollen then my right.. I made to college and survived but it wasn't fun and was hard to stay focussed deff bc of me not eating much but I lived I've lost some more weight. Before the surgery I was about 140 lbs.. rn I am 131 lbs.. loosing this much weight is not good and I need to start eating real food again soon.. all I've had today was about one and a half carton of yoghurt.. I still have a sick stomach, but it's not as bad as it was yesterday... this morning I had to use a syringe to squirt warm water onto the surgery sight... my left side extraction sights have been ,up until today, barely hurt at all ( at least compared to my right side) but today when I would swallow my left side would hurt but it would hurt in a different spot than the surgery location.. I wonder if I have a damaged nerve that is shifting pain to a different part of my mouth... over all not a bad day but with the less weight I'm colder and it's just another thing adding to the over all displeasure I'm in rn... can't wait for tomorrow, I just hope I don't go much below 130 lbs. tmr I have another afternoon class for college I think I'll be fine but idk it will be harder stuff and more hand on lab stuff so idk Edit: day 6... about 173 hours since the surgery.. I gained about 3 lbs today which I'm super happy about I'm not about 133.5 lbs now.... today the swelling was about the same in the morning compared to the night before, but about half way through the day the swelling dramatically reduced... I still only ate yoghurt today but I think that tomorrow I will be feeling up to eat some macaroni... I had a good time at college and had plenty of energy for that today.... tomrow I think that I will go get my glasses readjusted because they keep falling off my face which is really annoying.... I'm itching a lot all over my body, and I think that it could be because I haven't showered in a week soo... but it also might be allergic to something idk.. Though I doubt it bc I'm hardly "allergic" like that for anything... I haven't learned any more of gymopyode no1 tmr I'll try to tho... tn was also the first night I kinda brushed my teeth.. wasn't very through tho ....I'm still having weird pain in my mouth in spots I don't think I should, but ither the pain has gotten less or I'm more tolerate of the pain.. lol prob both... excited for tmr I hope I don't damage anything tmr eating my real food... :) Edit: day seven 195 hours since the sugary... today was good. I had veary minimal pain today, and about 90% of the swelling is gone.. I still weight 133 lbs which is good...I had some solid food for the first time in like a week.. I had a fish fillet and some just plain macaroni which tasted AMAZING yk after a week of eating yogurt... it deff felt weird tho and wasn't exactly pain free... I think the day to day healing improvement from here on out will be smaller per day than what they were this past week but I can't wait to get back to fully normal... the weird pain shift in my mouth is almost non-existent and doesn't rly bother me much... I can't wait for tmr! Edit: day 8... 221 hours since the surgery... today was amazing.. being able to really eat real food for all of my meals was truly invigorating! I'm still not all better I still have some swelling it's mostly gone but there is still some.. the food that I ate today I didn't really chew very well bc I can't use my molars which is very awkward, and was just chewed enough to swallow... I still have stitches In my mouth.. which is quite strange... I weight 133 lbs abt the same as the past few days which is with in the normal BMI but I still feel a little underweight... the pain I felt today was dramatically reduced from yesterday.. my mouth feels normal with like no pain unless I disturb it, like eat or something, but just resting it feels normal.. oh and that weird pain shift, I haven't felt today.. maybe my nerve healed up ide but what I do know is ik excited for tomorrow, and what food I'm going to eat! Edit: day 9... 227 hours since the sugary... today was good, and the pain is nonexistent, and I feel completely normal when I'm not eating... There is still pain when I eat, and so I can't out use my back molars and so eating take a long time... I weigh 132 lbs it's down a little bit I'm about to eat so that will go up a little.. still for concerned with how little I weigh but I'm still in the "normal" BMI so I can't be too bad... there is still some swelling but it is quite little, I also still have some bruises on my jaw that are their but not bad a all.. I didn't practice my song today maybe tomorrow I will... I need to spend less time on my phone..... not tomrow, but the day after that I have a college class in the afternoon, and I'm looking forward to that.... I ran out of yogurt today... tomorrow I need to get some more... over all a pretty good day, and I'm still impressed how fast I'm continuing to heal and I'm looking forward to how I'll be tomorrow! Edit: day 10... 260 hrs the sugary... I'm feeling amazing I've had no pain at all today even when eating, granted I'm still eating yogurt and noodles but I still think that's amazing! I'm still at 133.. my feet/ legs are still cold at times and I deff still need to gain weight but I'm pretty stable where I'm at.. I just can't wait to actually be able to eat real food again in a timely Manor... I have college tomorrow and my sleep schedule is kinda wack so I might be a little tired for that but deff do able... I kind of think some of my stitches are starting to dissolve bc I can feel something in my mouth/ on my teeth that is not normal so that's good.... anyway I got to get to bed but I'm looking forward to tomorrow.. and at this rate I think I'll be pretty well done recovering by the end of this week... I did have some time to practice gymopedoy no 1 today!. .. gn Edit: day 11.. abt 290 hours since the sugary... feeling amazing, but the stitches still haven't dissolved yet so I have pain when I'm talking vigorously or eating... my mouth hurts when I move my jaw side to side but not up and down... and yah with eating the extraction site is still hurts esp where thoes stitches are..... College was good today, I didn't play gymopeody no1 today, and I'll prob not learn any more of it yk just maintaining what I alr know.... I weight 131.6 lbs.. I skipped a meal today bc I ran out of yogurt.. not good at all hopefully I'll get some more tmr.... over all pretty good but def not done healing yet.. I still have plenty to go but hopefully in another week or so I'll be fully done, but Idk maby sooner than that... can't wait to see where I'll be in terms of healing tmr! Edit: day 12.... 317 hrs after the sugary... today was a good day not much pain... but still not eating much "real" food most of my diet is still yogurt, but I did have a little salmon today which tasted rly good... I still have these stitches in my mouth that I think are the cause for most of my pain bc they tug on the excretion site but Ik there for a reason... I just wish they would dissolve faster.... I have college tmr which shouldn't be an issue but still something I have to think about... I just want to be finished with this whole thing so I can go back to a normal schedule... I keep going to bed later and later..... I currently weigh 132 lbs.. down a little, not good but I'm still in a "healthy". BMI but I sure feel like I need to weigh more.....I can't wait for tmr... hopefully some stitches will be more dissolved tmr. Anyway I got to get to bed for class tmr afternoon.. but over all I had a good day! Edit: day 13... 336 hrs since the sugary... I had a good day at school, and I fixed my a/c which is nice! Today I haven't had any pain... still not eating anything besides yogurt for my main source of food.. I didn't eat any solid food today, I weigh 134 lbs which is good and I'm glad it's going up,... I just can't wait till I'm all back to normal .... I gota get up early to work on my car for open lab tmr at 8am so I got to get to bed, but I think that my mouth is really close to being done, but there are still stitches that haven't dissolved so I'm. Sorry ya had to go through that buddy! When I had my wisdom teeth out, I only had two teeth removed on one side and healed up in just 3 weeks! I also didn’t even get put under, I requested a local anesthetic and was awake through the entire surgery, it was pretty cool to see them work! Im not insane I swear ;)
Ryan, I am embarrassed to tell you that I laughed out loud when you were trying to talk with the gauze in your mouth. Definitely no disrespect there! I’m a 63 year old grandma, and it was a long, long time ago that I had my wisdom teeth removed. The worst impacted one had to be cut into seven pieces to get it out, so I definitely had sympathy for your predicament, I just forgot how bad it was! As a dentist, thanks for the video. It’s good for people to know that peak swelling occurs at 72hrs (3days) so it’s good for people to know that this is a normal response

I’m getting mine removed at 13, it’s not the actual surgery that I’m scared about it’s the sedation, I’ll be fully knocked out. I have gotten a tooth removed I just have never been sedated from anesthesia.
@@brixflixstudios9151don’t worry, I just got mine pulled yesterday afternoon there’s nothing to be nervous about. The IV needle will pinch for 2-3 seconds but after that they’ll ask you to bite down on a Device that’ll keep your mouth open then after that you’ll be sleep

I got a test done one time where I had to go under anesthesia and the nurses were complimenting my boots then I woke up with my mom trying to get me into a wheelchair to go to the car lol!
I just had a back tooth removed BUT it was under local so heard the cracking noises etc. The pain, swelling, yeah can identify though post 'op', I had to clamp my jaw shut to stem the bleeding... Couldn't talk. Just mumbled. Had 'lockjaw' by the time I got home after 2 hours on buses and it still bled when I removed the plug!! More lockjaw. This vid was funny though as are all Ryan's vids. He entertains us whatever's going on. Hope you're recovering as well. 4 out at once. That is brutal.

man, this brings me back. i feel you, had to get four of my wisdom teeth AND four pre-molars extracted on the same day for braces. it nearly took me out and im not even exaggerating. if you can survive the pain of multiple teeth pullings, you can survive anything. day three was definitely the worst in terms of swelling and pain… while i consisted on a diet of soft food for basically a month until i slowly healed up 😭. glad you got through it with the help of your wife!!!

I weigh 132 lbs it's down a little bit I'm about to eat so that will go up a little.. still for concerned with how little I weigh but I'm still in the "normal" BMI so I can't be too bad... there is still some swelling but it is quite little, I also still have some bruises on my jaw that are their but not bad a all.. I didn't practice my song today maybe tomorrow I will... I need to spend less time on my phone..... not tomrow, but the day after that I have a college class in the afternoon, and I'm looking forward to that.... I ran out of yogurt today... tomorrow I need to get some more... over all a pretty good day, and I'm still impressed how fast I'm continuing to heal and I'm looking forward to how I'll be tomorrow!
Edit: day 10... 260 hrs the sugary... I'm feeling amazing I've had no pain at all today even when eating, granted I'm still eating yogurt and noodles but I still think that's amazing! I'm still at 133.. my feet/ legs are still cold at times and I deff still need to gain weight but I'm pretty stable where I'm at.. I just can't wait to actually be able to eat real food again in a timely Manor... I have college tomorrow and my sleep schedule is kinda wack so I might be a little tired for that but deff do able... I kind of think some of my stitches are starting to dissolve bc I can feel something in my mouth/ on my teeth that is not normal so that's good.... anyway I got to get to bed but I'm looking forward to tomorrow.. and at this rate I think I'll be pretty well done recovering by the end of this week... I did have some time to practice gymopedoy no 1 today!. .. gn
Edit: day 11.. abt 290 hours since the sugary... feeling amazing, but the stitches still haven't dissolved yet so I have pain when I'm talking vigorously or eating... my mouth hurts when I move my jaw side to side but not up and down... and yah with eating the extraction site is still hurts esp where thoes stitches are..... College was good today, I didn't play gymopeody no1 today, and I'll prob not learn any more of it yk just maintaining what I alr know.... I weight 131.6 lbs.. I skipped a meal today bc I ran out of yogurt.. not good at all hopefully I'll get some more tmr.... over all pretty good but def not done healing yet.. I still have plenty to go but hopefully in another week or so I'll be fully done, but Idk maby sooner than that... can't wait to see where I'll be in terms of healing tmr!
Edit: day 12.... 317 hrs after the sugary... today was a good day not much pain... but still not eating much "real" food most of my diet is still yogurt, but I did have a little salmon today which tasted rly good... I still have these stitches in my mouth that I think are the cause for most of my pain bc they tug on the excretion site but Ik there for a reason... I just wish they would dissolve faster.... I have college tmr which shouldn't be an issue but still something I have to think about... I just want to be finished with this whole thing so I can go back to a normal schedule... I keep going to bed later and later..... I currently weigh 132 lbs.. down a little, not good but I'm still in a "healthy". BMI but I sure feel like I need to weigh more.....I can't wait for tmr... hopefully some stitches will be more dissolved tmr. Edit: day 13... 336 hrs since the sugary... I had a good day at school, and I fixed my a/c which is nice! Today I haven't had any pain... still not eating anything besides yogurt for my main source of food.. I didn't eat any solid food today, I weigh 134 lbs which is good and I'm glad it's going up,... I just can't wait till I'm all back to normal .... I gota get up early to work on my car for open lab tmr at 8am so I got to get to bed, but I think that my mouth is really close to being done, but there are still stitches that haven't dissolved so I'm. Not all done yet.... tmr it will be 2 weeks sence the

Sorry ya had to go through that buddy! When I had my wisdom teeth out, I only had two teeth removed on one side and healed up in just 3 weeks! I also didn’t even get put under, I requested a local anesthetic and was awake through the entire surgery, it was pretty cool to see them work! Im not insane I swear ;)

Ryan, I am embarrassed to tell you that I laughed out loud when you were trying to talk with the gauze in your mouth. Definitely no disrespect there! I’m a 63 year old grandma, and it was a long, long time ago that I had my wisdom teeth removed. The worst impacted one had to be cut into seven pieces to get it out, so I definitely had sympathy for your predicament, I just forgot how bad it was! I’m getting mine removed at 13, it’s not the actual surgery that I’m scared about it’s the sedation, I’ll be fully knocked out. I have gotten a tooth removed I just have never been sedated from anesthesia.
@@brixflixstudios9151don’t worry, I just got mine pulled yesterday afternoon there’s nothing to be nervous about. The IV needle will pinch for 2-3 seconds but after that they’ll ask you to bite down on a Device that’ll keep your mouth open then after that you’ll be sleep

@@brixflixstudios9151In my opinion, the anesthesia isn’t bad you basically are talking then in what feels like a few seconds you’re awake! I got a test done one time where I had to go under anesthesia and the nurses were complimenting my boots then I woke up with my mom trying to get me into a wheelchair to go to the car lol!

I just had a back tooth removed BUT it was under local so heard the cracking noises etc. The pain, swelling, yeah can identify though post 'op', I had to clamp my jaw shut to stem the bleeding... Couldn't talk. Just mumbled. Had 'lockjaw' by the time I got home after 2 hours on buses and it still bled when I removed the plug!! More lockjaw. This vid was funny though as are all Ryan's vids. He entertains us whatever's going on. Hope you're recovering as well. 4 out at once. That is brutal.

man, this brings me back. i feel you, had to get four of my wisdom teeth AND four pre-molars extracted on the same day for braces. it nearly took me out and im not even exaggerating. if you can survive the pain of multiple teeth pullings, you can survive anything. day three was definitely the worst in terms of swelling and pain… while i consisted on a diet of soft food for basically a month until i slowly healed up 😭. glad you got through it with the help of your wife!!!
