IIts 11/20/23, I still watch and rewatch anything with Greg in it, I still miss him so. Such a beautiful man with a wounded soul. A light went out in this world when he died. The world is a sadder & darker place without him. I’m a woman in my 60’s & I’ve loved Gregg Lenoir Allman since I was a senior in high school, which was 1973 . I am happy he is finally at peace , reunited with Duane, his Dad ,and his Mom .
Love it! The road goes on forever 🎶
Best Band Ever!!!!! Their music has stood the test of time, Proof!!
I have them even up with the original lynyrd skynyrd with Ronnie van Zant and would also say Ronnie and Gregg are without a doubt the 2 best songwriters I've ever known and I also have duane and Steve gains neck and neck . Both have know so much tragedy as well and it saddens me when I look back at the good times listening to Gregg whale out some blues and Ronnie kick out some on the hunt . Truly the allmans and skynyrd are to me are southern rock . The outlaws ain't nothing to shine either lol ! Southern Rock RULES !
Greatest American band in history
Gregg Allman is a National Treasure ❣️
There'll never be another Duane Allman. Others maybe good but he was and always will be the best. Wail on Skydog!!
Right On Sister !!!
Well said.
Duane was a one and only.
The interview was great but I loved watching the clip. Gregg sounding so crisp & clear 😎
One of my favs also. Thanks for watching. take care be safe : )
There wasn't a party I went to in the 70's that didn't eventually end up playing all of the Fillmore East album.
Love it
Rest In Peace , Gregg - hard to believe this was 26 years ago , I was firmly entrenched in everything were doing since the 1989 reunion tour (which I saw in Jacksonville that Summer). 7 Turns , Shades Of Two Worlds were both very good albums & you could hear a fresh , new excitement in the band ...it was a really good time to witness it all from a die hard fan's perspective . Just sad to hear of Gregg's passing ...... I guess we all know , deep down, that they can't live forever , yet they are somehow etched into our minds as "forever young " via celluloid & media ........ rest in peace, Gregg ...... thanks for the music .....
Indeed...a great loss and, as sad as I still am, I am happy that they left us a huge body of music to listen to...that they never did a song the same way twice and that I was around to see them several times...anytime I could. From the time I was a child...I'd 'borrow' a little money from Mom or Dad and pay the babysitter to take me to a show....
wow what a fabulous interview Gregg looks so young. look at Warren omg. I love that 22 years ago.. Wow how life goes on .
Gregg Allman’s biography is terrific and quite a surprise.
Gregg is so handsome here!!!!❤💝✝️🙏RIP
Shades of Two Worlds is pretty much a masterwork. Brilliant record.
Great clip and interview! Thanks so much for posting, it's always great to see new video of the band with Duane. : )
That video from Love Valley in NC has been around seemingly forever. Some of it was taken down. Kirk West had a project to get the audio and video synced so it could be released. Hurdles everywhere. I hope some day to see it completed.
BEST F_CKING BAND EVER! EVER!!!
Dam Gregg looks great, this is the best I've ever seen or heard of Gregg, Wow!!! & Warren as well!!
Cool.... Thx for sharing!
lots of nose sniffing tho
@Eva Ivy lol, I'm watching this again
Still can't get over how good Gregg looks here . Out of all the interviews I've watched & I've watched a shit load, from early to late Gregg looks and sounds so dam good. Rip brothers 🌈🍄
Gregg looks good and he's coherent, and spontaneous
Let me say first i LOVE the Allman Brothers!!! BUT, Greg is wasted in this clip!!!!
Don't think he was wasted this was around the time he got clean i think.
@@sharonstark5442 He is basically a shy person, his words. I think he was just taking his time.
This was in 1991, four years before Gregg successfully got clean. I believe at this point he was trying to ease himself off of his addictions though. But yeah, I think in this particular video he seems sober.
What a great interview thanks for uploading this just listened to southern blood cd. Incredible! My only true friend is so haunting and beautiful.
Glad you enjoyed it...cheers!
So I saw the Brothers 2nd or 3rd show after they got back together. Radio City in NYC. Warren was practically unknown and was walking the crowd before the show. We spoke with him. Just a regular guy. Appreciate that he did that. Same for Oteil Burbridge when he joined. He walked the crowd in Cleveland at the outdoor venue on the west side of the river and flats. Another regular guy just talking to we audience guys who arrived early for the show.
This is the only interview with Greg I have ever seen worth a damn! Greg looks so great! He's totally lucid and not sounding like a buzzed hick. It helps that the interviewer is hip and real. The other guys are into it as well. Jamie never be talks but that's cool. Gregg really dug Allen Woody the bassist. I just can't get over how good Gregg Allman looks here. He could of been like this all the time. We all have our own demons now don't we? I never had so many people probng me up though musically and personally. But I am always flexcuses so excusee while I kiss the sky.
Best comment by an interviewer ever: "...And also, You can play..." Nicely done, sir!
That was good!!
When Much Music was good and actually played music. Canadian music station from Toronto now called Much which plays old sitcoms. Michael Williams the host. And a great interviewer .. Brings back memories here
Do a keyword search on CZcams: Allman Brothers Love Valley and you'll see over half an hour of live performance that this interview contains only a few snippets of. Fantastic!
Very cool! Warren & Woody really ignited this band. They burned hot for 23 years since this interview!
Saw Johnny with Blue Floyd once, he's great. And Warren looks great here, I worry about him and his weight. Always good to see Woody, too. They say he was the most talented bassist and funniest guy ever in the ABB. Saw Warren and Woodrow in Gov't Mule in the late '90s in Los Angeles. Amazing show. And WOW, Savannah pre porn at 8:22. Just finished Greggory's book, ya gotta read it!
I am from L.A. and I saw thAT SHOW TOO. Late 90's....time goes so fast, next thing I remember is seeing him Gregg with band in a small, small venue right across the I70 FFW overpass from Cinci, and into KY. It was amazing, saw Leon Russell there too. Time goes bye bye and flew home from Ohio to L,A, 9.9.2001...then, 9/11 would change the world forever....
The greatest ever 😂😂😂
Elijah blue looks just like him at this point in greggs life. Wow.
Gregg was at the beginning of his older looking self in this video. He was such a cutie.
44
Reese Daniel ..oh he was so gorgeous !
He was gorgeous.
Much love
This is a studio version of S.B. recorded in 1969. It was considered but did not make the cut for their first album. Don't know whose idea that was. THANKS FOR THE POST 1i1feat.
Actually this studio version of S. B. was recorded in Macon in 1970, not 1969, and considered for the second album, not the first album.
I can’t find a Shades Of Two Worlds CD anywhere and man I NEED a new one!
This was in Toronto, I saw the show that night, smok'n
I would tell him "your daughter is awesome!" Funny, music couldn't be more different, but I'm a big fan. 2nd album coming this year! (Picture Me Broken)
Geez - would someone tell Jaimoe to stop dominating the conversation and let someone else talk? LOL.
@1i1feat Terrific, Thanks. : ) Very much appreciated. : )
Cool cat
Did I see Dickey hug his daughter Jessica in the film clip?
Outtake of SBs version that did not make it onto first studio album 1969
Shit, I forgot I even uploaded this. So many of my uploads since 2006 have been removed, only to turn up on other channels........ Cheers!!
@screeningmimi Thanks!! there's more, I'll post it soon.
7 years ago...You have captured one of the best interview, short and full of information. Are you still uploading? If not, please start again. If so, I am subscribing, so don't forget to notify me. This is a little bit of history now...Thank you very much. Plus, your choice of song and the video are fantastic. All in all, excellent. I want more, please.
the allmans rule thans for the up9load
No Dickie?!.... sign of things to come.
This band wouldn't have made it without Mr. BETTS!
Was that Dickey looking in the widow at 1:56?
Keith Richards
If only I could find someplace to liquidate my furniture
NICE JOB SAVING HISTORY BIL !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I think i saw this interview live back in the day. A young (er) Warren Haynes, "if you say anything negative I will remove it.....**** Why?
there's enough negativity out there, do not infect classic music with it..
Dickie’s the man! 🤩
@stonedrocker666 Yes
Yes he is, but that's Alan Woody on the end here. I think Johnny had left/been let go by this time.
Where's trucks?
I have posted more from this interview but CZcams won't let it be played in some countries!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@CadillacL And, also not in this paricular clip! ;)
My favorite song of theirs. This recording doesn't do Duane's guitar sound justice ! Nice 2 C Duane with that signature mustache again...
I miss Woody so much to this day
Yeah Oteil is pretty amazing too and a really good dude
is johnny neel blind?
Woody
