- Originally aired on Saturday, August 13, 1988, this Miller Lite Beer commercial features slugger Greg Luzinski, formerly of the Philadelphia Phillies and Chicago White Sox. This commercial ran throughout the 1988 baseball season on many national broadcasts.
By the end of the 1980s, Miller Lite was beginning to move away from featuring retired athletes in comedic spots such as this, but this Luzinski ad is nonethelss part of the Miller Lite lineage of memorable sports-themed commercials.
Props to Bobby Lee for his fine acting at the end. And of course the caddy is wearing a rice hat LOL!
Which came first this commercial or Caddy Shack?
@@nickhill8612 Pretty sure Caddyshack was roughly a decade earlier.
Oh The Good Ole Days, Greg Luzinski and Mike Schmidt Driving in Pete Rose and winning a World Series'
Oh man could the Phillies use a combo like that now! Sigh:/
His golf swing is pure
Sadly you never see anything but Modelo commercials now
He’s in my family
I LOVE IT!!
Why wasn't he still playing baseball in 1988 he was 38 years old. I left the game at age 33??? Weight issues???
He had back problems. Back then(no pun intended), back surgery was very risky so he had 4 tremendous years then the back became an issue. He fought for a long time to avoid retirement. He spent his final years as a DH for the White Sox. If it wasnt for his back he'd be in the 500 hr club for sure. His OBP & SP were right there with all of them in that club during his reign of terror through the mid 70"s
Haha I’d like to see this commercial run today lol all these snowflakes would just loose their heads
Hahaha I know right.
Take your meds, grandpa
He must have sliced it - that was North Korea.

@@ughettapbacon Such anger, did I touch a nerve? Great, do you feel the frustration? That's the frustration we feel everyday. It's the frustration we feel when we are asked silly questions like explain the racism in an obvious commercial.
This commercial was racist and triggered me.
Are you serious? If so, snap out of it.
It's snowing heavily where you are.
