Street Smart Completed No Death Hardest Karateka Arcade

- Street Smart. US version 2. Hardest Difficulty. Played with MamePlus 0.134, not tool assisted or using cheats or save states. Completed with 1 credit.
You can see that this game is harder to complete with the karateka (1 Player). The trick of elbow and low kick doesn't work anymore as it is a slower movement. It only works and not completely, against the first opponent.
The rest can be beaten with the reverse kick trick, except the second and fourth enemies. You must chain hits in a corner to beat them easily.
This time you can check that this game is on Hardest, as I have been hit several times, and they inflict a lot of damage. - Hry
You gotta love the backgrounds in fighting games. Old people, kids, business men... They're all just wanting to see some people beat the hell out of each other in a no holds barred street fight.
The bloodlust of humanity cannot be stifled, only harnessed.
Hence, football games! 😃🏈
Always at least one smokin hot chick in there too. I love the non-political correct 80's.
El maestro roshi
I would be one of those business men. I mean, if you saw two guys dress in SWAGGED OUT combat gear announcing that they are about to fight........ What would you do?
that's p much what the 80s was like.
I still remember the feeling when I first learned about M.A.M.E, downloaded it and started thinking of arcade games I played as a kid. When this one popped into my head, I almost shit my pants just knowing I could play it again.
It's been 3 years. Have you shit your pants, yet?
Same here
Can any good m a m e programs be recommended?

Finally found this!!! I've been trying to figure out what this game was called forever!!! I used to play this at the movie theater as a kid.
Yeah I played this game when I was a kid in China. Didn’t know English, always wondered what this game was called after I grew up.
I played this hundreds of times, I loved it

@@yingzhouli1679 you don´t live in china anymore?
Ah yes, "Street Fighter at home" as the meme goes. Good memories of this.
Could've used a bit more variety in locales. The Midwest was completely ignored. And most of the fighter are pallet swaps.
Takuma when he was young before becoming the evil sinister Mr. Karate in Art Of Fighting.
Is he Takuma?
@@renrezcrypto6155 don’t think it’s officially confirmed but most fans believe it is
Holy shit,never thought of that.Maybe?
Well Karate Man does have Zanretsuken like Takuma and he is called Mr.Karate, also on the home port of Street Smart Karate Man looks just like another Ryo.
@@charlesnash1218 It's revealed that he's Mr. Karate after Ryo beats him.
9:06, the fact that you countered that big guys spam move so effortlessly makes me pissed that i spent so many quarters to get extra lives to only beat one person. That move would legit take half of your health if you were not ready
You and me both, brother. It's definitely more difficult when it's 2 player
The concept is old and simple but great. Street fights, large crowds, sense of progression, Money and GIRLS. It deserves a remake.
In my childhood, my friends and me always though that the last boss was Hulk !!! Hahaha, I loved this game.
So the goal of the game is to collect all the hot 2D women?
That's the goal of our lives, man
Yep. And only one of those women ended up being the mother of Ryo and Yuri from Art of Fighting because I will not accept anybody telling me that the main character isn't a younger Takuma.
The goal is to win prize money, hot babes, and glory on the streets all over America.

4:15 maestro Roshi en el público jajaja
No, Roshi has a beard.
Is tung fu rue not roshi
I see the resemblance to the dragon ball character too.
Looking back I remember this game but often confused it in my mind as being Karate Champ or Street Fighter 1. The ambulance coming to take away your defeated opponent was very distinctive.
man been looking for this thanks for posting
Man, this was the first arcade I played when I was a kid, love this game, it bring me good memories
The adventures of Young Takuma Sakazaki
Can you imagine if they are actually Takuma and Terry's father?
No mames!!!!!
Yup, and player two is Jeff Bogard, have diferents fighter´s the snk in public, Tung fue rue and more, the enemy muay thai is father the Joe Higashi

I loved this game when I was a kid it was so strange to play. How the fighting flowed, how u slid forward when artacking the crazy sound fx that weren't synchro w action made it like a dubbed kung fu movie. Good times
That old man from the first stage and Florida might be master Tung.
OMG I remember this game.. I loved it back in the arcades in high school. Lol the sweep n punch. Lol.. Oh Master Roshi in the background too taking a break from DBZ
Omg I used to have this stand up in my garage! Crazy stuff.
You had an arcade machine in your garage? How come?
Fun game this sure was, and pretty good for it's time. It was pretty much a fighter, that played like a side scrolling beat em up too.
Master Roshi from Dragon Ball in the background 04:00
Yea master roshi!!
well it may be dragon ball was already popular around this time
No it's not, Roshi has a beard!
🤣
Mexico City in the 90´s, machine inside a drugstore and after school I used to spend all my lunch money at probably the most difficult arcade I´ve ever played, I still love the sound design!
I remember as a kid playing this once at this crappy local bodega here in The Bronx. For years I thought THIS was 'Street Fighter 1'.
Buena partida. Saludos. Like y me suscribo.
Where juggling in fighting games originated from!
And people thought Capcom or Mortal Kombat invented it :P
The origins of the pathiarch of the sakazaki clan, the young Takuma sakazaki or Mr karate...
Genial!!! La nostalgia al 100%!!!👍😸😸😸👍
Wow I had so many fun with this Ganme 👍🏻
JOGOU MUITO BEM COM O PERSONAGEM KARATE. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Muito obrigado!
I remember searching the arcades for Street Fighter 1 because I just played Street fighter II, when I saw someone playing this I thought this was Street fighter 1.
i thought so to..that it was either street fighter 1 or pre street fighter
Final Fight was actually supposed to be Street Fighter 2. That's why the health bars look the same, u can beat up the same car and barrels in both games, and the most obvious being the fact u can play as Cody, Guy, Haggar, Poison, Hugo, Abigail, Sodom, and Rolento( all Final Fight characters) in different Street Fighter games or some be included in the same game.
Champion.
Ship.
daison96 A ship full of champions! haha.

Oh YEAH!!!! . Loved this game
I was turned down by the SNK Hospital because the ACA is causing so many loopholes.
Remember, you can keep your Doctor, but only if you defeat your opponents without taking any damage.
i remember playing this one at the arcade when i was a kid in like '89 and crouch kicking my way to a cheesy ass victory. they stole the knockdown sound from pow as well as the part where the characters flash red.
Bosses that flash red near death? Didn't Konami do that first?
It's from snk and it is takuma
Played this game a lot as a kid, think the farthest I ever got was the fourth enemy? Had no idea it was so easy! hahaha
Scott Steiner, is that you?!

For everyone wondering if karate guy is Takuma I can officially confirm it is not, street smart guy has blue eyes,Takuma has brown eyes 👀
Perhaps he is of the kyokugenryu style, since he has one of his special techniques (San retsu Ken). the P2 is a prototype character from "3 Count Bout" ( Terry Rogers)

@@dennisfarrell And Ryo and Yuri's mom (Ryo's blonde hair is by nature)

It's not Takuma
This game, and Side B of Karate Champ, both games were "Area Codes" long before even Roddy Ricch sang his song.
So is that supposed to be a young takuma sakazaki, prior to AOF?
ED Gar As far as I know, it has never been confirmed officially by SNK, but many people think that he is actually Takuma Sakazaki, and the second player is Jeff Bogard.
1p makes sense but 2nd one is i think a wrestler thing and jeff isnt ...!? probably geese!? XD
Total headcanon.
I doubt Jeff would be the wrestler in Street Smart, Ed already said one of the reasons.
But the wrestler in Street Smart is blonde and Jeff has brown hair, so Takuma could be actually the Karate man in Street Smart, but the wrestler must be someone else
If the Karate guy is Takuma, who is the Wrestler guy? Maybe the father or grandfather of Eagle (the Fu'un series)? Geese isn't a wrestler, so it probably isn't him, and I've heard Jeff Bogard wasn't, either.
Fatal Fury prequel starring Takuma Sakazaki and Jeff Bogard 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
you mean Art of Fighting prequel
Fatal Fury too because first music is same as the Fatal Fury (Michael Max stage)
The music of the first phase and the same of the fatal fury 1, phase the beach?
Yes, it has some arrangements but it seems the melody is the same.
yes is the bmg of stage of the boxer michael max from fatal fury
The first stage music is used for PvP battles in Fatal Fury 1.

Thanks Leo! Actually, you only need to know the trick to beat the enemies as you can see :)
Wait! Is this first BG music exactly the same as Michael Max's stage in Fatal Fury 1!! That's priceless!! LOL!

You know what I think this game might be connected to some way or another to King Of Fighter's. The Karateka looks like Takuma Sakazaki.
Felicitaciones Maskaman.
