As an Albertan via Montreal (born and raised) my family back east felt free to always make fun of us……however none of them knew what transfer payments were. @That_Guy_Eh define fascist by using examples. I know how it is defined in a dictionary but that is incorrect. In 30-40's Italy, there was a leader that called himself fascist. He said it was the marriage of business and government. Because their big business was involved, they incorrectly called it a right wing thing. Yet it only manifests when it is big business and leftist governments. Trudeau just gave the owners of a new EV battery plant over $1 million dollars per job that will be going to the "experts" Honda ships over to work those jobs. He tries to pass bills that if anyone posts anything negative about the government, including past posts, that person can be arrested. It goes further that the language is so vague they can arrest a person even if the suspect they may do something. Just so it is understood, if the conservative government is in power, a post calling them fascist could get a person jail time. This is just one of the rules Trudeau is trying to pass. That is true fascism and big tech will happily flag and turn the poster into the government.so what is a fascist?

Politicians east of Saskatchewan hesitate to take on Danielle Smith. She is Alberta born and raised and there is no one who understands how badly the federal government has treated Alberta,in the past and especially in the present. The feds know how important an economic value Albertans input to the country so desperately want to control it. Trudeau just like his father attempted to put policy in place to take control of Alberta from Alberta Premiers. When he realized he was no match for Danielle, he sicked his attack dogs like Freeland, and Guilbeault who also limped away licking their wounds. His latest attempt is to attack from within setting up Calgary’s ex mayor Nenshi to make a go of it through the leadership of the provincial NDP. Politically, Trudeau totally lacks leadership skills when it comes to uniting the country. Danielle will never cooperate with him because she cannot trust him. He displays no integrity, no honesty and no good will period.

Prentice was far too arrogant and incapable of listening. Smith should never have fallen for the inducement to cross the floor, which led to the disastrous No Democracy Party victory. Four years of socialism set the province back twenty years, and planted socialist seeds in Calgary and Edmonton that may never be eradicated. But Smith, unlike Stelmach (Mr. Personality), Redford (Ms. Pinch), and Kennedy (Mr. Fed), seems to have learned. She has the balls all of those predecessors lacked. I hope she sticks around for at least one more term, barring a Notley-like sellout to the federal conservatives under Poilievre.
