A late friend bought a brand new, '70 cuda that looked exactly like this one. Only difference was that his was a 440 6pack. He loved that car & i was lucky enough to get to ride in it. I was only 17 then, now 54 years later i still remember what it felt like. RIP Charlie. ❤
That's a nice story, thanks for sharing, buddy.
Yep, those 440-6 cars were beasts 'when tuned correctly'. My brother had a rare 71 Dodge Super bee with the 440-6, auto with the dana 60 rear. That car was a missle after my brother added headers and he had his friend who was a MOPAR master tuner tune it for him. I was in that car for many races and believe it or not his best race was a guy with a built 68 RA IV firebird. They were fender to fender down that whole street. My brother beat him by a fender. Second best race was a local legend who had a 70 LS6 chevelle. My brother got him by a half car, twice. I was in the car so I know, LOL. Ahh the good ole days..
I was a u.s park ranger on alcatraz when the movie THE ROCK was make, had a few dinners with mr cage during fliming, nice guy! And he know his American muscle cars!
Cool to hear. Brief interactions over the decades with some famous movie and music people as well. Most were pleasant and some super nice. We all hear the horror stories and no doubt some are bang on but I do believe thought that the rudeness etc of some people would definitely sour anyone at some point.
thank you for your service :}
Doesn't matter to me who owned it. BUT, Triple black 4 speed Super Track Pack #s matching Hemi Cuda...oh YES. A lot nicer than "the Black Ghost"
my ultimate dream car. A triple black 70 hemi cuda 4 speed. Not in this lifetime for me lol
I heard he had to sell the triceratops skull too... Imagine having a dinosaur and a hemi in the same house, I bet Nick is a cool guy, he'd probably talk cars and movies with you all day
I heard for security purposes he had two king cobras in his house too
@@angeloristick6793 that's nuts... But I can believe it, would be like breaking into Jake Roberts pad.
@@l042987 *That's just not true Mr. Jealous.*
Gorgeous car. Way nicer than the black ghost
So sweet 'Cuda. Love it. Awesome price for the black pearl!
These auctions bring out some of the Real Double STROKES
I'm not a fan of black cars, but I'm amazed that it actually has the proper wheels and GASP!!!! REAL TIRES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Awesome HEMI Cuda no matter who owned it. Most likely just a wee bit outta my price range, unfortunately.
Was wondering what it'll sell for, thought it would be closer to a million. It
did sell for half though..
Still a lot of money, how
Many ZL1s or Demons..
could you buy with half?
SWEET.🖤🖤🖤 😎👍
I think the chanter rattled off "Sold at $550,000", not 605.
$605k is prob with all fees attached
Lol buddy, when you purchase a car at auction you pay fees just like at a dealership
@@dannyboyd1299it looks like 10% auction fee
If I had the money I would have bought that. I have seen ones go higher than 550,000. That car is only missing the billboard decals. Maybe 71 only did that. That car is sexy.
Yes 71 had the billboard decals.
❤❤❤ worth every penny if you got the chingo/chango 💰
They must have said Nick Cage 10 times when describing this car. I doubt the name added a dollar to the value. I don't think that has the cache in the car market as McQueen or Newman.
The auctioneer sounded like he was high on sugar 😂
I really like Redbull🤣🤣🤣
@@bbrown5887 lol 😂
❤
I look prices to aftertevo drop
My neighbor owned one of these rear1970 rear hemi Cuda ,I had no idea at the time I was 11 at the time
I got one but 360 in it
nothing wrong with that..I have a 340 Cuda and luv it..
Lucky buggers, enjoy! Cheers😊
wow!! I don't know what to say? to drop that kinda money is.....well, anyway.....lol
Not shure if the the car was close to100% but someone got a good deal, i think.
Do you have #JonVoight's #Chrysler #LeBaron from that episode of #Seinfeld? HaHs
😅
"Just driving in Jon voight's car" - George Castanza
Perfect ❤
Does it come with a 2000's era blonde Angelina Jolie?
Nick Cage was in almost every movie ever made
Cage ain't nothing without cuda.
Who would ever risk driving that on the street?
Like to know how much cage bought the car for ?
Auctioneer must drink engine oil, that was the fastest public speaker i ever heard.
Great buy
Did he even drive this?
Actually...
And the Person that byought it is Certified
Hoovie is pimping auction cars now?
That vinyl top has to go
It has! As far as N.C. is concerned!
