    dude.. I initially thought that cabinet was overkill and boy was I wrong... that's a kick ass design you came up with there. Good job, I'll remember you when I steal it to make my own :)

    The bottom middle clap down, doesn't it gets in your way if you need to make a smaller part?

      There are two screws that can be loosened and it can then be moved into any position.

    Jason--thanks for posting, great job. I actually just picked up a router crafter today. May I ask--if you are just "rounding" your stock do you hook up the router carriage to the cable?

    • @jasonyoung7782
      @jasonyoung7782  Před 5 lety +1

      I round it off in a wood lathe before using the router-carver.You have to hook up he router carriage to the cable, either to the top or bottom, depending if you want to go clockwise or anticlockwise.

    Hi again, I doing the doors or the 3 panel in Plexiglas completely, will soften ( heat gun ) in a semi circle on top and then at sides to meet down to the side boards as you have. I'll put latchets on all 3 pieces and adding hinges from the front panel to be able to push it along when not spiraling , it usually doesn't dust at front toward you. or perhaps make a cut groove on the front to move it along and avoid the dust all together. The side panels you have , what size circle you made?? That's all for now, when I accomplish it all I'll make a picture of it and send it to you, thanks again very much.

    • @jasonyoung7782
      @jasonyoung7782  Před 6 lety

      That sounds interesting. The size of the holes on the sides are 100mm or 4 inch in diameter. I'll look forward to see it when it is finished.

    • @ccccen
      @ccccen Před 6 lety

      Yes, due to bad back all in wood would be heavier to remove from my router table.

    Hello. What is the maximum length of wood you can put in the router lathe and also what is the maximum diameter of wood you can use please. Also is the same as the trend router lathe .thanks.

    • @jasonyoung7782
      @jasonyoung7782  Před 5 lety +1

      The biggest I have used is 750mm long, you could probably go to around 900mm safely. The maximum diameter is 90mm. I don't know the Trend Router Lathe.

    That’s totally awesome !! 😁👍🏽
    You turn the turning manually I see,but what’s moving/driving the router ?
    I’ll keep looking,but I don’t see it yet.

    • @andrewgarratt5191
      @andrewgarratt5191 Před 4 lety +1

      Ohhhhhhh!!!!, they are linked up via the rods,turning the turning is moving the router at the same time! I see now.
      Did you invent this ?
      I had to do a barley twist once,my wife was frustrated because she manually turned the lathe while I worked the twist with chisels,if she’d seen this video she’d have slapped the taste buds out my mouth that day. 😂😂
