I've hear of hand modeling before. With a celebrity, it might take too long for them to get ready for the photo shoot so they'll have a hand model come in and stand behind the celebrity (like she mentioned, contortioning) and hold the product near the face.

I have always been told that I should be a hand model but I have always been too unladylike. My hands are always full of splinters, paint, and garden dirt. plus after hearing her they are probably too knuckly.
