@@PinkPanther4958 great I'm a straight man and I don't find it offensive when a gay comedian makes jokes about straight men I don't find it offensive when female comedians make jokes about men or when black or Asian comedians make jokes about whites I believe the clue to my attitude is in the word "joke" it means it isn't a serious statement and not meant to be taken literally
She's wonderfully talented, and specifically for this kind of "sketch comedy", but there's also some brilliant writing. And the cocnepts..."What if a rough working class Irish family had their son come out and a) they subvert expectations by having them just accept and support him right away and b) Their "acceptance and support" is more horrifying than rage and denial would have been. Right clever, that.

I'm lucky being Australian, maybe I've been exposed to more of the accents. Also I read "Trainspotting" as a teenager and all the dialogue is written phonetically. Once I wrapped my head around that many of the thicker accents from the British isles are easier to understand.
