I had no clue how to install these springs and they didn’t come with instructions. This video was a lifesaver!

Instructions were awesome and helped me out. It was a lot easier for me to remove the entire shock. Could also be because my springs were shot. Thanks for the video 👍🏻

10 minute video. Actually took me 2 hours. Removed thru access door on back. Had to take the reverse facing seat/bed off first. The top bolts on the shocks were almost frozen on. Never could get the screwdriver trick to work to get it apart. Used a grinder with a cut off wheel. Worked much better. Fell of the stands. Much more stable to keep on the floor jack.

The easiest way to change the shocks with the body still on, is to remove the tire and the inner fender well on the side you're working on. By doing this you can see the complete shock and have full access to it. The reason we did it with the rear body off was so that people could actually see what I was doing and lighting for the camera.

Not a problem. We have a couple more videos on the drive coming up tonight and then we start our next build. If you need the springs we shot in this video please give us a call. It takes a lot of time and money putting these things together and we would appreciate the support. Have a great night.

You should do more videos for the g16... i know they are similar but it would be nice to have g16 specific videos

Hi Barry, Love your videos. I have a G19 1997. The cart sways and pitches when driving, especially at high speeds. I just replaced the motor with an 8hp D&D. I cannot decide if I should replace the shocks with OEM shocks, or upgrade the old ones with HD springs, or both replace and add HD shocks. I use the cart for golf and street driving to/from the course. Capacity is 2 persons. Any advice? Thanks

I added these springs, but still getting steering sway when driving over say 20mph. Do you know of any sway bar addition or fix for the G29?

I been looking at springs and am going cross-eyed. I have a 2017 yamaha drive 2 is there a difference in spring lengths between drive and drive 2? Drive has been around forever but not druve 2 and can find boat loads of partsfor drive some cheaper with great reviews if spring lengths are same it could save me alot of money lol.

I have a 2007 Electric Drive. Rear seat is already on. Can the springs be changed from below or do I have to remove the seat? :(

Can this be done without removing the whole cover from the frame? If so, do you have a video to demo how to remove the shell? I have the rear Mad Jax seat installed and would hate to have to remove it all lol

      @diygolfcart  Před 8 lety +3

+Chad Steffen Yes, I remove the rear body so that everyone can see what I'm doing. I can do another video showing how to remove the rear body the next time I get a Yamaha Drive in. But, you can go to www.yamahagolfcar.com and see the complete break down

I just took the tires off and the inside liners .
Jacked it up put stands under frame.
Then jacked it up on the side I was removing.
Took pressure off the bolts .
      Removed .
Cut the spring and put in trash .
      Cleaned and repainted everything.
      Reinstalled .
