- This Video Espen Mathiesen shows one of the most effective diving back takes I have ever seen in jiu jitsu. Not only is this an effective way to pass the guard of an extremely flexible opponent, but it is extremely easy to use, very flashy to watch. I hope you like the video and be sure to comment and let us know what you would like to see next.

JT’s hair looking powerful! Excited to hear Espen is gonna revive his channel.
Yeah he has done some amazing videos in the past, I’m excited to see what he comes out with first.
Goddamn this is so good. I’ve been doing this as a crab ride entry from too but this solidifies it. Thanks Epsen
Yeah this variation is just so direct and easy to hit.
i love this channel, god bless you Jon Thomas and Espen Mathiesen
aaaahhhhh this looks dope. 100% chance I will scorpion myself trying it, but I don't care.
Loving this
Thanks for this channel, perfect for refreshing after Lockdown !
Amazing move! Gonna try this out!
Thanks so much buddy!
Slick move, cant wait to try it.
Dream duo. Amazing stuff guys thanks so much
Thanks for sharing this diving back take. I have wondered more about this. It definitely gives me a good start to play with it. I just hope to remember when the situation presents haha.
Amen to that
I have been having so much fun with it since this video, it’s definitely a really effective technique, pretty much anytime they go inverted you can jump for it.
You should do a whole instructional on rolling back takes
I’m sure espen will be releasing something on that topic eventually!
Great lecture! Thanks bro~
Love it! Thanks for sharing 🤗
Nice!
Man, this is such a great channel. Thanks for the free content. Please let us know when you release purchased content. Feel like I owe you a purchase!
Hey buddy thanks a lot I’m working on my first paid video series now it will be in modern collar sleeve, it should be up on my site in like a month or so
Nice back take !!! Thanks for sharing
No problem happy you liked it!
Awesome! Thanks for all the great content 👍
No problem buddy happy to help!
Pensaba que era demasiado complicado ejecutarlo pero tiene sentido ahora! 👊
This is so awesome!
Thanks for sharing
No problem buddy hope you have success with it
Damn that's slick. Good times.
Great video guys!
Thanks buddy!
I’ll definitely be drilling this. Thank you
No problem buddy good luck and hope you take some backs with it
wow beautiful very good. i always do the drag from there. something else to think about
Yeah it’s a super fun attack and so effective
The Wulfing guys always coming out with heat. Any chance we get Tommy on here in ye future?
The teabag pass.
interesting subtle difference between Espen and Jon's versions: Espen places his far hand on the mat, Jon uses it to reach for the horse collar grip/upper back gi grip instead
I think it’s just because espen is trying to be nice and controlled when showing the technique, if you watch the clips when he actually does it in the tournament he goes straight for the collar grip.
@@JonThomasBJJ thanks for the insight!
Wow! That was neat💪
It’s such a sick sequence I have been using it a lot since he taught it
@@JonThomasBJJ yeah! I just tryed it few times, it is fast and simple!
Could this be viable in no gi?
So cool 🙌🧐🥰
Thanks buddy happy you liked it!
I think rolling backtake must be one of the firsts options to look for together with other classic backtakes. Could you make an overall picture of backtake as a premium strategy of offense ?
I would say I wouldn’t be thinking about it before hand I would just take the back if they happen to expose a situation where I know it’s available. I’m just as happy win by submission or passing and finishing from top.
Ótimo👍😁
Will you guys do a instructional together already?!
Well we will both be releasing our own instructionals soon so we will keep you posted on that.
is there a no-gi equivalent?
It’s gonna be a bit harder no gi but I think if you tried for it I would focus on your arm that normally grab their hip to crab around their hip thigh area then the grip that was going up high on their collar behind their neck, instead goes to their shoulder
Is it viable to do the first one when you have a double unders pressure pass? I’m trying to play it in my head but it seems super challenging
You could do it from there but only after you have fully stacked them up on their neck. There are a few other diving back take sequences that would work for that as well. Check out my videos with Andris Brunovskis for how to fully stack the person up on their neck
naaais
The jumping jews of Jerusalem would love this move.
I don't want to pull someone's butt crack tho! :p
