He has a mic in his mask, and you can hear that it's actually him singing because a sound is sometimes a bit muffled by the mask, it's more obvious live. Awesome song! Edit: having bandmembers who can sing came in handy at Hellfest 2019; Joakim lost his voice, and they didn't want to cancel, so he sang 3 songs and then Tommy and Chris took over and finished the show. They did a fantastic job!
This song actually has a funny story to it, regarding it's release. When Sabaton made it, they contacted Russian singer/artist Radio Tapoc, and give him the song, to translate into russian, and release it, 3 days before they released their version. You should check his version. It's actually really good .. And I don't even speak Russian :) Either you can check his own version, or you can check the live version from Moskva when they toured a few years back. Sabaton performed this song, but "forgot" to tell the crowd they had invited Radio Tapoc to join, and sing it in Russian .. The roar from the crowd when he starts singing. Blows your mind.
as someone working with a mask regularly I can testify that masks can be bought with a mic to be used with radio... not stage quality but should be simple to switch to better quality. yhen removing valves and content inside filter cartridge should make the mask singing possible
Thank you for another great reaction. One of the reasons Sabaton (and most other bands) choreograph their shows is the use of pyro. The last thing you want is to move too near the flames (although there is a technician who would prevent the activation if someone was too close. One song you will almost certainly hear is "To Hell and Back" which they us to close the concert. Joakim has said this is one of his favorite songs and tells the story of Audi Murphy, the most decorated American soldier in WWII. I recommend watching the music video as it gives more information on Murphy, particularly his battle against PTSD. Be sure to watch to the end.
Just saw them Saturday. Was amazing. If you haven’t listened to Swedish Pageants yet, do that. The singer hates singing it, but it’s a fan favorite so they sing it, and even make fun of him for it. During this song a large group(I also joined in) sat down on the floor and started rowing a boat like the Vikings did. Was quite the sight 😂
It, s time for you to react to Tommy Johansson The leadguitarist in Sabaton He have his own youtubechannel with a lot of amacing cowers and own stuff His Disneyton is cracy The lyric from a Sabatonsong with the music from a Disneysong He gonna blow you away with his amacing voice
Tommy is incredibly talented, best to start with his cover of Phantom of the Opera (he sings both roles himself!) or Who Wants to Live forever by Queen
You would be surprised how many bands choreograph their shows. I have a followed a few tours and you can definately see there are spots when one person goes here the other there, swop places etc ... it's planned out in detail.
This was an actual event The Attack of the Dead Men was a battle of World War I that took place at Osowiec Fortress (now northeastern Poland), on August 6, 1915. The incident got its name from the bloodied, zombie-like appearance of the Russian combatants after they were bombarded with a mixture of poison gases, chlorine and bromine, by the Germans.
How he sings!? With great difficulty 😁 Saw a interview where they explaind it, in short it was very difficult to make it work. They didnt want to use a playback.
Some great break down and points of perspective here on this great song and band Anastasia! Very fun! Did you know the show you are going to is the last one for Epica and Sabaton's USA tour!! Cincinnati here is just 10 days away!!
Another band that has a great stage routine is Helloween. Take a look at the song Halloween, how they switch the emphasis on the band members again and again while also playing on the animations in the screen behind. czcams.com/video/VAVeG4KS0JM/video.html As for the singing, well it's gotta be heard to be believed!
czcams.com/video/nl9cpuXXx8Y/video.html The Russian singing in the concert is pretty famous author of cover versions. He has a CZcams channel Radio Tapok (his nickname) And there is a nice music video of the Russian cover version of this song. The cover version was released one day before the album. And it did not end there: Sabaton made a cover version of his song. Well he admitted that he wrote it in the style of Sabaton, nevertheless. The only problem for a foreigner may be the fact, that he also localizes lyrics and is actually very good at it. However Russian language is grammatically different from the English.
Hope you find the full setlist - the one I found had 10 Epica songs only, and I Sabaton 18 (including encores) no-one can stand that long, but once more a warning NO HIGH HEELS dear!
The mike in the the mask was allegedly a nightmare to get working. The story is horrific, you are dying of chlorine gas. still fight, even though you know you dead shortly anyway.
Great band and great reaction again Anastasia Did you know that the guitarist Tommy Johansson is quite an amazing singer too. Maybe you would like to check him out czcams.com/video/PrvOwfiderk/video.html he's done quite many amazing covers on his channel.

Interviewer: so how devoted are you as a singer to give people an experience?
Joakim: yes.
I was actually in the audience for this performance.
Amaranthe and Apocalyptica were the two bands they were touring with when they did this show.

They had a concert in St. Petersburg with Radio Tapok who translated the song in Russian, Sabaton brought him on as a surprise guest
I saw that!!!

Thanks from sweden on your reaction on Sabaton 😍
Thank you for Sabaton
This is a great song!!! I’d like to see you to react to Primo Victoria, The Unkillable Soldier, and Soldier of Heaven
Chlorine & Bromine: "Omae wa mou shindeiru."
100 Russians: "Nyet."
7000 Germans: "NANI?!"

It's epic and so funny 😏

Especially if the band uses pyro or other special effects on stage. You don't want to stand in the wrong spot when those goes off. 🤯💥

Every song they have is based on actual event.
Yeah I remember studying it in school 🇷🇺
